Your kitchen is fine.... Grant has upgraded alot and its been painted... if theres something else that is bugging you thats a small project,,get that done....(my 2 cents)... take your children on walkabouts... see other states/countries....have adventures with them..... be with THEM........... the kitchen/house/yard..... can wait....

My husband is from France and he came to the USA for a final project for his masters degree. He came to the USA with his suitcase and book bag. He jokes that not only did he multiply himself (we have children) but he also multiplied his stuff. When I first started to declutter our stuff he was against it. 6 years later I’ll find him decluttering his own clothes and tools.

I am glad you are plant based. My husband and I converted after becoming sort of sick. All of the conditions were naturally reversed within a year without medical intervention. You started so young, you can avoid getting sick altogether! You are so ahead of the game. So good you are teaching your children that it’s possible, without being draconian. For the environment and for health, it’s a win-win❤

In the next couple of years, your children will be the BEST age to travel with. TAKE THEM TO AUS & NZ. It will inspire them for the rest of their lives. The kitchen, as is, is fine. It'll wait, your children won't. That's my 5 cents worth.

90 Day Fiancée - Grant’s Edition 😂 Not you selling your brother to the highest bidder. 😅 Thank you for sharing some of yourselves with us. I’m plant based too. It was so much easier to do in California. I’m trying to make my way back home. Oh, Grant - your videos are good. It’s YT’s trash algorithm. I never see your videos. They’re hiding you. I can’t find you and other people that I follow when I look for them. They put a bunch of stuff I don’t care about and don’t follow in my feed then I’ll see some creator’s content in my feed 5+ days later (or never). Or worse, YT will unsubscribe me from them. A lot of people are complaining about this. Other apps are doing it too.😞

You do you! I do not mean to influence anyone on this, but will leave you my thoughts about the Project vs Travels question: If you can, visit the family soon. The older they get, the less is possible. I would rather push the kitchen in the future and see family as long as they are still fit.

Fun video,enjoyed it. I never knew you were plant based. I also went plant based “cold turkey” after a documentary about 3 1/2 years ago and have not regretted it. No one else in my house followed suit, which makes it more challenging bc I still have to cook things that I would rather not. But you guys are so right about others making it a bigger deal than needed and about finding food when traveling etc. When we go camping, I always have to prepare a few things ahead for myself that I can take with me. It’s always nice and encouraging to run across other people who eat the way I do because there isn’t anyone in my “real life” circle. Does Grant keep you laughing all the time? lol. I didn’t know he had a channel. Will have to check it out!

My 2nd cousin from NZ married a guy in California and feel ya on the stress of imigration. Sooooooo expensive living between countries and even now traveling for family visits and almost 2 little ones (one on the way) Plus one time she put something on her papers that ended her getting interigated! Great video! Grant’s sense of humor is sooo dry and hilarious! Thank you for addressing my question. I have two videos up so far and I’m working on the third. I’m not plant based but I see the benefits. I definitely eat more veggies in general, but I do eat fish, chicken and pork, not beef so much. We can’t eat vegan due to tree nut allergies, which is often put into vegan dishes. However, we do eat fresh. I agree that it’s a touchy subject, but no one should care.on the kitchen remodel, I recommend putting a door in the kitchen to the garage so you won’t have to go outside to do laundry.

Aaahhh, the meeting at the bar/pub story. Just like an Aussie love story 😂 I met my French husband in a London bar. 😉 plant based 😦 I hope that means just eating plants and not the processed plant based packets. In Australia 🤮 not good. So true about the expensive commodities. It’s still the same here. My father (born 1940) was in the Air Force and worked as a cleaner in the 70s to buy the family Holden Kingswood. And Dad loved and cared for it for 13 years before trading it for a higher price than he paid.

When you were talking about traveling to see family versus updating the kitchen. The memories to see your family are so so important but I had a thought that your youngest son Levi, you would want him to be old enough to remember those memories so about age 5?
@shannontorrens1
@shannontorrens1 2 ай бұрын
Yes! I was thinking the same thing. Any trip that we took with the kids under the age of 5, they can't really remember. Also, I forgot to mention in the video we have had our family members visit us here and that is so much easier. =) So we are still seeing everyone every few years.

Loved this! Just a suggestion, coming from someone that was sick with cancer for a year at the age of 39. Maybe you could save for the trip and the kitchen at the same time. You never know when something will happen in life, and you will always be glad you took the trip. But I understand that 99% of the remaining year of that trip would be spent enjoying the new kitchen 😊 Just think of it as a balance and not a one or the other decision ❤

But monotonous commutes suck too. You guys are a great looking couple. I love Grant’s voice/accent and so I think it’s a bonus for doing things like videos. Easy on the ears. Ha ha. There are some good folks out there with good info but I can’t watch them a lot Bcuz their voices are just too “grating” for my ears. But then again…I’m just weird like that. Lol. 😅😅 Oh my…a brother. The capsules have nutritional properties giving us much more than vitamins simply bc we get ALL the benefits from each food inside the capsule. Much research has been done on these products. That said…we still eat meat! 🥩 🫣🫣 as for McDonalds… we have a good friend who has a sample kids meal hamburger and fries that are 12 YEARS OLD!! They both look like they were sitting out on the counter for two days not 12 years in a bag!! Yuck what does that look win our systems when people eat that stuff!! 😮

That’s a dry sense of humour like my Aussie father had. Your plant based diet would be interesting to know what you replace meat & dairy with. Anything with onions, garlic or curry usually tastes good if it’s fresh & seasonal. Had lots of Kiwi flatmates in Australia & still in contact with some years later.

Grant, you are so funny! I love your humor. Shannon, I didn't realize you had such a difficult delivery of Levi. I will watch that video. I enjoyed this video with you both. Thank you for sharing.

Plantiful Kiki has inspired more plant meals on our menu. We are still carnivorous! 🥴 Just made my first batch of vegan cheese and we liked it, so onward and forward! God bless you and yours. BTW, what is the name of Grant's channel? Thanks.

Thanks for the nice talk and sharing about everyday life. That you are plant-based is so great and to be honest one reason I like to watch your videos. I find it very sad that there are people getting upset about that. I have been vegan for 16 years and it has been one of the best decision I ever made, for the animals (!), for the planet (!) and then for my own health and life. As you said it is not always easy eating out etc. BUT: it is so worth it plus it ties in well with a minimal-ish lifestyle where you decide what is important to you, being able to living according to your values and eliminating things and stuff and habits that you are better off without. I really enjoy watching your videos, warm wishes from Vienna, Austria.
