For the guest characters: Cole McGrath is the protagonist of Sony's inFamous who also appeared alongside Heihachi in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, another fighting game with mixed reception that released in the same year. Toro is one of Sony's Japanese mascots and he and Kuro first appeared in the Japan-exclusive Doko Demo Issho. Mega Man looks middle aged because that's his look from the North American box art of Mega Man 1, which is known as "Bad Box Art Mega Man". It's often referred to as one of the worst video game box arts. Pac-Man was probably added as a joke character as he usually doesn't appear in Namco's other crossovers despite being Namco's most famous character. (Probably for tonal reasons) It's still interesting how he pilots a self-made Mokujin instead of fighting on his own.

So Fun Fact, both Elena and Christie are both practitioners of Capoeira however Christie is Tekkens second practitioner and Elena Ironically enough is also the second practitioner the first for both were men Eddie for Tekken and Dee Jay for Street Fighter though Dee Jay is a mix between Capoeira and Kickboxing, while Eddie is more pure Capoeira. Another Fun Fact, Both Dudley and Steve fox's super are technically the same move just executed differently. It's called the Dempsey Roll made famous by both Jack Dempsey and the anime character Makunouchi Ippo. Dudley does the more classically known version of the move while Steve does a heavily stylized but effective version of it. Also not sure if anybody has told you this but Hugo is based on the Wrestler Andre the Giant.

Seeing Balrog paired with Vega made me remember that their was a name switch. Balrog, the boxer had his name was switched from M. Bison because the fighter mimicked Mike Tyson and they didn’t want a lawsuit. In the original Japanese version, Balrog is the matador fighter, M. Bison is the boxer, and Vega is M. Bison. Just a fun fact!

Okay, this might be a bit long....with Guy (yes that is his actual name) and Cody the move Guy used is a staple move associated with ninja, it's called a Kaiten Izuna Otoshi..which translates to Revolving Izuna Drop. This move has been around and used by video game and anime ninja for literal decades, at it's most basic form the Izuna Drop is a head first pile driver where you hold your opponent from behind in such a way that they cannot escape your hold and you land their head on the ground JUST before your own by either positioning or letting go at the absolute LAST second to get away while they take the full damage..usually to a caved skull and snapped neck. The first Izuna Drop appeared in the manga Ninpu Kamui Gaiden, where the main character gets the idea for the move by watching weasels hunt birds in flight by jumping from branches onto their backs to send them into the ground. Other series later added the spin which made it even more destructive because not only would it crush the skull and break the neck from impact force to the neck..the spin actually would break the neck from torque as well as impact. The more games and anime you look at you'll see this move used by ninja, Vega (who you saw earlier) has a non-spinning version as a regular move, Rock Lee and Maito Gai from Naruto have the Omote Renge/Primary Lotus, Ryu Hayabusa has a dozen different ways to get into that move in Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive..seriously if you see a ninja in a game, there's a good chance they have an Izuna Drop move. The Izuna part of the name comes from either the Japanese common name for the least weasel, Mount Izuna in Nagano Prefecture, its tengu deity Izuna-gongen, or the weasel-like kuda-gitsune [pipefoxes] said to be wielded by his cult, according to the research I've done on this move.

I've just realized how terrifying some horror villains lullabies are like for example Bendy's lullaby(ok fine not a lullaby it's kind of like a little short song that you sing to summon him the song goes like this "Sheep Sheep Sheep it's time for sleep" "Rest your dead it's time for bed" "In the morning you may wake" "Or in the morning you'll be dead" Or Freddy Krueger's song "One,two, Freddy's coming for you" "Three, four, Better lock your door" "Five, six, grab a crucifix" "Seven, eight, gonna stay up late" "Nine, ten, Never Sleep again" But this next one is just downright terrifying, absolutely nightmare fuel Slenderman's lullaby "Slenderman, Slenderman" "All the children try to run" "Slenderman,Slenderman" "To him it's part of the fun" "Slenderman,Slenderman" "Dressed in darkest suit and tie" "Slenderman,Slenderman" "You most certainly will die" With a lullaby like that it's no surprise why my Cousins(Morgan and Anissa) were terrified of him

Aw man, kinda bummed you went with this video for the game. There are several problems with it, like special effects for certain attacks are absent for some reason. At 15:30, the guy hits you with an electric tornado, and at 21:38, Pac-man shoots the opponent with a laser from his robot thing, but both effects are just entirely missing. Also, Toro and Kuro (the cats) actually have changing facial expressions, but again, for some reason they are static in this video. As for the "offensive gesture" at 11:18, it's not what you think. Paul may be American, but he was created by Japanese people. In Japan, this gesture has a different meaning. Something along the lines of "I won" or "I'm gonna beat you". Ken, Dan and Balrog from Street Fighter have also used this gesture.

I have a suggestion for whenever you guys do Dead or Alive for Fight Night Fridays: Now that you're doing Death Battles along with what you do on this channel, a good Death Battle to go along with DoA would be Ryu Hayabusa Vs. Strider Hiryu. Sure, Ryu Hayabusa is the main character of Ninja Gaiden, but he's also a recurring major character in the Dead or Alive series, and Death Battle has yet to use any other DoA characters as far as I know, so it would be the most fitting one to go with.

You two should watch the cutscenes between the rival teams from the game when you two get the chance. I've compiled a list in the comments section that pairs each character from the different series as the rivals that should've been from my point of view, (for example, Ryu vs Jin cause they're both main characters from their series, Ken and Hwoarang cause they're rivals to the main character etc.). That would be nice to see one day. Also, are you two Street Fighter fans or Tekken fans or both?

I’d love to suggest to you guys to start watching “Death Battle” by Screw Attack. It’s where they pit two characters from videos games/tv shows/comics/anime against one another, highlighting their abilities and weaknesses and then putting them into a death battle against one another. The people who voice it, Wiz & Boomstick are what really make it fun. They’ve done Dante v Bayonetta. Carolina from Red v Blue vs Meta, Link v Cloud, Wolverine v Raiden from Metal Gear, Yang from RUBY v Tifa from FFVII etc. It’s a good time

MegaMan had the misfortune of appearing when people were already upset with Capcom for, among other things, canceling then upcoming games that were widely anticipated, namely MegaMan Legends 3 ( it really didn't help that his backstory was just MegaMan Volnutt's from MegaMan Legends). He came up when Ono was discussing the character with Keiji Inafune, one of the people behind MegaMan. Ono jokingly suggested basing him on America's infamously bad box art for the first game, only for Inafune to give his blessing. Inafune himself had nixed Classic Megaman on the grounds of not being interesting enough.

What is so sad about this game is there was so much great in the art style the fighting the underlined humor. But the DLC on the disk and the gem debacle and more just torched it

Im legit happy you guys watched these. The game was super hated in the fgc but it was a hidden gem and still has a good following despite its terrible mechanics such as the gem system and them hiding the dlc on disc behind a paywall. Still a fun game nonetheless. Also fun fact. Poison is actually trans. Because she originally appeared in final fight and people were upset about a male character beating up a woman. So capcom basically hinted that shes not actually a woman and she has a weiner. Also thats bad boxart megaman from the 1st game
