They throw accusations and act very prideful as if we weren’t together for 1000 years. I told a friend who is EO about the council of Florence in 1400, in which all but one EO agreed to recommunion with Rome . He said the reason they backed out was because when the bishops went home they were murdered by vigilante civilians. He went on to say those peolle saved the church . This is what we’re dealing with . It’s very sad . Why do people want to be right so bad ?? He’s the same person who will say how important it is to have a bishop in your life to guide you , but then also says it was the right thing to rebel with violence when all bishops through intercession of the Holy Spirit said reunion was best . But no, He says “we don’t want to be RC” Even though they wouldn’t , nothing would change by rejoining . They’d still be the eastern rite

@@Sanfu69 you have the idea that regular Christianity is cross-less but i respectfully disagree. i genuinely hope that you realize the error in that idea and i hope that God helps you with it. if God wills, i do my best to clear your idea on regular Christianity up. lets imagine i broke the law by going too fast in a nice mclaren 720s. im on the expressway doing 220mph. but then, in the middle of speeding, i go past a speed check and the cops start to come after me. but because im in such a fast car, i have a good feeling about the whole situation and then run from the police and try to get away. and i do get away.. until the fast car runs out of fuel, and i stop on the side of the road. i ran out of gas because i was already going fast, and then wasted EVEN MORE gas running from the police. so now im stopped on the side of the road, and the police that chased after me catches up. they see my car stopped on the side of the road, gets me out of the car, and sends me to go to the judge. now im infront of the judge and im told that because i was speeding so fast, i have to pay a big expensive fine. but i cant afford to pay that expensive fine.. i only had enough for the fast car and nice house but that was pretty much it.. i dont have enough money to pay the big expensive fine. and i tell the judge that, and the judge looks at me and says, "well as much as i would love to let you go, i have to uphold the law because it is my job." but then as the judge speaks, a man.. a man in red clothes with an unshaven beard, unshaven hair, and holes in His hands walks up to the judge and pays the expenisve fine for me. and now i dont have to pay anything. now i am free from having to pay that expensive fine. and the judge lets me go free. "oh happy days‼️" (when Jesus washed all my sins away) thats what Jesus Christ did for us. thats the beliefs of the regular Christians. sin is the speeding. sin = breaking the speed limit. breaking the speed limit = breaking the law. i get caught and brought to the judge and have to pay a big expensive fine... i have to pay for my sins with the punishment of death.. because if you sin, you get punished. but i cant pay for my sins. because id have to die in order to do that.. but Jesus did. Jesus died and took on our punishment of sin so we dont have to take that punishment ourselves.... then rose 3 days later with all power in His hands. as you may know back in the Moses/Aaron times, *T H E G E N U I N E F I R S T C H U R C H E S T A B L I S H E D B Y G O D* in order to clean themselves from sin, members of the congregation would take an animal and offer it up for sacrafice to God. in order to be clean from sin, they would have to make a blood sacrafice to God. they would have to use a goat or a lamb or a cow.. but keep in mind the animal itself had to be spotless. without blemish. thats Jesus. and this if fact. He cleans us from our sin. His blood was spilled for us to be clean.. and He was spotless. sinless. no blemish. The Lamb Of God. The King Of Kings. due to His actions, we regular Christians are no longer held back by death. it has no sting anymore. it cant hurt us.. all because Jesus rose from the dead, and defeated death. when we people, as Christians believe in God, we are covered by what Jesus did, and it then applies to us. we are delivered from evil. we regular Christians arent perfect, but Jesus is, and we believe in Him. we sin alot, but Jesus never sinned... and we believe in Him. we call out evil for what it is aswell. and that is one thing that Jesus did too. and we Love. just like Jesus does. our emotions come from Him. and its only better that He is inside us and we are inside Him. it is written "...for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." this is what we regular Christians believe in. Jesus Christ. God. Trust in God. not in anyone else. God, and God alone. Him exclusively. and get to know Him. so you dont go calling His children and servants, "cross-less" when you read His books with His words in them, dont go looking for yourself... look for Him.🤍🤍🤍

@@Patel-Chirag-Gupta seems it hit a nail with you and you felt a need to have to defend your own presuppositions. The truth is one is not a follower of Christ because one announces himself to be so neither because he chooses one of the modern day appropriations of Christianity where men get up and in their own authority teach their congregations mutually exclusive beliefs about the things Christ taught. And no Jesus is not fire insurance, it’s not just about you, and what will happen after you die. It’s about reconciliation to God and that takes place by actually pursuing God in the life Jesus taught his apostles to live, the same way passed down in the church. The devils know Jesus died and rose again. Jesus indeed finished his work, but you don’t partake of it by saying you acknowledge it but then take no serious consideration in the actual prescriptions and way of life Jesus taught. Because that would be like saying you believe in the doctor, you even called the doctor, you talk about how you’re a patient but then you act like his prescriptions are not a big deal to take seriously to follow. This is why Jesus the Son of God in the flesh said “few will be saved” when someone asked him in the gospels. There’s the narrow way the way Jesus taught his apostles to abide in to be saved and participate in the kingdom of God on this earth and then there’s the very me-centered perspective on the gospel that is all too common.

I commend the Catholic Church for coming together with Assyrian church of the east and opening communion to understand years of misunderstanding and being misunderstood by calling us nestorians just because we don’t use mother God and refer to the Holy mother as mother Of Jesus Christ. Knowingly knowing that our church has never objected to Jesus being God. Instead of having open conversation to try and understand the terminology and the way it’s been used they want to condemn a church. It’s sad knowing the history of our martyred church in Iraq, Syria and the across the Middle East the many have sacrificing their lives for Christ at the hands of the evil then just to be condemned by our own brothers in Christ. I pray for the communion, respect and understanding of all our apostolic church’s.

The main differences between Orthodox Christianity and Roman Catholicism. the main things which keep our religions separate are: Papal Supremacy, Papal Infallibility, The Filioque, Absolute Divine Simplicity, Created Grace Doctrine, natural theology, scholasticism, Original sin, sacred heart doctrine, Immaculate conception, Purgatory, Merits/Indulgences, evolution of Dogma,imaginative prayer, "beatific vision" etc Then the Forced Celibacy of Priests, The use of Unleavened Bread in the Eucharist, The Adoption and change of the Christian calendar, The use of Renaissance statues, Pews, Child Communion, improper non immersion baptism, Cardinals, and differences in liturgical practices (Alter tables, Iconostasis, priest positioning etc) all of those things, we say the Western Church adopted and innovated and became heretical when they adopted these things. And we say that in the early church NONE of these things existed, there is no evidence of these things. No examples of Papal Infallibility, No examples of merits/indulgences, and no examples of unleavened wafer bread, and such. In fact in the west, In Rome. It looked a lot similar to how we Orthodox exist today. Our priests can get married, we use Icons and not statues, we use the old calendar etc Orthodoxy Vs Roman Catholicism: Energy Essence Distinction vs Absolute Divine Simplicity Ancestral Sin vs Original Sin Non Filioque Trinity vs Filioque Trinity Patriarchy vs Papacy Revealed Theology vs Natural Theology Hesychasm Vs Scholasticism Theosis vs Sanctification Married Priest vs Celibate Priests Infant Communion Vs Non Infant Communion Iconography vs Statues Full Immersion Baptism vs Sprinkle Baptism One Baptism vs Confirmation Baptism Leavened Communion Bread vs Unleavened Communion bread Julian Calendar vs Pope Gregory's Calendar We are not the same Religion, we do not have the same faith, and anyone who looks into either religions genuinely will see how different we are.

Catholics stopped receiving on the hand to eliminate sacrilege against the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and increase belief in the Real Presence. Same with reception of the Chalice. Fr. Adrian Fortescue has that change in the West before the 800s, at least in practice. The Church has always progressed Her Liturgy to develop and reinforce the Divine Faith. It's not the practice, per se, that is the problem, but the intention behind it. As doctrines concerning the Real Presence were explored and the realities of the Doctrine expounded, the practice of reception on the hand was discarded as potentially dangerous (not inherently dangerous). It was reintroduced, first by heretics who rejected the belief in the Real Presence (Luther, Calvin, Cranmer) and then by individuals who were more concerned with appeasing Protestants (the vice of human respect) than preserving the Faith (that would be the Modernist clerics of the 1960s).

Communion in the hand for the first 800 years in the Catholic Church ? SEE BELOW 😂 (I’m Catholic but that’s a wild claim and should be corrected) St. Sixtus 1 (circa 115): "The Sacred Vessels are not to be handled by others than those consecrated to the Lord." St. Basil the Great, Doctor of the Church (330-379): "The right to receive Holy Communion in the hand is permitted only in times of persecution." St. Basil the Great considered Communion in the hand so irregular that he did not hesitate to consider it a grave fault. The Council of Saragossa (380): Excommunicated anyone who dared continue receiving Holy Communion by hand. This was confirmed by the Synod of Toledo. The Synod of Rouen (650): Condemned Communion in the hand to halt widespread abuses that occurred from this practice, and as a safeguard against sacrilege. 6th Ecumenical Council, at Constantinople (680-681): Forbade the faithful to take the Sacred Host in their hand, threatening transgressors with excommunication. St. Thomas Aquinas (1225- 1274): "Out of reverence towards this sacrament [the Holy Eucharist), nothing touches it, but what is consecrated; hence the corporal. and the chalice are consecrated, and likewise the priest's hands, for touching this sacrament." (Summa Theologica, Part III, Q. 82, Art. 3, Rep. Obj. 8.) The Council of Trent (1545- 1565): "The fact that only the priest gives Holy Communion with his consecrated hands is an Apostolic Tradition." Pope Paul VI (1963-1978): "This method (on the tongue] must be retained." (Memoriale Domini) Pope John Paul II: "To touch the sacred species and to distribute them with their own hands is a privilege of the or-dained." (Dominica: Cene, 11)

The idea of not depicting the Father as incarnate man in Art indeed has historical precedence, but you will find many Orthodox in contemporary times treating it as absolute dogma which it is not. A lot of this hinges on the discussion of who is the Ancient of Days in the book of Daniel. Orthodox Ethos, run by Father Peter Heers, put a video out about 4 months ago titled, "Who is the Ancient of Days?". In this video, Heers claims that the overwhelming patristic consensus is that the Ancient of Days depicted in the book of Daniel is actually Christ as the pre-incarnate Logos and that the Son of Man is a proto depiction of the Human Nature of Christ. Many people are not aware that this is a very common understanding of the vision Daniel has. Firstly, Heers is wrong. While some fathers and patristic writers did view it this way, it would be abhorrently incorrect to say that it was the majority view. It was anything but that, and the further you go back you see that the most common view held was that the Son of Man is solely Christ and that the Ancient of Days is the Father. Keep in mind, it is extremely important to remember that even though this is the case, the title and image of the Ancient of Days can be applied to any of the three persons of the Trinity. We see this done in revelation where the physical manifestation of the Ancient of Days is applied specifically to Christ himself. Father John Whiteford, a well known Orthodox Priest and Scholar actually has a write up that shows the errors in the view that the Ancient of Days in Daniel is pre-incarnate Christ. He's even been on Orthodox Ethos as a guest and many other well known channels, he's reliable and well respected. Many will point to the Moscow Synod of 1667 as dogmatically prohibiting the practice of depicting the Father. A few issues here, one being that Great Moscow Synod was not a Pan-Orthodox Council that received widespread reception, nor has it fared historically well in its decrees. Its prohibition on depicting the Father and Holy Spirit can be viewed as a temporal and local prohibition. Secondly, the council is one of the most overridden councils in the history of the Church. To circle around, the modeen contempt for depiction of Father and Holy Spirit has been overblown and can be seen as a small "t" tradition. Alas, with all that said, Orthodox Kyle is far from being the epitome of an Orthodox Spokesperson. While he has some good content and loves God with great zeal, much of his content shows a huge lack in actual knowledge and understanding of the Orthodox Church or her history. He definitely carried over many Traditionalist Latin positions that he has yet to realize are not reconcilable with the Orthodox view. Last I checked, he still holds the view that it is irreverent to receive on the hand all the while being completely unaware that this was the norm of the early Church and that the Council of Trullo for the Orthodox decreed that it is preferable to receive in one's own hand when permissible, over the use of recepticals. God bless, He is Risen! ☦️✝️

The Pope actually didn't say anything heretical. The religions he mentioned in that speech (Sikhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam) their purpose and intention is to get people on a path to reach one God, which isn't false. This doesn't change the fact that the Catholic Church contains the fullness of truth of God whereas the other religions don't. Even the Catechism states: "The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as "a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life."

Questions roman Catholics can't answer: How can Vatican 1 be true if the council of Ephesus declares the autocephaly of Cyprus, and Rome now does not recognize the first council of Lateran as ecumenical, even if it was called by the pope? How come Cantate Dominum states non Catholics go to hell even if they shed blood for Christ and nowadays non Catholics can be saints? how do you worship the Trinity and Christ if Lumen Gentium states you worship the same god as muslims, who deny the Trinity and the divinity of Jesus? 1. Vatican I and the Council of Ephesus: The Council of Ephesus (431 AD) focused on issues like the autocephaly of Cyprus, which is a matter of local church governance. Vatican I (1870 AD), on the other hand, defines the Pope’s infallibility on matters of faith and morals, which is a completely different issue. The recognition of autocephaly doesn’t contradict the universal spiritual authority the Pope holds, as defined in Vatican I. 2. Cantate Domino and Non-Catholics: Cantate Domino (from the Council of Florence) needs to be understood in its historical context, which emphasized the necessity of unity with the Church for salvation. However, the Church has since clarified, especially in Lumen Gentium from Vatican II, that while the Church is the ordinary means of salvation, God’s grace can operate outside the visible boundaries of the Church. This is why we now acknowledge the possibility of salvation for non-Catholics and even recognize non-Catholic saints who lived lives of heroic virtue. 3. Worship of the Trinity vs. Muslims in Lumen Gentium: Lumen Gentium states that Muslims acknowledge the same Creator, but it doesn’t claim that their understanding of God is identical to that of Christians. Catholics believe in the Trinity, which Muslims explicitly deny, and that’s a key theological difference. While the Church respects their belief in one God, this doesn’t mean we worship in the same way or believe in the same understanding of God, especially when it comes to the divinity of Christ. I hope this helps clear up some of the confusion. These are nuanced issues, but Catholic teaching has developed a coherent response over the centuries. Peace to you!
@778FraxK2 ай бұрын
@@erikmartinez8735 1. you didn't explain how it doesn't contradict. In the Vatican 1 system no church can have autocephaly. Do any Catholic church has autocephaly today, for example? 2.in other words, a contradiction. Cantate Dominum says no one can be saved outside your church 3.the issue isn't about the understanding of god, the issue is that Lumen gentium states you adore THE SAME god. The issue here is that muslims reject the Trinity and deny Jesus is Christ, they say god can't have a son, etc

1:21:44 That is so NOT true. I’ve been to an Assyrian church of the east and east Syriac liturgies many times, they’re absolutely NOT similar in any way to the novus ordo. They vail the altar with a curtain, face the east, present both bread and wine, the whole liturgy goes for about 3h. I don’t know where you got that the novus ordo is similar to that of the first 400 years. I know you don’t wanna admit it, but many Catholic apologists dislike and novus ordo alot but don’t wanna say it, that’s why they attend eastern catholic liturgies because they know deep down how empty and modern is the novus ordo. Another thing, the way the eastern clerics of the Chaldean church is absolutely DISTINGUISHABLE from that of a muslim cleric. They literally wear crosses, and anyone, even a non Christian can tell them apart. Pope John should’ve known that very well before kissing the quran. In fact, in the image you’ve shown, there was a man standing with an arabian dress that can easily be identified as a muslim, as Christians from that region do NOT dress like that, I know that because I lived with them. So, again, I don’t know where are you getting these false information from. I mean, you could just say pope John was wrong for kissing the quran.

As a Hindu with an intellectual interest in Christianity and apologetics from different religions, I admire the Eastern orthodox church. However, a lot of the online orthodox community seems to be somewhat fanatical and even somewhat prejudiced against Catholics and Protestants. I don't mean that all of them are that way, but it's a tendency I've noticed. Catholics tend to be much more charitable in my opinion, although I'm sure one or two are probably also fanatical. It's just that I don't see that very often. I like Kyle and I think he means well, but I think he needs to grow out of what seems to be quite fanatical tendencies. It was very interesting hearing a Catholic response to his critiques.

I was an ortho bro because it confirmed my biases... I'm a traditionalist but had to get over my disagreements with the Novus Ordo. I don't have an Latin Mass near me. Idk how Kyle could leave that, I will pray for him as well. I'm worried he is leading people astray just as I did when I was Protestant.

@@jamesbrophy3399do you know what protestant means? it means to protest. protest agaisnt what exactly? the beleif in God? no.. not at all. but the belief in roman catholicism.. yep. thats what it means to be a protestant. if you protest the roman catholic religion. (intended understanding is important) i sencerely believe that catholicism only exists because someone or some people purposely misinterpreted scripture, and then put themself/themselves on a pedistal..which you can see in the examples shown by the history the of Rome's existence. The popes have regularly claimed to be divine. and the belief in such blasphemies has so assimilated into society that its believed by many beyond Catholic circles. this is one truth claim and if God wills, ill show evidence for it. even though the action of that alone should show that its not of God. seeing as none of the apostles before hand did or said what catholicism teaches.. and none of the apostles misled people in such a way that they had those people go on to think that they were divine... but catholicism does. it does that exactly. and i have some evidence for this truth claim aswell. two truth claims. one focuses on the people being misled, and me showing evidence of that. and the other one focuses on the leaders of catholicism DOING the misleading, and me showing evidence for that. why i do i believe that this is wrong? because its anti-Christ. certain men are not to take the words that Christ spoke, and play around with them. misinterpreting them in a way which the interpretation, leads to actions that are anti-Christ.

@@humbirdms2784 if you think what i say is qorthy of needing prayer you should look at this dirt i have on catholicism. still pray for me though my guy. please, do the luke 11 one for me. Any who value even the name of Christ ought to have nothing whatsoever to do with Roman Catholicism, and its many blasphemies, not in the least of which is the equation of the Pope with God. After all such a one, as the Popes are, is, according to the words of St. Gregory the Great, the “imitator of Lucifer” and the “forerunner of Antichrist”, and what relationship of prayer or anything else can a Christian have with one whose blasphemies are not even surpassed by the devil himself? The Bible does not support the belief of papal infallibility. It declares that "all of sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Roman 3:23). This includes the Pope. These boasts of the Papal State fulfill the Bible's prediction of what the Antichrist power would do: And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws...(Daniel 7:25). And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven (Revelation 13:5-6). in short, it just doesnt align with God’s will and if anything is against it… Throughout the centuries of Rome's existence, the popes have regularly claimed to be divine. As the supposed successor of Peter, the Pope claims infallibility, the position of God on Earth, and ability to judge and excommunicate angels. The Catholic Council of Trent in 1545 declared this: We define that the Holy Apostolic See and the Roman Pontiff hold primacy over the whole world.i In the same century, Cardinal Robert Bellarmine stated this: All names which in the Scriptures are applied to Christ, by virtue of which it is established that he is over the church, all the same names are applied to the Pope.ii The belief in such blasphemies has so assimilated into society that its believed by many beyond Catholic circles, and ill show evidence for that truth claim. blasphemy: The Gloss of Extravagantes of Pope John XXII says this: To believe that our Lord God the Pope has not the power to decree as he is decreed, is to be deemed heretical. (emphasis added) blasphemy: In 1302 Pope Boniface said this in a letter to the Catholic Church Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontif. blasphemy: Pope Pius V said this The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth. ” All names which in the Scriptures are applied to Christ, by virtue of which is established that He is over the church, all the same names are applied to the Pope.” On the authority of the Councils,book 2,chapter 17 (and this is what catholicism did to put itself on the pedistal in the first place. it applied the name “rock” onto a man other than God…when all throughout the holy bible “rock” is noted to be a title for God Himself. this is clearly heretical. clearly blasphemous. clearly anti-Christ..) blasphemy: “We hold upon this earth the place of Almighty God” Pope Leo XIII Encyclical Letter of June 20,1894 evidence for people being misled: The Pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, He is Jesus Christ himself, hidden under the veil of flesh.” Catholic National July 1895 Pope Boniface VIII, Unam Sanctam, November 18, 1302 “The pope, as the Vicar of Christ on earth, possesses the same full power of jurisdicton that Christ Himself possessed during His human life.” evidence for people being misled: In the Catholic point of view, "we hold upon this Earth the place of God" makes perfect sense, as Catholics believe that the Pope is the Vicar (i.e. Representative) of Christ…” which again, is heretical. blasphemy: The Catholic Church, mother and immaculate virgin, although destined to fill the whole world with her members, has nevertheless but one head, which must be venerated by all. Whoever dishonours that head claims in vain to be one of her members. That head is the Church of Rome, whose power the great Constantine recognizes in his Donation. Now, as Bishop of Rome, the Pope is the Vicar of God charged with the care of the churches.” Pope ‘St.’ Leo IX, ibid. blasphemy: Pope Clement VI., Acta Clementis, c. 1350; cited in the Roman Catholic publication: Granfield, Patrick, The Limits of the Papacy, NY: Crossroad, 1987; p.36. “The pope can do all things God can do.” blasphemy: “Though unworthy, We take the place of God on earth” Pope Benedict XIV, Ubi Primum, Dec. 3, 1740. blasphemy “The Pope is Christ in office, Christ in jurisdiction and power...We bow down before thy voice, O Holy Father, as we would before Christ Himself.” blasphemy “We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.” “...it came to pass in the secret design of God’s providence that We were chosen to fill this Chair of St. Peter and to take the place of the Person of Christ Himself in the Church...” Pope Leo XIII, “Reunion of Chrisendom”, June 20, 1894; Great Encyclical Letters of Pope Leo XIII: Benziger Brothers, p. 304); On the Rosary [September 8, 1892].] evidence of people beijg misled: “He who will be disobedient to Christ on earth, who stands in the stead of Christ in heaven, will not share in the fruit of the blood of the Son of God.’ ‘Even if he [the Pope] were an incarnate devil we ought not to raise up our heads against him, but calmly lie down to rest on his bosom.’” John Bosco [1815-1888], considered a great modern saint and doctor by the Papacy, Meditazioni, Vol. 1: 2nd ed., pp. 89-90. evidencr of people being misled: The Pope is “God on earth”“Jesus has placed the pope higher than the prophets, than John the Baptist, and than all the angels”“Jesus has put the Pope on the same level as God Himself!” -John Bosco [1815-1888] blasphemy: “Witnesses of Tradition? Now that you explain why it is moral and the very great reasons why it shouldn’t be used makes a whole lot of sense and I’m glad that you went into detail about it so I can learn so much more. Let me share my experience: a little bit more than one year ago, on the lent of 2023 (if I am not wrong), I came in contact with the "orthobro" (in contrast with actual eastern orthodox) online world. After dwelling into the rabbit hole of orthobroxy, I joined some orthobro discord servers whose moderators were the "elite" of orthodox online apologetics, mainly Jay Dyer, David Erhan and Kyle. I was 14 back then, so no wonder if I did a ton of cringe stuff back when I was unable to use discord in a serious way. At some point, I even planned to contact a parish. But at the end, after doing a little bit more research, I realized that these people were quite suspicious: Jay Dyer is infamous for calling people who annoyed him "gay" (just like a clash royale player, bruh), David Erhan made a mysoginistic video claiming that, according to the Church Fathers, women are lesser beings (he might as well be quote-mining, I hope) and this Kyle guy was basically the third member of this triad of discord leaders. Obviously there is the "big boss" of the situation, Peter Heers, a rather suspicious priest. Finally I have escaped that "orthobro" world, maybe God allowed me to be cringe in order to learn a lesson.
