Hystamine makes elevated cortisol which causes weight gain which causes all sorts of problems. It has wrecked my body causing severe anxiety and depression. It's taken me 10 years to find the culprit. I never knew hystamine was related to anxiety and depression. Why don't doctors tell you this? Our healthcare system is broken in the US. They would rather drug me for anxiety and depression instead of fixing the underlying cause which is hystamine intolerance. I'm so angry!!! Thank you for your video!!!

Welcome to the fight... all the professionals I consulted over the years were absolutely useless as you've experienced. I'm on the verge of a full recovery from the useless US medical system that almost killed me 7 years ago... I had reached the point of severe "adrenal fatigue" or more accurately Hypothalamic Pituitary Adrenal (HPA) axis dysfunction. Every time I ate, my adrenals were no longer immediately stabilizing my blood sugar and thus I felt like I was going to pass out. No one could explain what was going on and in desperation I took a medication prescribed to me that almost cost me my life. I have spent tons of money and through acupuncture rectified what was going on. In the meantime I educated myself a great deal and became aware of (under)methylation, a topic that Ben covers a lot. Have you gotten yourself tested? In my case, sure enough, I'm undermethylated. Not a single f*cking "professional" over decades of various problems I had was ever of any use. Nothing. Zero. Zip. Zilch. 0. In the past 7 years I have educated myself to a degree that my former self would have been hard pressed to believe. I found a Twitter following and have helped a great number of people these past few years. Today, I trust doctors as far as I can toss them, I have no respect whatsoever for the title of "medical doctor." I have found a few online that have their head on straight, a Dr. Paul Mason from Australia is one of them. But outside of a handful that I've come to respect, medical doctors are absolute sh*t to me...

Turned out that it was a copper deficiency and once I started taking a copper/zinc supplement (copper and zinc work together) my histamine intolerance totally corrected itself within 3 days! Now I'm back to my youthful tolerance and can eat whatever I want to. (Of course I'm still taking my copper/zinc supplement every other day.)

This happens to me nightly. I wake up with a rush of adrenaline in my stomach and this feeling can continue for hours. Every single doctor I have seen, and I have seen NUMEROUS specialists, have always chalked this up to anxiety. Yes, I have anxiety, but I tell them that an autonomic nervous system effect is taking place and they kind of give me this dumfounded look. It was not until I went to a holistic doctor that my adrenals were ever discussed. I am three years into this situation with my body rejecting medications, full blown anxiety, brain fog, etc etc and finally the histamine connection is all making sense.

@@LencoTB I think one of problems is that my body is producing too many histamines at this particular time of night. I have found for the moment that if I take antihistamine right before bedtime it SOMETIMES takes me through the issue. However, I understand that when you get this adrenaline rush that your stomach is simultaneously producing lots of acid. The other night I woke up and took a Pepsid and it seemed to calm down the nervousness in my stomach so I could actually get back to sleep. I am getting ready to go on a huge liver detox diet and see how this will do for me. I also am going to see an acupuncturist for the first time on Monday. I also am going to an immunologist/allergist to see if they can give me insight into this situation since I am almost positive that the histamines are causing this issue. I constantly have sinusitis and this is also a common issue when having too many histamines produced.
@jillherrmann14163 ай бұрын
@@LencoTB that can be a histamine response. Body releases histamine around that time. Lowering histamine during the day should help if that is the cause of your waking. Thank you so much for such a thoughtful presentation. Question: With regards to adrenal function can MTHFR alone cause adrenal fatigue? Is it a solo contributor in the absence of outside influences or stressors? Reason for asking... I have the MTHFR 677TT mutation and variable results for cortisol. Some years high, some years low. I can tell when my summer tan remains throughout winter or at least how I feel - wiped out - and a lasting tan. Not Addison's. As an FYI and perhaps to spark another topic or two...severe or debilitating MTHFR-related symptoms didn't appear to surface until menopause perhaps due to reduced absorption with one exception, hearing loss at 41, written off as due to childhood ear infections. I now believe folate and B12 deficit caused this based on research. Hearing is somewhat improved although tinnitus remains. Other MTHFR symptoms: dizziness, anxiety, vision disturbances, cervical spondy (resolved w B12), gastritis, and more. Also exploring if pernicious anemia is a factor in my case since Dutch/German heritage and PA is more common in Northern EU. Apologies for the lengthy note! Thank you again for all the education and safe travels!

MTHFR alone - absolutely not. MTHFR can contribute to mood imbalances which then can be triggering to adrenals. I'd consider Histamine Nutrients for your ear ringing as it supports healthy histamine levels. High histamine is associated with tinnitus. MTHFR is associated with high histamine. www.seekinghealth.com/products/histamine-nutrients if your adrenals are pretty wiped out, consider the Adrenal Cortex in the morning along with more salt in your diet.

But I’ve read that they are not meant to be taken for a longer period of time. You also mentioned that don’t take them on the day that you feel good. No one mentioned this to me and I struggle with burnout again. From the Saliva tests I’ve taken previously I have low morning cortisol. I am afraid that I’ve ruined my body by taking Adrenal Glandular for 5 months then paused two months and took them again for 5 months every day 1 capsule. I really hope you see this comment and can respond.

Hi doc, I suffer from stage 4 fibromyalgia. I'm interested if this supplement can help with my chronic fatigue. I can barely put one foot in front of the other, I'm exhausted everyday. Last month I checked all foods that are high in histamine and I do have histamine intolerance. Thank you so much for this information, it would be such a relief if it would work for me.

I wish I had you as my Dr. I’m a mess & don’t even know where to start. Wanted to do the Strategene test but I live in NY so can’t get it.

Man that explain some things. I also wonder if it has to do with insulin levels, I’m trying to eat, almost keto, because I do believe fruits in moderation can be healthy, but I’ve had tested adrenal exhaustion in the past, and I know I’m still dealing with fatigue because me, and I almost pass out every time I stand up, and I do have low blood pressure, so it could just be that too, but sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and I’m starving! But I know I eat a decent supper and I have no need to be so hungry. Drives me bonkers. I have not really been forcing myself to eat breakfast, because I wake up, I have a glass of water and some Tudca (I have gall sludge some gall stones) and then I’ll just have a cup of coffee with coconut milk in about a tablespoon of maple syrup and I’m normally not even hungry until maybe one in the afternoon. I have not been taking my adrenal cortex until then . Maybe I should take it when I first wake up I wonder if I could take it with Tudca or if I need to space those two apart…

Insomnia and EARLY morning awakening at 4am.... Boom, wide awake! When would you recommend taking adrenal cortex to 'reset' adrenals?

Same issue for me dude, sucks. Histamine foods are a trigger for sure, as well as exercise.

I don't follow something - isn't stress actually INCREASING Cortisol?.. I always knew it that way. While here it's being suggested, to not stress out, since that would decrease your Cortisol... I'm confused, can someone pls explain.
@DrBenLynch8 ай бұрын
Stress does increase cortisol until your adrenals get to the point where you are depleted and running low on the ability to secrete healthy amounts of cortisol. So yes - initially - high secretion of cortisol from stress and then, long term stress, you're going to have lower levels of cortisol. 'Burn out.'

So is this something to use along with Histamine block? I give my son histamine block because he wakes up tired in the mornings. My detox pathways need improvement and my adrenals are sluggish due to mold exposure. Histamine block doesn’t block histamine, but helps your body break it down properly, correct? Way I’m understanding histamine is helpful in ways. It’s so much to take in. I just want to make sure I’m getting the right supplements to support my family,

Difference between cortex and whole glandular?

Cortex is only one part of the adrenal, glandular contains both.
