As a Liverpool fan, that red card was crazy. I can’t even enjoy the loss because the ref completely changed the game. The ball was rolling so it wasn’t in play, and it was thrown towards him. It’s not so much about “game’s gone” etc… it’s the consistency that’s missing. When Joao Pedro BOOTED the ball away down the pitch, there was no yellow card. That’s one of a few examples in the first half. Where is the consistency? Where was the rule book then?

Husam is wrong, by "the letter of the law" the ball hadn't stopped rolling, nothing else matters if you're going by "the letter of the law" also the ref wasn't actually reffing to the letter of the law because Pedro should have been booked, the ref gave him some leeway, he didn't give Rice any leeway, despite Howard Webb saying "the bar for a second yellow has to be higher"

To give a second yellow for that is unfortunately setting a bad precedence. You do not give a second yellow for that regardless of the rules. Otherwise every little touch of the ball from the opposition on a free kick will be yellow and then we might as well stop watching football. Saka was worst player for me. Too much flash and not enough finish. Also should have had a yellow or two. But he is a princess and the refs look after him. Stuff Arsenal. Hussam, you blame Declan Rice for the card. But you conveniently ignore 2 major points. 1. The ball was still rolling and no way that free kick was legal. 2. Veltman tried to take the free kick 8 yards away from the spot of foul. Again, by the rule book, free kick cannot be taken from that far away from the spot. So by the rules, Veltman should have got the red for kicking Rice. But Rice incorrectly got the card and got incorrectly sent off. Apart from this, Ødegaard got kicked on the knee and no card given, Saka got elbowed on the face and no card give. By the end of the match, inspite of Brighton playing rough, Arsenal got 6 cards, n Brighton got just 1. There cannot be a clearer proof of the refs bias. Kavanaugh made it all about himself, and thats what cost Arsenal the game!
