Magnificent! God bless those good, Christian Southern children... this old Yankee cried! I see there are actually 10 dislikes... how very sad that some (liberal perhaps?) gave a fellow American's culture a negative reply; SO SAD! And the why of it is obvious. - I am a Yankee, and damned proud of it. However, I have always thought that the South had the legal right to secede from the Union, the written agreements to join the Union weren't eternally legally binding! I feel it is also obvious that we, the people of the North, owe the people of the Confederate South an apology and a few trillion dollars for war crimes!
@nisse183 жыл бұрын
It's fine to be proud of being a Dixie or Yankee, but you should above all be proud to be white and support your brothers in America and across the world in these dark times ahead 🙏

It's not so much whether the South had a legal right to secede or not. Keep in mind that the only people who voted on secession were the delegates of those states, we're talking about only a few to several dozen men per state. The average Southerner had absolutely no say in the matter, those delegates chose to secede, resigned from their federal positions and just took their entire states along with them. Yes the Union did not recognize Confederate independence, but neither did England, France, or anybody else. Regardless, it led to war. The men who fought and died on both sides must be remembered and honored.

civilwarhalftruths I have been playing the violin since I was in sixth grade and I am thirty seven now. The hardest song I have ever had to play was this one at my friend's funeral in 1998. I had a broken arm, leg, and plus my friend was being laid to rest. We were in Texas on a feral pig hunt and a pig charged him and got him. I tried to get the pig off and I got injured in the process. We go back same spot every year. Those kids do a amazing job!!! I hope that they keep it up after all this time. Thank you for the video.

Let no one forget the war was terrible for both sides; war made all the worse because it was fought between fellow Americans. I'm so grateful for parents who teach their children American pride, to be proud of their common heritage. I fear the future of our nation is being erased in schools today; we are forgetting who we are as a people. I strongly support and thank you for participating in these reenactments as a way to keep our nations history alive. God bless the USA -North, South, and West!

The South was always so much more civilized and graceful. My biggest beef was the slavery issue. Seems the revisionist history freakazoids have forgotten that over 90% of the slave trade ships were owned by companies in Boston. And believe me, they turned a handsome profit. Those profits were instrumental in financing the union army. How ironic. Slavery helped finance yankee aggression. And without states rights (the 10th amendment) the north could hold a monopoly on slave trade.
