arnie grape just put a lot of coyotes in front of your dog is the best training. My dog has learned a lot since this video was made :).

Dog Hog Outdoors No problem buddy. I hate those idiots who cry and freak out, They have no idea what that coyote would of done to your dog given a chance. I used to be like that too though throwing fits at hunting then I grew up and actually understand it is vital. Coyotes are beautiful but they are also insanely nutty. Was out walking my dog where my mom lives up in the city heard coyotes yapping turned on my light and got 8 sets of eyes peering at me from the brush. Their not even scared of people around here.

I live about 30 mins southeast of dallas in scurry texas and coyotes are pretty bad in these parts and I hold zero remorse about shooting one....The way I look at it is its either the coyote or my dog...Same reason I carry my 40 with me everytime I am outside no matter what....If I go into the pasture Its time for the 30/30 and the 40....People just dont get it.

G Pete You are clueless. Coyotes have decimated all the rabbits, squirrels, raccoons and just about everything on my property. I cannot let me dog out at night unless I turn on the outside floodlights and have him on a leash. Coyotes are predatory animals and destroy all living things in their territory.

GuttaSnipe, the idea of using a dog is to bring the coyotes into close shooting range. Coyotes hate dogs and will try and run them out of there territory. I still have to call the coyote into me but then have the dog go out and toll it back to me for a close shot.

Saw a video where it was stalking a woman in a park once and this guy had to scare it off because it kept coming back. Merry the last thing I want is my dogs hurt. I see you have Weimaraner's they are bred for hunting not lap dogs. My dogs love hunting, when I tell them to load up and that we are going hunting they go nuts. So don't ever say I abuse my dogs you have no clue ! People today seem to have forgot what having a dog is about. If you want a lap dog more power to you. I want a dog that hunts and that has a purpose. Good day.

Coyote are very small...and no much of a threat to his dog. In a pack? Yes, but not alone. Please educate yourself before telling someone that they are abusing their dog.
