Michigan Gone Wild rolls into another Michigan Rifle Deer Season on Public Land. The crew is in search of Big Public land bucks in Northern Michigan. This was a season to remember in the Whitetail woods as some nice bucks are taken as the crew spends two weeks hunting the northern part of Michigan.

Great videos, brought back memories my dad and my two sons hunting in the Pigeon River up at the fire tower and on the pipeline. Got a seven point years ago on the pipeline. Always an annual hunt in the Pigeon River. Nice job. I'm in Florida now but I used to live in Gaylord ( born and bred). Thanks again

I will say that one of the things I like about your channel is that you guys really hunt. You don't go to a ranch where a guide leads a "trophy" out on a leash and then the hunters celebrate their "accomplishment". My sympathies on the missed shots. We have all been there.

Awesome videos always! Keep up the good work and putting in the time. As a retired military member I've always looked forward to deer camp if I have the opportunity. Living in the south (for now) I've made the 1500 mile (one way) drive North every year for the past 8 years to have the opportunity to spend time with my dad and 3 brothers and all the other guys at their camps. We are blessed to have hunting land in the UP as well as below the bridge in Michigan. Counting the days until I'm on the road North, one of these days I'm coming back to the Great state of Michigan to stay. Thanks for inspiring me and producing a high quality film, you have me as a faithful subscriber, perhaps one day we can spend some time in the woods together. Keep on doing what you do, it is well worth it.

Chad Peterson Thanks for the offer. I will certainly keep it in mind. My trip to WI this year was a bust. Horrible weather Conditions had me in the hotel more than I was in the stand. I always see hunt videos outside of Michigan and was hoping for a good Michigan hunt video. This video shows people shooting a lot of little bucks and not practicing any sort of QDM. Seems like you go in depth with the detail in this video but wish you would practice QDM and shoot bigger bucks. Before you respond with "No one else practices QDM", it needs to start somewhere and with a platform like what you have here it would be a nice start. I appreciate the realness of the hunt in your video because I can't stand guys hunting ranches and treating it like they were hunting free range deer. It is possible to have monsters outside of ranches and a few guys from my deer camp including myself have done so by practicing QDM.

@MichiganGoneWild
@MichiganGoneWild 5 жыл бұрын
Craig Benz The footage is from the year before the publishing year was 2017. As for the brow tines, all she had left was a restricted tag. It only allows you to harvest a buck with four points or more on one side. She had to make sure the Buck had brow tines on at least one side.

"I couldn't see anything, I had my scope up, but I could tell he was somewhere in here" It's refreshing to see a group of guys hunting for REAL, but my first time watching these guys' videos and in the first 15 minutes, the two brothers and the woman all admit to taking bad shots. If you aren't 100% sure of your shot, you shouldn't take it. Can't see the deer? Trees in the way? Too dark? All of the above happened to them, and they shot anyway.

Great video guys. But why are you showing things that screw into the trees to hold your gear when you on public land? Not a good idea.

baghalman They're not used in the aid of climbing or affixing the tree stand to the tree. We are well aware of the rules. Thanks for watching!

Hopefully you got that information from your local conservation officer so you don't find yourself in a bind. I'm in law enforcement and work beside the DNR. They just confirmed what I said earlier. Be careful what you put on social media.

I'm well aware of what it says. I even re read it. I just spoke with the DNR. No penetrating the trees period. Again, I like the video though.

What I don't like about Michigan is the fact that property owners AREN"T allowed to hunt on their own property without a license and/or a game permit. A friend of mine that owns a fairly large farm and puts up with crop damages, and all the other damages wildlife causes to his property, plus the fact that he pays taxes on the place twice a year and yet he isn't permitted to hunt on it without being licensed to do so, is asinine, I live in Kentucky and I don't need a permit of any kind to hunt or fish. To me Michigan or any other state that does that to property owners are as greedy as the character in A Christmas Carole (Scrooge). If any big game is harvested (deer or turkey0 It has to be reported the same as with any licensed hunter has to do. It's not the cost of fees that I am complaining about, it's the fact that being required to use personal property one HAS to be licensed by the state to do so.

We haven't heard that side of the story. I think you've got a valid argument. Sure seems like the American people get hammered from all directions. Sadly you gotta pay to play.

You like to keep it real? Most people (KZbin hunters) don't show the deer they've wounded? I've watched a lot of these videos over the years and a lot this fall because of rainy weather. And that's not true. It's the same story over and over again with some - well I just made an error and oh, I'm so sad - couldn't sleep all night. We looked and looked and looked. And often a deer shows up and it's, "Yep, positive the deer I shot survived.". What bullshit. Do you think everyone watching these videos are as inexperienced and as much a baby as you are? What you did was to simply justify and in fact blow off what you did in regard to wounding that deer. Think any young impressionable kids watch these videos? I'm guessing there are. What a role model for future hunters. No wonder people in western states hate Wisconsin and Michigan hunters. My favorite line was, "And it's gonna happen again.". The deer you wounded possibly dying in agony after being shot in the guts or maybe the face, how the hell would you know where, and you're doing a phony whine and next year you'll do the same thing because you're a child refusing to accept responsibility for what you did. Or are perfectly content about what you did because now you're contrite. You were all hyped up about "getting your buck" and how nice it was going to be to show it to your buddies. It was dark. Opening day! I'm so excited! So you succumbed to the temptation to take a risky shot without really considering the consequences. Not enough time for that. Not much of a hunter really. You should quit. Or take what you're doing (taking a life or condemning an animal to suffering you can't possibly understand) serious enough to make it between you and a deer and not a social event. Some of guys doing these videos have been shooting videos year after year and if you check previous videos they've wounded multiple deer. I subscribed. I'll be watching. How many times did you shoot that rifle out of a tree stand before season started BTW? Offhand? Maybe you're incompetent. Beautiful country and it was great to see you're not "hunting" over bait. Nicely filmed. Most of the rest was disgusting. Too bad. If you and your buddies had some decent ethics you could present some really good videos.

@@MichiganGoneWild thats exactly my point you just told it all...you dont care about the ones youve put a bad shot on and probably wounded you only care about the deer youve killed...all im saying is maybe spend a few more hours at the range before cracking shots off at such regal creatures
