I can’t believe you got the real Faust to appear in this episode

Faust reaching his new state of overexertion instead of "dying a hero" is such a good way for Faust to sacrifice something, and still be able to grow past that. Faust wanted to repent, not only over the guilt of losing the patient that made him Dr. Baldhead, but also all of those people he killed when he was a serial killer. This completely recontextualizes his journey as Faust: he was helping people via a misplaced sense of altruism due to his own guilt, rather than the innate desire to simply help people. In saving Delilah (and sacrificing his sanity) Faust was able to go back to "Sqaure One" a man with no ulterior motive, just a doctor who wanted to save a little girl.

Psychological rebirth.

This gives me of an idea of where Faust went back psychologically (as you mentioned) because of the square one moment but because everything also always moves forward resulting in him coming back to his state of insanity in the serial killer dr bald head personality reappearing but his sheer willpower or something else kept him out of returning to the cycle making him what he is now

Another interesting thing about the the song, is that we really do have one sky, that is blue (day), red (dusk) and black (night), maybe that could have something do to with Faust as a character? as he begins as a good doctor (day), goes crazy and becomes bald head (dusk) and finally repents (night). Anyway, loved your video

I always thought of the ABCDEF- Go! as a reference to the ABCDE cognitive coaching model. A= Activating event. B = Belief system. C = Emotional Consequences of A and B. D = Disputing irrational thoughts and beliefs. E = Cognitive and Emotional effects of “updated” beliefs. Seeing as Faust is a doctor who went insane due to grief and the ABCDE method is typically used for handling grief, I thought it would fit.

That makes perfect sense!

On the same vein, I always thought the "ABCDEF GO" bit was a reference to the protocol for politraumatized patients, as in, handling people with physical traumatisms in several body parts. The ABCDE protocol being assesment and management of: -Airway -Breathing -Circulation -Disability -Exposure It had a lot of sense to me, since Faust would obviously apply that kind of help to any injured person, especially in a fighting game, when everyone always gets beaten into a pulp! Adding to this, considering the dark tone of the song, maybe the implication is that Faust will be the one who will apply the ABCDE to someone after he kicks their ass first! Hahaha

Faust is honestly my favorite character (and the one that got me into Guilty Gear), mainly because of his design, personality, and, most importantly, his theme. Despite not knowing any of the lyrics, upon my first listen to this song, I knew it was filled to the brim with something deep and beautiful. I’ve been binging your videos recently. I love how you can break down a song so deeply with so much enthusiasm that you turn a song with “ABCDEF-GO” as a lyric into an emotional journey to listen to. Maybe it’s my listening habits of songs that have, upon first (second, third, fourth, and so on) glance, make no sense, or a surface level meaning that is easy to understand but clearly has some beautiful, complex meaning under the surface while still being an amazing piece of music (e.g., Will Wood, Miracle Musical, Guilty Gear Music), but I have always wondered what any of these songs meant and have searched far and wide across the internet for music breakdowns that were more than some guy sitting and screaming, “This is so cool,” and I found you. You are the most underrated channel I have ever seen with so much passion, thought, and fun moments when you just stop the analysis and vibe and sing along with some of the music. All of this has gotten me into new songs that I previously thought were just noise, like “Mirror of the World” and “Necessary Discrepancy” (a bit ironic for somebody who plays “Alone Infection” on loop). I hope you can keep making all of these passionate videos and meet equally passionate fans. Small Note: The length and disjointedness of this comment are due to it being 1 am and just a plain awesome video and even more channel that really can’t be put into words.

We got only one sky means they are all equal and within the same being. Faus is disllisional for he knows there will be no saving him, (messaiah will not come) yet he fights on as there is nothing left for him. Yes there is a dim light of hope but the guilt he has on his shoulders is so big that he is left with a question of what is life ? And the way the question is asked is almost like he hopes to learn an answer from us. Knowing that ONLY HE can see the colors and meaning behond sanity and life. That's my humble take.

I've really gotten into this song lately, and what I love about the lyrics is just how many different ways they can be interpreted in that still seamlessly fit Faust's character, especially since I study philosophy myself. I also quite like how my first impression (Knowing nothing about Guilty Gear) was "These lyrics don't make sense", but upon taking a closer look and reading up on the lore, there's so much meaning that can be found and inferred - And even that very progression of gradual understanding provides parallels to Faust's character, while further helping the song resonate with the listener's subjective perspectives and experiences.

I always interpreted the line of ABCDEF GO as Faust referring to his past goofy self and trying to stick to what he was and repress what he has become or something like that I’m not too good at explaining things

Some things stay between me and Faust, but Faust appreciated the compliment. He says “much appreciated, and you’ll be my next check up.” Faust is also taking his meds again so it won’t end in bloody malpractice.
