My husband is from France and he came to the USA for a final project for his masters degree. He came to the USA with his suitcase and book bag. He jokes that not only did he multiply himself (we have children) but he also multiplied his stuff. When I first started to declutter our stuff he was against it. 6 years later I’ll find him decluttering his own clothes and tools.

I am glad you are plant based. My husband and I converted after becoming sort of sick. All of the conditions were naturally reversed within a year without medical intervention. You started so young, you can avoid getting sick altogether! You are so ahead of the game. So good you are teaching your children that it’s possible, without being draconian. For the environment and for health, it’s a win-win❤

Great video! Grant’s sense of humor is sooo dry and hilarious! Thank you for addressing my question. I have two videos up so far and I’m working on the third. I’m not plant based but I see the benefits. I definitely eat more veggies in general, but I do eat fish, chicken and pork, not beef so much. We can’t eat vegan due to tree nut allergies, which is often put into vegan dishes. However, we do eat fresh. I agree that it’s a touchy subject, but no one should care.on the kitchen remodel, I recommend putting a door in the kitchen to the garage so you won’t have to go outside to do laundry.

Fun video, enjoyed it. I never knew you were plant based. I also went plant based “cold turkey” after a documentary about 3 1/2 years ago and have not regretted it. No one else in my house followed suit, which makes it more challenging bc I still have to cook things that I would rather not. But you guys are so right about others making it a bigger deal than needed and about finding food when traveling etc. When we go camping, I always have to prepare a few things ahead for myself that I can take with me. It’s always nice and encouraging to run across other people who eat the way I do because there isn’t anyone in my “real life” circle. Does Grant keep you laughing all the time? lol. I didn’t know he had a channel. Will have to check it out!

Loved this! Just a suggestion, coming from someone that was sick with cancer for a year at the age of 39. Maybe you could save for the trip and the kitchen at the same time. You never know when something will happen in life, and you will always be glad you took the trip. But I understand that 99% of the remaining year of that trip would be spent enjoying the new kitchen 😊 Just think of it as a balance and not a one or the other decision ❤

My 2nd cousin from NZ married a guy in California and feel ya on the stress of imigration. Sooooooo expensive living between countries and even now traveling for family visits and almost 2 little ones (one on the way) Plus one time she put something on her papers that ended her getting interigated! Just a misunderstanding but VERY stressful for all involved. You gotta do it for 'LOVE' man!!!!

Would love to see meal prepping and how you stay healthy on a plant based diet. And how you keep your child healthy. I struggle with it. I Was raised strict vegan as a child and growing up. It cause a lot of vitamin deficiency and iron deficiency. I’ve had to have blood transfusions because of years of plant based. So would love some help advice. Hate having hospital visits, blood transfusion and vitamin B shots. Any idea and advice would be helpful and appreciated.

When you were talking about traveling to see family versus updating the kitchen. The memories to see your family are so so important but I had a thought that your youngest son Levi, you would want him to be old enough to remember those memories so about age 5?

Thanks for the nice talk and sharing about everyday life. That you are plant-based is so great and to be honest one reason I like to watch your videos. I find it very sad that there are people getting upset about that. I have been vegan for 16 years and it has been one of the best decision I ever made, for the animals (!), for the planet (!) and then for my own health and life. As you said it is not always easy eating out etc. BUT: it is so worth it plus it ties in well with a minimal-ish lifestyle where you decide what is important to you, being able to living according to your values and eliminating things and stuff and habits that you are better off without. I really enjoy watching your videos, warm wishes from Vienna, Austria.

Aaahhh, the meeting at the bar/pub story. Just like an Aussie love story 😂 I met my French husband in a London bar. 😉 plant based 😦 I hope that means just eating plants and not the processed plant based packets. In Australia 🤮 not good. So true about the expensive commodities. It’s still the same here. My father (born 1940) was in the Air Force and worked as a cleaner in the 70s to buy the family Holden Kingswood. And Dad loved and cared for it for 13 years before trading it for a higher price than he paid.

That’s a dry sense of humour like my Aussie father had. Your plant based diet would be interesting to know what you replace meat & dairy with. Anything with onions, garlic or curry usually tastes good if it’s fresh & seasonal. Had lots of Kiwi flatmates in Australia & still in contact with some years later.
