If he hadn’t gotten injured, it would still be a case of trying something he might have regretted not attempting. He gave it a shot, and sometimes, things don’t turn out the way we hope. I don't think he felt he NEEDED to make the NFL. It's just a goal of his. A good example is NFL players that went back to school. Nick Rogers (R.I.P.) was playing for the Vikings, but came back to Georgia Tech to finish his degree (I was shocked seeing him on campus). He sure as hell didn't need the degree, he wanted it.
