My husband is self employeed, and I am a stay at home (homeschooling) mom of teenagers. Using your advice in 2023, we were able to pay off over $23,000 in debt, save 2 months emergency fund and STILL take a family trip to Flordia! 🎉

I feel like daycare costs everywhere are so high. I live in a city in Wisconsin and 2k/mo in childcare is definitely here too! Of course you can find cheaper and more expensive, but the average is pretty high for being Wisconsin

Oh wow! Yeah the way daycare is setup is not sustainable at all. Workers are underpaid, parents are over charged, and providers barely break even. Not a business model anyone wants to be i .

I assume the monthly income on that spreadsheet is after taxes and pre-tax retirement contributions with the way you're tracking expenses? Do one or both of you always max out the pre-tax retirement contribution options that are available to you?

Nice Video....does this means you all did not do any investing this year? Like in your Solo 401k, SEP IRA, or Individual Brokerage ACC? I Kyle retirements are taken out pretax.

We did! A few taxable brokerage accounts, my SEP-IRA, and his 401k.
