Looking at the defendant’s nonchalant attitude, the plaintiff should have known that it was a bad idea to give him his car. What makes you think he was going to suddenly be responsible if he has never been responsible before? People can save themselves a lot of trouble if they simply pay attention. "voluntary surrender" is not a thing. the car is repossessed and decimates your credit. a repo on your credit is tantamount to financial death. you will still have to pay the note along with additional fees.
