Just saying as a former Canadian military guy who's worked with all sorts of explosives such as C4, DM12, PETN, RDX, sheet explosives, hayricks, beehives, det cord, improvised devices, you name it. My favourite was always the cigar tube. Nevermind Australian switches. But this pager thing is on a whole other level. It's been done in the past. Not that hard to stuff a pager with explosives. Or activate a backdoor to the ROM chip and send it a signal/text message. The crazy part is two things. Number one the coordination. That's a lot of pagers to explode. And number two the operational aspect. Those pagers actually have to work like a long time despite being packed with explosives. WTF? Those are the questions!

The panelists all are quick to say the US would never do what Israel did because of risk, etc. but isn’t that extremely shortsighted and dismissive? If we are so unwilling to think outside the box or play the long game on things, doesn’t that leave us with the same old/few options? Israel has tolerated WAY more than we ever would. Not a chance people in NJ would just shrug their shoulders if PA launched 8,000 rockets at their communities in a year and forced families from their homes and kids to be out of school for two years.

this cognitive dissonance in Americans between how America is when its at peace and when its at war time is always funny. the us had terrorist from around the world grabbed, bagged and shipped to a secret military prison camp at Guantanamo bay during the war on terror period, most likely breaking dozen international laws. If America gets attacked you can bet your ass all this "we don't take risk shit" goes out the window real quick lol

Well atrocities, war crimes and genocide are certainly outside the box. So is your lack of human empathy and understanding of International Humanitarian Law which binds Israel. For years they were claiming that the Entebbe Raid was done completely on their own and then years later it was revealed that they would not have been able to do it without American satellite intel. They claimed that they found and took out Yahya Ayyash on their own in 1996 but two decades later we learn that they couldn't find him and that they need the help of the ISA to track him down. Israel wouldn't last one day without American support and American tax dollars.

Many people not directly involved in affecting the Middle East were "lost" that day. Here, it seems apparent that only those closely involved in the "situation" were impacted. Get the he*l outta here. 9/11 targeted civilians for maximum destruction and terror. The pagers were literally bought, owned and worn by the the militant members of the terrorist group, with the incendiary payload being minimum for localized damage only. It's unfortunate that some civilians were caught up in it, but it's not much different than an accidental civilian causality when a military vehicle is targeted by missile. 9/11 = blatant attack on civilians to cause terror. Pagers = directed attack on militant operatives to stop their ability to wage war. Two totally different things!
