Ya I think my issues stem from dental work too. I don't recall ever getting food poisoning but I did chip my 2 front teeth in fourth grade. And I know I had some cavities. I think the body uses up more resources to deal with the heavy metal drip that occurs

i was born sick, at 5 weeks i almost died when they gave me penicillin….ever since i’ve been trying to put this puzzle together. when my grandson was diagnosed with celiac disease, he was my canary in the coal mine. i removed gluten from my diet and many symptoms improved, but didn’t go away. i have a recent diagnosis of Alpha 1 anti-trypsin deficiency….going back to logging everything i eat, when i eat, logging sleep, aches and pains…including the time mark on everything. I have a new Dr, the last told me of the Alpha 1 but didn’t bother to drill into my phenotype…this is the first thing my new Dr did, and rushed the results since i’ve been wondering for months…i have a type to require concern and now need to see a pulmonologist….and she wants the ANA test run. but his histamine intolerance seems very much a possibility. I have always thought I was given something as a baby and my system went nuts with the reaction, perhaps the formula, for sure probably had soy, dairy…. my first Covid vaccine…my system really over reacted, I work at a hospital…in talking to a physician I described my body’s reaction to the vax…he seriously looked at me and said you realize you had a strong immune system reaction…DON’T get covid. all these moments seem to point to histamine intolerance rather than Lupus, which my Dr is suspecting…or maybe I have both. i appreciate videos like these. (i facilitate professional CME education for physicians, i record them too but we don’t have ours posted for the community….but i learn from all of them…so much information available now compared to when i was young, born 1957)

look into homeopathy. My wife finds relief of symptoms with a few remedies (histaminum, apis, euphrasia). Get a good introductory book, eventually a materia medica. Nothing easy about homeopathy but it is fascinating and very effective. My wife has been studying this method for over 20 yrs. We have had great results with our pets as well. We don't see doctors, take no drugs, in our mid 60's; we credit whole animal based diet and homeopathy with our excellent overall health.

I had a bunch of silver mercury fillings as a child. I have felt hypoglycemic since adolescence. I'm almost 60 years old and I finally figured out that histamines trigger cytokines and cytokines affect blood sugar. I feel hypoglycemic and brain fog when I eat histamine food. I've been asking for help for 45 years and no doctor has suggested any of this. I eat low carb and low histamine. I take DAO but it doesn't seem to help. Thinking leaky gut and lowered immune response. Drink nettles combined with red tea daily. Is there a comprehensive list of high histamine foods and low histamine foods available for download? Amazing video. Most of this I recently discovered through my own research (which is a shame as doctors don’t even know, let alone recognize histamine intolerance as a real condition yet, let alone that they would know anything about the root causes and tackling the instead of naively treating with antihistamines (facepalm)), but it definitely helps a lot to see it validated by someone with experience and knowledge. I’m sure this can help so many people being gaslighted by conventional ledicine. Can I ask you a question? - where can I find the metabolic pathway specifics of the 2 major breakdown pathways of histamine? I would like to know which end products are produced, which enzymes are involved, and which cofactors are required in order to test and treat myself. I recently read that blockages in certain parts of these pathways can lead to buildup of metabolites which can cause even more symptoms than histamine itself, such as methylhistamine after it’s methylated by HNMT. A scource for this would be of great great help! Thanks a lot!!!

100 years ago, before we had pharma giants, doctors had to know more about diet. We're slowly moving back, but too slow. One of my older friends has bad histamine intolerance. She suffered for decades. Had I not told her about histamine intolerance, she would have zero relief. She mentioned histamine intolerance to her doctor in Canada he had no clue. I guess it wasn't discussed in medical school when he graduated and they're too busy dealing with patients to learn, I suppose.

Thank you so much for your sharing, doc. Will a DAO enzyme test help to diagnose if I have histamine intolerance? As I had diaherra right after finishing a course of antibiotics cos of postsurgery. I became intolerant to the foods I used to eat before and no problem, such as sauerkraut, kimchi cheese and avocado(all are lisyed as high histamine food) and I suspect it is due to a lack of DAO enzyme to break down the histamine in the body.

Epigenetics says that stressors on the mind and body can turn on those faulty genes so I wonder if retested once the body is brought back to homeostasis by balancing deficiencies, eliminating overgrowths and infections, supporting detox pathways and taking care of the mind would turn those genes off.

I experienced a period with histamine intolerance earlier in my life. I tried diets, reduced stress level, and finally I won the battle. But I have to be disciplined, careful and attentive to my organism. When I sin with food (for example eat some good mouldy cheese and then continue to eat sweets or cakes (processed sugar) ), sometimes the glass overflows and then I have to start antihistamine diet again and go on for weeks to feel better. :-( What this doctor says, makes sense. I was totally healthy when I attended a birthday party. No alcohol, just a little glass of Tokaj wine. Blameless meal. And then the desserts. 2 days after party I felt completely sick, leaking nose etc. Just one good lunch and that's it!

I understand about most thinks that you have to talk about...studied with Andy Cutler Hall...had autistic kids...and worked with him for a protocol to remove heavy metals...Not sure if this making sense...but the intolerance and the allergy to the help don't make much sense to me.

Has anyone experience heart palpitations after eating a meal? I have have issues like belching and difficulty to digest certain food. How could I test my self for histamine or mold?

I have the intense belching that the gas builds up in my stomach and make it feel like my heart is skipping but after I burp out the gas the skipping is gone...so I believe mine is more about gas pressing on my diaphragm and not really my heart skipping...this happens to me alot while I am sleeping and causing me to sleep with several pillows and not sleep too flat in my bed...

I have a chronic Bartonella and Lyme infection. I think thats the root cause of my hystamine intolerance. I get itchy skin every night and morning. I get frequent bouts of diarrhea. After literally 30 years of treatment by Infectious Disease Physicians, they failed to cure these infections. In some ways they made it WORSE. I used to live on Benedryl but after I found out tgat it causes Alzheimers, I rarely take it. So I suffer with itchy skin, itchy eyes, and diarrhea. I take Pharma grade Bentonite Clay, fiber, and Broken Cell Wall CHLORELLA. I can only eat fermented foods once in a while because it seems to bring on more diarrhea.

Now I'm so confused; there are so many possibilities and I don't know where to start and I doubt my doctor would. For almost 9 mos. I have GI problems after a minor fall while walking (fungal exposure in soil?), problems in our plumbing (leaks in wall and later wax ring. I came upon this because 5 or so years ago after eating at a Japanese restaurant (not sushi but fish) I became lightheaded and recently had similar symptoms. I ended up using a OTC histamine blocker. Are there any tests I should ask about to narrow it down? Thank you.

@EricasEsthetics
@EricasEsthetics Ай бұрын
To put it very simply, environmental toxicities like mold, heavy metals and infections like gut dysbiosis, SIBO, viruses and genetic variants like MTHFR are the root causes of your over-production and inability to break down histamines and the inflammatory cytokine storm.
@EricasEsthetics
@EricasEsthetics Ай бұрын
Also, nutrient deficiences are responsible as well, such as vit B2. You could have trouble with blocked methylation pathways and you can have trouble producing the master Methylator Sam e. Which affects the enymes that you are supposed to be able to produce in order to naturally break down histamines. Look into DAO supplements among others.

I don't have severe histamine intolerance symptoms, however my recent DNA test was positive for histamine intolerance. I've been dealing with methane SIBO for a while, could my histamine intolerance be driving my methane SIBO and not the other way?
@maxalbon9557
@maxalbon9557 10 ай бұрын
SIBO is not the cause, the disease called SIBO is also the result of another condition so you have to dig even deeper. Mostly it is problems with either an under-acidified stomach or problems with the gall bladder and proper bile secretion. If these two things aren't working properly then there is a very good chance of bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine, aka SIBO. Going back to your main question, yes it is possible, not directly, but indirectly, among other things, in the way I described here, only as I say, SIBO is not the cause of anything, but the result of other problems in the body.

Can someone PLEASE tell me if it's normal to have an almost mental breakdown about a week after moving away from heavy mold exposure?? I had a horrible day, out of the blue, yesterday and my daughter had the same thing happen a few days ago. It was so strange because we both felt like just laying in bed and crying and that is NOT us. We're typically very upbeat. I think it must be a mold detox symptom or something because we felt so strangely similar. I just wanted to throw the covers over my head and cry. (I also was an idiot and forgot to replace our pillows.) They've been thoroughly washed and dried now and I feel a little better this morning thankfully. Is all that normal detox symptoms?

OneMain trigger you left out is NSAID's. I cannot even take one aspirin Tylenol or Ibuprofen without having a pain in my digestive system for the next 2 weeks mainly a pain in the right center of my chest which seems to be somewhere near the liver area but it happens like clockwork if I take any painkillers so now I'm not able to ever take any sort of painkiller for any reason without paying the price. My other symptoms are excess mucus which always makes me cough. The dander of people in general is a trigger for me if I walk into a clothing store or hotel or somewhere, my body begins to attack everyone's dander
