ESCORT?!?! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Way to end the year strong! As you know, market dips mean nothing in the short term, so you're still in great shape. And congrats on $50K business income. That is no small feat. Also, I know it's random, but I saw in another one of your videos that you said you have Crohn's Disease. Twinsies!! So I totally understand how/why getting your health insurance worked out is super important. And if there's ever a reason to go over on your food budget, it's DEF Chipotle. Happy New Year! 🎉

😅 thank you so much!! I'm sorry to hear you have it too 😩 It's not fun to deal with. The health insurance/medication side of it is SO annoying lol Happy New Year!!

Great video, Leila!!! You had a really great year!! You went from being an employee to being your own boss and you did it beautifully!! 🎉🎉 My December was ok. I used savings for the holidays. It wasn’t the bigger number of saving I wanted, but we had a nice holiday and we did most of the things that I wanted to do. It is motivation to start my Christmas sinking fund in January. I also closed some credit cards as part of my debt payoff. So I feel excited to continue that trend in 2025!! Cheers to you, myself and this community for 2025!!!

Hi Leila. Thanks for the great video. You are doing great. Keep going and keep your chin up. You'll get where you want. Also, you are the only person I have ever heard call it an "S-Corp" before you made this change. Normally I hear "S Corporation". Perhaps it's worth sounding it out so that people will hear it clearer? I don't know. I knew what you meant all along. lol We just adopted a 10 month old pit/lab mix named Brandy. She is a sweet baby. All 70 lbs of her! 🙂 Have a great weekend!

Thank you so much!! And yeah I should just say the whole word!! I'll start doing that 😅 And HUGE thank you for adopting!!! ❤️❤️❤️

If I were you I wouldn’t cancel the CSP credit, just call Chase to downgrade it to the chase freedom which the old one not the freedom flex, also you should only apply for the Chase business credit cards first then Amex then Citi then Bank Of America then Wells Fargo which all great options and not reporting to your credit bureaus. Hope that helps by somehow!

I also do that of not shopping until the first of the next month so on my budget it shows that I'm still under budget 🤣

Actually, yes, I heard the "S-Corp" thing as well. I was wondering if someone else was going to point that out. I think we all know what you meant, though.
@PersonalFinancewithLeila17 күн бұрын
I guess I need to start saying S corporation lol

I’m not sure if you already have content discussing the different stocks/funds/bonds etc that you invest in, but if you could do a video discussing that, that would be awesome. Just curious, as we are planning to invest this year and trying to figure out the best way to go about it.
@PersonalFinancewithLeila17 күн бұрын
I can do that! I will say right now that I'm mostly invest in VTSAX (Total Stock Market). The my 401k is 50% VFIAX and 50% VIGAX!

At what point do you think you'll start saving for a new car? Will you pay in full upfront, or do you think you'll finance with a hefty down-payment?
@PersonalFinancewithLeila16 күн бұрын
Good question! My car maintenance fund is also for future car savings. I would like to have $20K+ in there over the next 10 years or so. I'm going to make my car last as long as possible (2015 Toyota Camry). When the time comes, I would love to just buy in full!

Why was your Q1 business gross income so high? They completely skewed your average; is it seasonal? Are you expecting the same trend this Q1? Looks like your net worth decrease is driven by checking and business, but are those invested in the market to cause the underperformance?
@PersonalFinancewithLeila16 күн бұрын
Yup Q1 always does better due to ad revenue and more affiliate sales. My Checking is not invested

Can you count your entire 401(k) toward your net worth since it will be taxed at some point and the overall value is before taxes
@PersonalFinancewithLeila17 күн бұрын
Oh I definitely count my full 401(k) in my net worth, I just only count my employee contributions as contributions since that is what actually counts toward the max!
@robloxvids223316 күн бұрын
Taxes are an income statement (expense) item, not a balance sheet (liability) item. So yes, your total vested 401k amount counts as an asset on your balance sheet.
@stephaniel686715 күн бұрын
Definitely count the entire amount.
