Ahh! You met Murphy Pines! So cool! I am one of those people that can be annoyingly direct and will just straight up approach someone haha. That has never backfired on me (yet!)

@@pointedlogic I love that for you! You know what, this year I’ve been working on channeling my own “be annoying, who cares” energy 😂 Directness is more likely to get us what we want than dancing around the topic!

Thanks for sharing the tales of 11 book and deck, definitely curious about this as it's not often Burma (Myanmar) is included. Inspiring to see your deck study of the Muse Tarot which I had just decided last night to build my connection with and I may have to look for a journal now too! 🤩

@@narayanilguibarra3561 I’ve read a couple of the Burmese tales so far; they’re fascinating! SEA myths & stories feel like home for me 💕 The Muse Tarot is a great deck to study & get really familiar with! Let me know if you buy a journal for it, I’m curious what kind of journal or notebook you might get, or how you’ll do your deck study 👀

So true what you said at 23:21... I find myself getting too caught up with everything on the cards sometimes! Ohh, the I'm Here Oracle seems like an interesting one ✨ I'm also someone who prefers genderless figures or blobs, I think because the neutrality helps keep things distraction-free and opens up more possibilities in readings (or so it seems for me at least) This was fun to watch and a nice little hangout 😊 thanks for sharing 💛

@@magickalmooncat Yes to “distraction-free” and opening up more possibilities in readings! It feels like I can become a “blank canvas” in a way, or perhaps I can step outside of this existence for a bit and look more towards the bigger picture. Thanks for watching 🤗

That Storyteller's Tarot is cool, but it definitely looks like the deck is chunky, and I'm not a fan of chunky decks so I'd probably be passing it up. The others are really fascinating, though, and the Seams Tarot backs are amazing.

@@CrescentDreamsTarot Chunky indeed!! Small hands are probably afraid of it! 😂 It gives it more of a storybook-esque feel, now that you mention it. I’m loving all of these different myth/story-based decks that exist 💕

So glad you showed the Storyteller’s Tarot! I’ve been really intrigued about it, but didn’t know what the minors would look like. I’m still undecided on whether to get it, but at least now I know what to expect if I do! Also I 100% feel you on the “seen but not perceived” thing - I much prefer genderless blobs, inanimate objects, or animals when I want to feel seen in a deck. Otherwise I feel either excluded or confronted with aspects of myself I don’t like (which has its place but I’m not always in the mood for confronting self esteem issues in such a stark way, lol).
@tangytarot5 ай бұрын
@@Frakkyfire “Excluded or confronted with aspects of myself I don’t like” yes! Sometimes I just feel like projecting myself into these blob / inanimate figures and escaping the whole “being a human” thing for a bit 😌 I almost feel like I can pretend to be a “blank canvas” in a way.

Stationery Fest sounds like a fantastic fantastic thing where I would find way too many things to buy. 🤣 I am intrigued by several of these oracle decks + enjoyed hearing you talk about them. I'm in the process of a deck study with Great Lakes Tarot which I'll share later. I'm feeling like deck study is a thing I want to get back to doing more.

@@aquamarine18 Laura… the FOUNTAIN PENS!!! The NOTEBOOKS!!! It was a feast for mine eyes! Studying decks (or, “deck” singular) is a fun experience, though I only have the capacity to focus on one at a time. It’s nice taking my time with it, rather than feeling rushed to do it all in only a month.

I like pretty things and I buy things based on aesthetics mostly. :D The coins in The Storyteller's Tarot is ancient Chinese Coins and Red is an auspicious color in Chinese Culture. I have Arcanis Animal Tarot which is also from the same author. I find big tarot decks a little challenging to bring around. I am from Singapore so it is interesting to see decks based on SEA mythologies. Thanks for sharing the decks.

@@witcheryphoenix I’m really loving these SEA mythologies being represented & shown more to the rest of the world. Thanks for the context about the Chinese coins! Loputyn Oracle - beautiful illustrations. Wondering what you think of it after using it. You sold me on the Tales of 11 deck and book!
@tangytarot4 ай бұрын
Yeah, Storyteller's Tarot can seem a bit all over, since it's not focused on only one region or culture(s) like, say, the Oracle of 11. Side note: apparently the Coins suit in the deck is themed around the Chinese zodiac animals! Pig is 9 of Coins and Dog is 10 of Coins, for example. They omitted the Dragon and the Tiger. The court cards are based on the 4 Guardians of the Chinese constellations. 😮 I'm excited to study/work with Loputyn when I get there! I'm finishing up a deck study now and have like 2 more in the queue 😆 So many projects & ideas! I want to make videos with the Oracle/Tales of 11 too!
