They offered an appearance fee, trip to L.A., and judgment paid. Seemed like a fair enough trade for some show that would air once and never be seen again. There's no way the segment would carry on after the initial airing and maybe a few reruns. (The Internet wasn't a prominent aspect of everyone's life then and KZbin channels devoted to archiving old TV shows was 20 years away. Even when KZbin started, it was only about original videos.)

If the Plaintiff did not testify that he had a recording of the Defendant admitting she'd begin reimbursing the money he loaned her, this might have gone differently. Defendant seems to like the convenience of lying when she thinks it will benefit her and I'm thinking her husband, while embarrassed and uneasy sitting there listening to his wife admit to an affair for 2 years and no longer loving him as a husband, might have been there so she couldn't lie to him when she got home from court about what happened. If he's already seeking a divorce quietly that she's not aware of yet, what is presented in this courtroom might help him in his divorce proceedings concerning her character, trustworthiness and honesty. He's got to consider alimony she'll most likely insist upon in a divorce as well as child support, so hearing the testimony personally gives him the straight story for his divorce attorney. At least I like to hope that's his reason for being present during this humiliating experience she created.

Husband looked like he was studying the testimony carefully, and thinking about it. It seems to me he was listening for discrepancies between what was said here, and what she has been telling her him at home. I suspect that his wife will be in trouble when they get home, and she may not have a bed to sleep in, if her lies to her husband were as weak and continuing as the lies she told here. Nothing like court testimony to expose the other side of the story, and to reveal the sordid details. It is normal with a reconciliation for there to be a promise to come clean and there to be no more lies, and I suspect that husband knew nothing about that recorded phone call. He also probably knew nothing of a bank account under his name that was being used for her boyfriend's money. Both very revealing, and sordid details. These are the sorts of things to make a man think to himself that enough is enough, and that he could never again trust this woman.

She was his woman for 2 odd years, even tho she still played house with her husband. I do not believe they were loans. He was giving his woman money to spend on herself. If SHE loaned him money, wth did she not keep track of the LOANS? She cheated on her husband for at least 2 years, I don't believe anything she says. As an aside, dont put your hand in someone elses cookie jar. If you are attached to someone, be it bf/gf, married, whatever, if you are not happy where you are, either talk to your other and fix it, or if you just want OUT, be honest about it, leave, don't keep up the charade and use and deceive the person.
