I appreciate that you’re trying to take a kind and charitable view of this vehicle’s owner, but this is not how you store syringes if you want to keep them clean. They should be stored in a pouch or tupperware or at least a Ziplock bag. Alexandria Marie her son is type 1 diabetic. Let me take the time to explain that type 1 can eat whatever they want, they dose accordingly to what they eat. I’m type 1 myself. What is concerning to me is that insulin was left in the car, lantis to be specific really shouldn’t be left in heat or cold. It’s typically a medication taken in the morning or evening (or both for a split dose) that acts as “background insulin” since your body is always metabolizing protein or your liver send out stored glucose for energy. Momma needs to keep that car clean too, used needles should be disposed of properly.

The kid is a Type 1 diabetic. It’s an auto immune disease. It’s not something you get from poor diet. You have to keep food like that with you all the time due to low blood sugars. Without treating a low blood sugar with sugary food the kid could go into a coma, experience brain damage, or possibly die from it.
