I agree but for the price this one us fun to play with. GPS is a must for one you want back.

You could always strap a light "action cam" on it when you get more confident in flying it, then you could get some really good aerial and video and stills footage; much cheaper than using a DJI Mini Pro; with the caveat there's no GPS if you get into trouble. 13:51 Edit: the DJI Mini Pro series (all < 250g) have such good cameras on them, you don't need a larger drone (I've got the Mini Pro 3, which will shoot 4k in 10 bit colour - very good for grading and the Prof 4 has 4k, 10 bit log capability).

I could strap my dji osmo mini on but thats a 500 camera just looking to get lost or smashed. No thanks.

@@12voltvids You can get some good quality cheap action cams for way less than that. $500 gets you a DJI Mini Pro 3, _with GPS_ .

I purchased a drone many years ago, and unfortunately, there was so much interference on the 2.4GHz band that the controller kept losing connection to the drone.

Yes 2.4 is full of interference. I deal with people bitching that their wifi is slow or drops. They won't accept that it is interference. Waste too much time putting in wifi boosters only to listen to the same complaints. 5ghz is just as bad. And they really like it when I point a finger at their wireless sound bar or sonos system which are some of the biggest offenders.

An inexpensive, legal in Canada (249 grams) mini DJI drone would astonish you. Seriously.

Yes I know but I didn't buy this. Its the first one I have flown. Dji is much more expensive. Good to learn how to fly on a cheap one first.

yup. cheap. For what it cost its good. The video quality is probably my ancient phone. I ran out of memory because it stored to phone memory and its pretty much full these days. Will have to get a new phone one of these days. Actually have one, just haven't switched yet as there is one app I still use and thats BBM, but they are shutting that down in a few months so once that is done I will fire up the new hardware.

@@12voltvids Yeah, that's a fair statement. These value drones are easy to fly and so what kind of makes them junk is the Nokia flip phone camera. It's kind of too bad, really

​@spinphoto these toys really only have one purpose. A 1 way trip to fly contraband over prison walls anyway. Someone pulls up along a parallel road launches from a car flies it over the wall and lands and tosses the controller and they are gone before anyone knows what's up. At least thats what js reported on the news. Drugs, cell phones ect.
