What I love most about watching Rich is the "can do" attitude. Nothing seems to faze you. I think so many people would say "nah, this isn't going to fit, too much work" etc. but you just shrug your shoulders and get on with it. Seriously impressive attitude, and what sets apart tinkerers from proper problem solvers and truly great engineers. "If you ain't filthy, you ain't rich" is only half the motto. Inspirational, Rich. Chapeau!

Crazy idea, instead of cutting the chassis, put and old skool style sleeper box behind the cab for those long trips.

If you ever get into the electronic 466, 530, or 570, let us know! We've been tuning a lot of those lately with really good results. And we're with you on the transmission. We had a customer with a 466 and a 9-speed and it was absolutely awesome.

air to air is possible without any modifications. use one of the international half and half radiator / air charge cooler. that would solve the clearance issue. i buy trucks for parts. cheapest way to get all the parts i need reasonably.
@petergozinya72909 ай бұрын
Coming from a Class A guy in the USA you will regret supers in the rear the first time you get a flat plus duals are way better looking in my opinion. Duals ride better, handle better, wider track width for stability. Many reason for them, especially on a straight truck. Can always run low pro 22.5 on the front to get wheel well clearance 🤷♂️ but then wides do look great up front!!!

Look for a center section for the rear end with a taller gear. Im running a 3.07 gear in a f800 with a 6spd and no overdrive. I put a governor spring set in the pump and itll run 100 if I push it. If that motor has a p-pump Cummins gov springs should fit for some more rpm. Cool project

Be blessed Joas, when I broke my heels, I fell from 39 feet straight down to my driveway. I crawled on my hands and knees inside, and later to the car for my wife to drive me to the hospital. Once at the hospital, I was told I would never walk again without assistance. I refused to give up, so stay strong Joas, you can overcome this, and with time, faith, and perseverance, you can walk again

Those old DT466s sound good actually. My first and previous job had em. My first job had a 90s one I’m gonna guess it’s definitely 90s, manual transmission everyone said it sucked ass to drive cause the gears are so close to each other. You could float gears in it too. I guess international transmission it was a international gear shifter. It sounded awesome I remember hear the turbo and all it was loud. I think it had a muffler. Underneath was the exhaust blew so much blue smoke it’s hilarious damn thing smelled too. Talk about a old truck. Loved that idle too. Wish it had a engine brake I don’t think it did. I didn’t mind it actually enjoyed it. You just gotta know what your doing. Hell I can shift 2 shifter transmissions I got a Eaton Roadranger 2 stick in my 8 model W9. That ole national you could hear that air brakes all the way on the other side of the yard lol. It had crazy rust. Definitely retired now.
