Not sure if it is an option for your trap Robert but you could slice up the funnels leading into the trap so it expands when they try to get inside the trap, but not when they try to exit. This way you can get larger iguanas while not letting the smaller ones escape.

I bet I could come up with a solution that the state could fund. The meat could then be sold to restaurants or donated to homeless shelters and the skin used to make things. At first I thought "WHAT?" but then I realized I was introduced to turtle when I was a youngster by my grandparents. It was good and since then I snake, alligator and loved it. I would surely try it. In Central America, we stew those in coconut milk, then rice and beans, breadkind on the side, very expensive plate, if you go to a restaurant, but they are because, it's not easy getting them unless you go into the bush and hunt them down, Florida, they don't eat them, soo, you got a lot running around in urban neighborhood, well prepared with the right seasoning ingredient, they taste very good!!

we've been going down to FL to hunt them every year. We go during beginning of lobster open season and stay for the python challenge. Usually we get about 50 lbs of iguana meat back home. Can't believe how rampant they are now. We catch them all. From small ones to large ones.

instead of a funnel make a trapdoor style entrance like used on the Dungeons' crab traps. Use something heavy like cattle panel metal but with small holes and it should work great. Light enough then can lift it to go under yet heavy enough they cant bend it to get back out.

This is one of the funniest videos I've seen. I had a thought about those traps though if you were to cut slits in the end of the funnel so that it can expand if the Iguana tries to push through it'll let the bigger ones through but won't be able to go back through

The iguana game is cut of the legs and tail and place in a zip lock bag in the freezer, for eating or selling as "fish bait". Skin the middle for a wallet and throw the rest of the carcass in a cray trap. Food, money, fish. Use your knife on the neck to save pellets
