Thanks Josh! Great review! For everyone watching/reading to be clear that the ammo cans ARE NOT weatherproof and we really try to make sure people know this. The drawers, however, ARE weatherproof. We have made some improvements over the past year which has improved the ammo cans weatherproof nature, but still not 110%. We want to be completely transparent on this topic so noone is bummed. We also don't claim the drawers to be waterproof like tupperwear. But anything falling from the sky or car wash will not get into the drawers. But if you back into a lake... your drawers will fill with water. That's just the nature of how the drawers slide into the drawer cavity. Thanks again Josh! 5 stars on your channel!

Great work Josh! I picked up a difference between your vid and Decked's vid - The tie down rails screw into the steel ladder frame of the system, not just the plastic surface. Yes, they're limited, but think more like refrigerator and less like a cooler and beach chairs. The tie downs are rated for 500 pounds. Thanks for the vid!

So bottom line is, if you could carry it on a flat bed pickup..your good to go with this!! Which is most stuff..wood, lumber, pipes, etc..just lay it, and strap it down. Smaller stuff under 5' you can put directly in the drawers. That just my opinion of course. I have been looking for a system like this to carry my guns to and from the range in. I need to find out the "exact" size of the drawers first however. Also I would like to find a supplier of "large cut it yourself foam blocks" that would fit in there snuggly. Or I can leave them cased and in the drawers, if the drawers are big enough. Thanks for the video bro! Nice work!! 😁👍

I liked your review. I've had my Decked system in my Tundra for several years as well, and I don't regret the decision to purchase it one bit. I didn't go with the trax system to this point as I use the track/tie down system along the bed rails that is standard in the Toyota - I use it to keep a water jerry can, and a 2200w Honda Generator from moving around most of the time. I have two of the DBox's, but I purchased the smaller Crossbox, and I actually prefer the smaller box as I can compartmentalize like equipment (one is fly fishing specific) and it is lighter to move around. If I recall correctly at the beginning of the instructions it has you drill holes in the "dimples" at the bottom of the ammo box for drainage - so they were not meant to be waterproof. I have a Leer shell and also use the system as a sleep platform. With the 6.5' bed, I can actually have one of the "lower" cots with a sleeping pad already set up for no hassle camps, and I can store stuff between the cot and the top of the Decked system. The biggest plus to this system is "out of sight, out of mind" - and the black blends in with the spray in bed liner so you don't really "see what you are seeing..."
@andresenriquezjr55584 жыл бұрын
do you still have access to factory tie down points in your truck?
@cobblecrazy4 жыл бұрын
@@andresenriquezjr5558 The Decked system uses the four corner tie downs as its anchoring points, but I still have the sliding "anchor" points in the tracks which run along the sides of the truck bed (or can be moved to the front track). I've used them to anchor a variety of things, and have never had a problem - even over long periods driving over rough/off-road terrain. I guess if I really needed to utilize the corner tie downs the Decked system can be easily removed in about 15-20 minutes then re-installed. Decked has the tie down system that is supposed to screw down into the platform and apparently serves as a pretty good anchoring system, but I have not seen the need to get them yet.

I added small rubber tubing around the ammo boxes with about 1/4" gap to prevent vacuum lock and it'll survive standing water. Cost about $4. Wish it were 1/2 in wider so I could add frontrunner worlfpack storage box inside of them. The toolboxes are nice, however. This is a great idea. If the underside of the deck (ceiling of the drawers) were smooth this wouldn't happen.
