Without a doubt, had the plaintiff not witnessed the accident, the daughter defendant would have driven off and never told anyone about hitting the neighbor's car. Still, 18 is an adult. The only thing I could figure is that it was the dad’s insurance that would have paid if he had been honest and admitted the claim was legit. So once he lied and the insurance denied the claim, the plaintiff should have sued both driver and dad.

I’ve seen people say it’s just a small scratch and let it go but I’ve also seen people demand it be fixed. In the end she hit his car damaged it she’s liable. The pictures of the damage that the plaintiff provided were terrible. You couldn't see the damage if there was any to begin with. The judge should have gone outside to look at the car in person if it was driven there.
