The amount of reads/ options there are on both sides is just so rediculous. I’m still over here operating on pure instinct like Solid Snake

Commenting for the algorithm. Short content that has all you need is the best. Especially since these are usually drills for fundamentals.

This video does a great job explaining how to approach opponents who seem to always have an answer to my offense. Thanks!!

Dude, more Tekken videos please! There are a lot of streamers who cover the game but they just like turn on the camera and ramble for like 45 minutes. I've gotten more out of your 3-4 videos than any other channel!

As a new Tekken player, I'm totally in the Tekken rabbithole and I love it. Just about to hit red ranks with Dragunov .

Good info to have! Could we get a video on what to do defensively when our back is to a wall? It's where I'm struggling the most atm. Getting up off the ground against the wall and how to get out of the corner.

Hi dude! May I ask if you know how to increase ones defense stat? Mine is currently the lowest out of all my other stats which is weird since lately I'd been blocking a lot, side stepping at times, breaking 90% of throws, interrupting strings, not falling for oki setups, doing low parries etc... but my defense stat won't go up at all... Is there something I need to specifically focus on improving?
@Chris_F2 ай бұрын
Not quite sure as I don’t pay attention to the stats. Maybe someone else knows. Very sorry!

Can you do something similar for SF6? Like, when you're trying to shimmy but the defender mashes when you inch away?
@Chris_F4 ай бұрын
I think I already have!

Just learn the attack pattern and block everything. People tends attack during attack patterns and delay attacks.

While it's always great introducing players to these concepts I can't help, but despise it when people try to invent their own terminology just to make it sound more unique or interesting. Dash blocking has been in Tekken since forever and I've never heard it being called any other way. Fighting games are already hard as it is, no need to rename old things to make them sound interesting or new. Oh and "but that's what people have told me it was called when I first learned about it" doesn't really fly. If you wanna teach people something you should do some research about it first. No Tekken player would've called it that. Nothing against you in particular, but these types of videos is how people start to overcomplicate simple topics, it starts with renaming known terminology. P.S: There's Step Guarding in Soulcalibur, but it's a bit different...and this isn't Soulcalibur.

I live in Japan, I’m bilingual and I learned Tekken here. It’s called “step in guard” in Japanese so I just translated it. My bad for not researching the English terminology
@SlCKNESS_3 ай бұрын
@@Chris_F In all honesty I thought you probably watched a Korean/Japanese video or something, because they do in fact use the term "Guard", like with SSG (Sidestep Guard) and stuff like that. But you living in Japan also makes perfect sense. Again, nothing against you and it's ALWAYS appreciated to introduce people to these concepts. I'm just a bit wary of people overcomplicating simple concepts. Apologies, if I seem like I'm overreacting. P.S: If you haven't made a video about sidestep blocking you should. It's not like there aren't videos about it (even JDCR has one), but you never know who your videos may reach.

Thanks for taking the time to reply! It’s always hard to understand tone when reading KZbin comments. I’m going to make a video on that, I actually started already!

While this is a great and informative video, never defend. Every second a player *holds* b or db is a second lost when you can relentlessly spam
