30 years man I’ve been obsessed with this game and this video helped me tremendously not with just ball but I was your traditional dreamer growing up but I hit a ceiling very young based on the dumbest thing and that’s fear of failure. 30 years old now I don’t wish to go back but for absolutely no reason at all other than for my love for the game that’s almost a curse lol I’m playing some of the best ball I’ve ever played and actually enjoying it a-lot more. So thank you

I've had this idea in my head my entire adult life, summed up in this quote: "I haven't NOT made it through anything yet". It has served me well.

This matches perfectly with the Moment that i' m living... I' m living this Life made of moments where I' m confident, charismatic and other moments where I' m more robotic... I think that I know the nature of this situation, and I think about It daily, and I know that' s something that' I can deal with and the problem will be resolved... I would be grateful if someone Will share a simulare experience

i started basketball fairly late,am 19 now and my first game ever is going to be next week ,and i fear that i could make mistakes, but what i learned from the deep game is that making mistakes is inevitable , you can’t be perfect,you are a human being but you can get better and learn and that is going to be my goal to get better every single day and actually play “the long game “

My team and I recently moved up from Division 2 to Division 1. I struggle to shoot from deep, but I am one of the best shooters in my league .during practice It feels smooth and the morning practice, but when I step up to a game, I can't hit my shots. I don't feel comfortable or uncomfortable; I'm just not sure what to do. I know I need to work on my game i do that 5 times in the normal days of the week and in the weekend 4 times, but is there anything else I can do? Please let me know!'

I've been there before my guy and i overcame it‚ i was the guy that shoots the lights out in pickups and practice and brick most of 'em in the real games😂‚ first step is understand that it's totally okay to experience such thing‚ don't have a feeling of guilt nor shame abt it‚ have a sense of compassion instead‚ second step is for me i just had to realize that it's still basketball at the end‚ whether it's practice‚ pickups‚ official games... It's still the game that you love so much‚ so why so serious? Do it with the same passion everytime everywhere‚ it's the joy that comes out of shooting that matters not the makes or the misses‚ so shoot for that joy‚ always! Practice‚ real games... Doesn't matter‚ the joy is always the foundation

5 times during the week and 4 times during the weekend while you're in season? How intense are these workouts? Your nervous system could be pretty beat the second half of the day when you're playing. Simon DeepGame

Here's my experience with these "unconscious fear"... Last week we had a tournament. Our team was in the finals, and I was very hesitant to shoot (and because of that, missed almost everything). We ended up losing. The last time we had faced this opponent, we forced way too many bad 3s, and lost. I just didn't want that happening again. Weird thing is, I wasn't feeling scared before the game... And everything else I did fine (layups, passing, dribbling etc. only shooting was the problem).

Thank you for sharing. Overcompensating with thought ("We need to shoot more") can definitely be a symptom of the same fear. Simon DeepGame

I don’t play basketball but this is something that I’ve been thinking about for awhile. Last year I got hurt super bad and it just a not physical great time in my life. And now that the season is back again I’m honestly scared that it’ll happen again even though I know this is like a one in a million thing to happen. So how do I over come that fear yeah I know what could happen cause been through it before but it was a really bad experience so how do I push through that?

the only problem for me is i feel that i cant get rock bottom like u said in the example on my aau team if i play bad i will be moved down, and i feel every game i have that fear of getting moved down before every game, i just try and fail forward
@DeepGameBasketball
@DeepGameBasketball Жыл бұрын
Approaching fear is done the same way regardless of whether it's a true rock bottom or not (and who's to say it is or isn't/if rock bottom is even really that bad?). The fear in your case is being played less (or on a lower level team) if you don't play well. You approach that fear as you'd approach any of them; by not backing down regardless of the fear i.e. having courage to do what you do anyways, whether you end up failing or you don't. Simon DeepGame

are u scared of what people think or say if u make a mistake?
@fakgllll
@fakgllll Жыл бұрын
if so, you have to realize mistakes are normal and people will either give good criticism or just negative, useless one. you have to ignore the negative useless one and know what ur capable of and realize what people think or say changes so much that u shouldn’t even care

in a video where you discussed on how no Nba player has ever mastered all the laws of the deep game, do you think kyrie has now?
@DeepGameBasketball
@DeepGameBasketball Жыл бұрын
Probably not. Kyrie has possibly mastered one or two of the individual laws, but mastering all the laws is an extreme feat that Kobe probably didn't even do (although he was likely the closest). Simon DeepGame

the problem is that, this doesn't work, you have to hit rock bottom to release the fear but if there are ways of releasing the fear without hitting rock bottom that would be wonderful

If this particular technique isn't working for you, I would suggest trying the 3-level relaxation technique we speak about in this talk: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpOsiImFnLmrnsU

@@DeepGameBasketball Hey coach, I have an opinion about the law of identity, Here it goes, "Anyone who does this deepgame work, or never gives up on their dreams has already mastered the law of identity " Because our identity of ourselves is what drives / motivates us to make positive decisions in our lives. Just think about it for a second, Why didn't you quit basketball even when you had your injuries? For me, in my lowest moment, it was either i quit everything and accept to suffer Or I keep going It is because my identity of my self could not allow me to quit. What do you think about all this coach? Thank you and nice time.
@DeepGameBasketball
@DeepGameBasketball Жыл бұрын
@@ugehriddimmaster That is a pretty powerful insight, and I thank you for sharing it. I think it is certainly a part of your identity which didn't allow you to quit in this particular scenario, and it's a very signifiant part of your identity. But, there's more to the Law of Identity than that. It goes beyond quitting or staying, working towards something or being complacent, because there are so many other factors in play. Mastering the Law of Identity means that someone completely or nearly completely understands themself with both their weaknesses and strengths, and is genuine about it. Simon DeepGame

We have chapters for that reason -- players can feel free to watch as much or as little as they like. My goal is to help the teaching sink in fully for those who need it, which usually means looking at a point from multiple angles until it clicks.
