Second, why is it offensive? It was meant to be funny and a kind of joke. They wanted to create a funny documentary about lolita. It doesn't make lolitas look bad. I am also a lolita and I enjoy it really much too see this.

Discorded KZbinr if you can't afford Lolita, check out 2nd hand sites like Lacemarket and Bodyline. Stay away from the bodyline pettis though. i recommend one from MeLikesTea, even though it's a bit pricier for a quality voile or organza one.

Yea, bodyline petties are a little too small for lolita but good for layering!! They do have some nice poof to them I might add (I bought one) and it can be worn for other fashions as well!! However, if its all you have it honestly doesnt look so bad until the wind blows LOL (Half the skirt is poofy, the other half looks like drapes blowing in the wind) :P I recommend bunny house petticoats, that'll be my next hunt!!

I recommend you Taobao, petticoats, bloomers, headbands, lolita dress,... you name it. Don't buy from taobao shops that have heart symbols under the shop name because they may scam you by not send you anything or the product come looks completely different from the picture. Buy from shops have diamonds, crown (golden crowns are the best shops, next is sliver crowns, then diamond - goodshop and heart - the worst) There are replicas on taobao, so watch out You don't need to know Chinese to buy from Taobao, lady Merlin has a video called "How to buy from Taobao" which will guide you all you need to know Hope this help

no! please do not buy any random dress that you think might be able to accomodate a petti. Lolita has a very specific aesthetic! Cheaper alternatives to brand are taobao lolita brands, second hand markets (lacemarket, egl-comm-sales, closet child), or bodyline (although i don't recommend them cause their prices have gone up in the past year and the quality is definitely subpar for their current price and also some of their designs are a bit questionable)

Aww, don't say that! :3 I'm sure there's Lolita dresses that will fit you! I'm pretty tall, so lots of Meta and AP would be way too short for me, but Baby for example is just right most of the time. There are lots of taobao sellers and indie brands, that sell dresses spesifically for whatever measurements you send them! Don't give up, there's a dress for every body type!

im afraid im very, very fat. i don't mind if the dresses would be short on me, but im far too big for brand or offbrand, and in all my attempts at searching the only custom size places ive found are all in chinese, and i cant understand a single thing about sizing or find any guides on how you custom order from them. it also seems the things already made in my size aren't very pretty at all, and i'd rather not just settle for something because it fits when it costs so much. i want to get something I"d truly like. but thats ok, i'll just have to sit by an watch other people be pretty instead :0!

Working and saving ^u^ I work at Subway, so it's not like I have a super-high paying job or anything, but what really helps me is saving money when it comes to me. For example, I keep a "tip jar" at my house. Every day after work I put the $2-3 worth of tips I got in there and save up for something like a hat, or a skirt. Also, before I had a job I would save up all my birthday/Christmas/random money for loli! Instead of impulse-buying various things, saving up is really helpful! (:

One is a Japanese fashion the other is the Japanese way of referencing the book/complex. Lolita fashion isn’t about looking like a loli. Thus why Japan made a difference.
