I wouldn't be the plaintiff because I don't mess with married women, but if I did this and lost the case, I'd tell everybody I'm going to have it treat the money I loaned as if I used her as a prostitute for that period of time.

He may be successful if he didn't ask for every penny he ever gave her. He should have chosen the largest amounts and admitted the others were gifts and not loans(that's why he excluded them). But, that the amounts he's requesting were definitely agreed upon to be repaid. Part 2 will be interesting, this could go either way.
