I don't think you should give the kinds of people who you're targeting this to a platform tbh. especially the fans of drinker who will most likely engage with this video, they've realized The Boys is a surprisingly left leaning show. This means that most if not all of their arguments are in bad faith and have no real basis in literary criticism and instead are approaching it from a sham culture-war angle, masquerading it as some sort of honest point. Today, classic episodes of shows like Teen Titans or That's So Raven, which addressed important topics such as racism, would likely be unfairly labeled as woke. While the first three episodes of The Boys may not have been groundbreaking, they certainly weren't "woke trash." For example, in some South Park episodes, they make fun of leftists, and these people don’t bat an eye. Family Guy has made fun of some left-leaning things, like when Peter Griffin said, ‘Ethically accurate Jesus, genderless wise people, and “little drummer them,” because god forbid we call a boy a boy.’ Literally, none of the people complaining about The Boys politics have a problem with that episode of Family Guy or any time South Park made fun of left-leaning ideologies. And as for ‘watch something else,’ there is nothing wrong with that statement because it’s true. Not every show will share your political opinion and do everything you want that show to do. If you don’t like a show, then don’t hate-watch it. There are tons of shows out there that you could watch, like House of the Dragon, Shogun, etc.

That's because The Boys is so heavily bashing on the right wing compared to the left wing. South Park and Family Guy has at least some balance in their parodies, they don't spend every episode bashing one side of the political spectrum completely. The show is pretty good but the politics understandably ruin it for many people for very little reason. I was really confused when he started talking about how much worse he thought the writing was in season 4 and how it wasn’t funny or whatever because the way it handles extreme characters or topics is practically the same. If you look at Stormfront and Firecracker, Firecracker is written quite similar. With having such extreme views that you can’t help but laugh at them, and clearly the show has always been against things like facism and discrimination more than anything else by having all the characters who did exhibit those views like Homelander, Stormfront, Soldier Boy etc. characters you’re meant to root against or are antagonists (Butcher is a bit more complicated but I believe you’re definitely meant to think he goes too far a lot of the time). While characters who are definitely against discrimination or facism like Hughie, Annie, Frenchie or Kimiko are ones you’re meant to support or root for. So it really confuses me when people say the show has “changed” when it’s kept a pretty consistent view and theme for all 3.5 seasons so far.

Sure the show makes fun of the left and the bad actors in it, in the beginning. But the entire time the left has been seen as the “correct” side. His Barbie “review” is the one that made me quit on his contents altogether; that is lazy criticism at its finest. There are plenty of movies and TV shows that fell victim to his twisting and lies; he only ever says whatever his target audience demands to hear, and that is pandering. Ain’t it sarcastic? As for my own opinion about this season, yes, the start is the weakest among the seasons, but none of them comes close to “bad;” Ep4 has some insane moments and build-up and according to some spoilers for this season I heard about, the ending is gonna be insane, and I’m excited for it.
