She needs like a little kit box or bag that she puts everything in and leaves in centre console. If no sharps container in the car then just use an old opaque plastic container like a napisan tub. It’s tall enough for the needles but hides them. Very irresponsible having them all over the car. Needle stick waiting to happen.

This coming from someone whose sister is nearly 50 years old and been Type 1 diabetic since 7 years, there's no reason whatsoever to leave used needles lying around. Ever. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw one of my sister's used needles. They should be used and hard boxed away from all other humans. Not tossed in the console to deal with later.

Ashley Robbins It’s the orange cap over the plunger, not the needle, that indicates they’re unused. I appreciate that you’re trying to take a kind and charitable view of this vehicle’s owner, but this is not how you store syringes if you want to keep them clean. They should be stored in a pouch or tupperware or at least a Ziplock bag. The owner of this truck is a slob, a smoker, has no idea how to organize or keep things clean, and will need another detail in 2-3 months (if not weeks).

Alexandria Marie her son is type 1 diabetic. Let me take the time to explain that type 1 can eat whatever they want, they dose accordingly to what they eat. I’m type 1 myself. What is concerning to me is that insulin was left in the car, lantis to be specific really shouldn’t be left in heat or cold. It’s typically a medication taken in the morning or evening (or both for a split dose) that acts as “background insulin” since your body is always metabolizing protein or your liver send out stored glucose for energy. Momma needs to keep that car clean too, used needles should be disposed of properly.

The kid is a Type 1 diabetic. It’s an auto immune disease. It’s not something you get from poor diet. You have to keep food like that with you all the time due to low blood sugars. Without treating a low blood sugar with sugary food the kid could go into a coma, experience brain damage, or possibly die from it.
