You can say "sieve" as in, I sieved the flour. At least that's how we say it here in the UK. We call that a sieve so when you put flour or something through it, you "sieve it". Love the recipe, thanks from Oxford, England

We do say seive in the UK as well as sift but sift is specifically for separation of dry ingredients by size not wet and dry. C

Hello 👋🏾. Deddy n Sasha. Those Festival’s looks 👀 delicious. I haven’t had festival’s or dumpling’s🥟 before but my nephew wife is Jamaican she showed me how to make Curry Goat 🐐 n Curry Chicken 🐔 but not Festival’s nor Dumpling’s 🥟 So I need to go back to see her so I can learn how to make Festival’s n Dumpling’s 🥟. That looks like "hot water cornbread" my grandma used to cook for us when we visited her. I think hers may have had fewer ingredients. They look tasty 😋 Does anyone know about the Hot Water Bread & the original recipe?

Yes, that's what it seems like to me too. I don't know all ingredients, but I know it's flour, cornmeal, sugar and mix with hot water.

yes TJ, festival has the same ingredients as hot water cornbread (bread) . major difference: instead of ice cold water used here, we use boiling hot water. 1

OMG, although I watch ...as usual, I have to say I'm not a festival person. Boil dumplin, fry dumplin ... Just leave out the sugar!!😍🇯🇲❤️❤️❤️

So after touching the jug,, all the other container and getting all the ingredients out of the cupboards he never washed his hands before dipping them in the mixing bowl to mix it together? Naanh!!!! Not for me. Before making dumplings or festivals, hands should be washed, then after placing all the ingredients in the mixing bowl hands should be washed and hold them as if you're about to perform an operation and touch nothing until all the mixing is completed and dumplings or festivals made and ready placed in the fryer or frying pan. That's how it's done.
