@@HollowGolem The first time I played TP, I got stuck in the water temple for DAYS. Not that it was particularly hard or anything. In fact, I had actually solved the entire thing. But there was one last door I needed to get into that I couldn't find. I spent hours upon hours searching through the temple, room by room for hidden paths or doors that I missed. I knew where the last door was since it was on the map, but I did not know how to get to it. I only eventually found it accidentally. In the main area there are hanging pull switches that you have to jump and hang on to activate. The existence of these things was not obvious and eluded me the entire time until I just happened to accidentally stop near one and the prompt came up to activate the switch, thus revealing the door. It was one of those moments where even after solving it, you feel defeated since you know that you would have never thought of that solution on your own had it not been given to you. I'm in total awe of that you are doing with these Zelda playthrough. In a way I've not seen anyone else do nearly as well, you've basically taken my favorite game series and turned it into a TV show that I can watch. The editing is brilliant, editing out just enough to get the full context of the story without showing to much wandering around. The fact that you've not played these games brings a level of hype to your reaction that no let's player who's already played the game once can ever bring. And the fact that you read out all of the dialogue in character, while also giving Link a voice in the conversion just brings it all together. You are the character of Link in this story and the little voice in his head who also happens to knows he's a character in a video game. I know there is a distinct possibility you won't play thru every Zelda out there, some of them are just OK, but if you at least get thru, Skyward Sword, Wind Waker, and Link to the Past I'll be eternally grateful. To give a small explanation to the darkest scene in Twilight Princess(Minor Spoilers). The Goddesses made the Sacred Realm and allowed the different species to flourish in Hyrule. However, as time went on people began to fight over control of the Triforce and the Sacred Realm. Interlopers skilled in magic created the Fused Shadow in order to establish dominance over the Sacred Realm(its beleaved that the Gerudo were among the interlopers. Which would explain their absence in the game). However, they were defeated and banished to the twilight realm. The descendants of these Interlopers became known as the Twili. The very same species that Midna is. I hope Dee and others find this explanation helpful.

Yes, I was looking forward to your reaction to the giant bug, the nightmare scenes, as well as Talma. The interaction with the animals is one of the many reasons I love this game. Epona, is sadly not a reason I love this game. I love it in spite of her. She moves to fast, is hard to get moving again if she stops, and is a pain to control overall. The escort mission is the best example of her failings. I am pretty sure it is what made my brother give up on the game back when it came out. And in part the mission is just insane, and confusing. So not all the blame can be put on Epona. But I think it would be a little more fun if Epona was easier to control, and didn't charge around like a drunk Flash.

2:54 On the topic of "nostalgic Zelda games," I see people quarreling about whether BotW breaks too many Zelda conventions to the extent that it doesn't feel like a Zelda game anymore. I find this argument quite ridiculous, as all 3D Zeldas are very unique to one another (I'd say that's true for 2D Zeldas as well). For me, BotW is just this generation's Ocarina of Time, but that fact does not undermine OoT by any means, as it is still a very good game even by today's standard, albeit the controls can be arguably dated. For many others, their "OoT" might be the Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, A Link to the Past or the original Zelda. It's good to have people feeling nostalgic for different Zelda games, because that just shows how much creativity and sustainability this series has over such a long period of time. There aren't a lot of franchises out there that can have different "nostalgic" games.
@Kvothe19883 жыл бұрын
Man I just wanted to reply because you put alot of effort into your comment so it's worth a response. But I wholeheartedly agree. Whilst my oot is oot, TP is my favourite but botw is a work of art, and my best mate who also loves Zelda just can't get into it and I hate that. He just thinks it's not Zelda, and whilst I agree about his points I still think it's Zelda, just different, it's the new oot, and that shows by the fact that 4 years later games are incorporating elements from it like oot. It's a game of the generation for sure! I'm very drunk

I remember my mother being so freaked out by the giant twilight insect 😂 she went outside the house and i had to go out and tell her that I defeated it so she could come back inside. but she was somehow fine with the freaky cutscene that came after saving Lanayru LOL

Can I say I'm with your mom on that. I am fine with the cutscene... but not fine with the bug boss.

Watching the constant switching between the bow and boomerang was painful, especially since both other equipped items were useless.

Love the game and Twillight Princess, but such a shame they made the twillight bug collection at 36.37 way to easy in HD Version, well all of the twillight bugs to be honest, I wish they left it as it was in the Wii Version, that Version was much more difficult and had to do the 36.37 even twice to get all bugs, sadly in HD version it was way to easy. Still fantastic game and love the dark more realistic style (as shown in the Gamecube Tech Demo back then). Hope they do more games in this style in the future. All Zelda Games are Great in their own ways though, some better then others and also a very personal opinion. Some hate TP, other hate MM, more hate Zelda II but all in the eye of the beholder per person.

I love how it feels like the enemies are trying harder and harder to kill you as you progress further. Mainly the Bulblins. Like setting traps and making use of previously established things you have no reason to believe monsters can use, like the Hawk Grass.

Yes my favorite game. I've been loving your channel so far and have been binge watching your stuff, I'm new here. Side note if you like this game you should check out the Manga adaptation

Has Deebee yet noticed that the song for talking to the other wolf is the Song of Healing from Majora's Mask? Most of the wolf howls are iconic songs from previous games... and of course the other wolf has another Majora's Mask connection.

dee bee geek I don't know if you remember but the monster you fought on the bridge is actually the same monster you defeated to save Colin in kakarico village and the one who kidnapped all the children and Ilia at the beginning of the game and that the second fight against him.

1:00:20 We should tell that guy there's a way to stop that platform from moving: using the Gale Boomerang on a switch above the Cucco shack's roof. 1:10:35 Wait, it makes no sense for that doctor to be there when he should be at Telma's Bar.

Midna really likes collecting 'pets' (i.e. Wolf Link and now giant twilight bird) XD... I may have stolen that line from the manga XD -And in this episode Midna finally let's it slip that she's not the cold, uncaring imp she portrays herself as (though apparently she also slips up during the Colin rescue mission if you talk to her) -Dee Bee in reaction to Rutela: "whoa, she's amazing looking " Me: Yep, this is how we got to Mipha and Sidon -I didn't know you could play fetch with the puppies! *excited squeal* ... and I KNEW the puppies and kitties could sway Dee Bee into bumping this game to the #1 spot! *snuggles with said puppies and kitties* good job guys X3
