I objected to the rosary for less than 24 hours. Yeah, everything felt off in that timeframe. Went back to doing it ASAP, and do it twice a day now. Lord be with you all🙏✝️

The Rosary is based on Scripture and is often used to make requests, thank God, or ask for a favor

@@dashriprock5720 tbh I would believe that too but I was born a catholic and I changed to Christianity and my mom when I talk to her now and everything she says about Catholicism it’s just very wrong and ties in with the explanation so either certain churches are preaching/teaching wrong or it is wrong but idk because for now I’m looking and searching for more information on all of this So far Catholicism and the whole saints and Mary thing are true in my eyes which is one big reason why it’s wrong but I’m gonna keep digging because I’m not 100% also because of what this guy is saying

The Marian dogmas are not taught in scripture. That alone is enough to not be Roman Catholic. He did not imply that the OT is over the NT but that the Bereans verified the apostles by what they knew was the word of God. So every dogma of the church must be verified by what we know is the word of God.

For every “Hail Mary”, there is a “Blessed is the fruit of your womb - Jesus”. But even so, the words aren’t the heart of the Rosary, but the meditation we are focusing on while we say the words… we meditate on the life of Jesus, so Jesus the center point of every “Hail Mary”.

Catholics are way into the ritual of things and that's why I disagree with them on many things. However, I will never say bad things about them because they are trying to be close to Jesus just as I am. Saying hail Mary won't really count as repentance but pleading to God and Jesus to forgive you will.

I wish Catholics would stop using the term non-Catholic Christian. Christ only founded one true Church, not two or more. Protestantism is not Christianity, but a corrupt and mutilated deviation of it. It also confuses Catholics and makes them think that its okay to be a Protwatant when it's not. And it makes the Protestants feel safe and secure in their Protestantism when you acknowledge them as Christians. Why would they convert to the true faith if they're already Christian? They don't see the need to.

I like where you’re going with this. Catholics used to emphasize Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus but they’ve softened their approach. And what has this softened approach resulted in: from my observation it’s resulted in Catholics always being on the defensive and allowing people who believe they’re right when they’re incorrect, dictate the conversation. You have Protestants unapologetically proclaiming that Catholics will not be saved, meanwhile us Catholics will say that a Protestant COULD be saved. Bro… I feel your pain. This isn’t a correct correlation. The Rosary is literally used to meditate in Christs life, by saying it is incorrect or shouldn’t be used you are quite literally saying you shouldn’t meditate on Christs life.

Joseph Smith was never an inspired divine prophet, while early known allusion to the Rosary are the the meditations of the 150 Psalms. But another early allusion would be the involved with the Desert Fathers.

@@shanksofromeI’m not sure about the correlation either, but the argument in this video seems to say objecting to the Rosary = objecting to mediation and growth in Christ. However, it’s not usually meditation on Christ that Protestants object to, but the method of meditating on Christ. For example, most Protestants believe that seeking assistance from saints like Mary instead of God is wrong and puts humans in God’s place (idolatry). If someone believes that, then they would be right to object to the Rosary because they believe it involves idolatry. Idolatry has no place in growing closer to Christ.

I understand what you are saying. Doesn't there seem to be a discrepancy though, between what Jesus is saying and what the disciples are saying, at least when you take this at face value. Can you speak to why these do not line up the same. I know I have wondered about this for a while now, even trying to refer to myself as 'dad' to my children and not 'father.'
