Without a doubt, had the plaintiff not witnessed the accident, the daughter defendant would have driven off and never told anyone about hitting the neighbor's car. Still, 18 is an adult. The only thing I could figure is that it was the dad’s insurance that would have paid if he had been honest and admitted the claim was legit. So once he lied and the insurance denied the claim, the plaintiff should have sued both driver and dad.

The Defendant is complaining the insurance company didn't contact him until August. That's because they jerked the Plaintiff around for months.
