You can cure it, the antidote works in an instant meaning it would have been in the bloodstream. So its heart is pumping

​@@khalilrahme5227 Yes. You can't *revive* it in any way. But you CAN find a hidden vial of kharaa antidote made by the MC's sister prior to her death. Bringing it back to a machine near the head of the frozen leviathan will trigger a cutscene in which you cure the body of kharaa so that it can't be sampled and used by Alterra for nefarious purposes.

If we do ever get a third installment to the subnautica series I would love to see a desendent of this creature just milling about. Maybe at a stalker level threat just on and around land.

My theory is that the frozen leviathan is an ancestor of the cryptosuchus, as we can see some similarities like the webbed feet, similar leg/body ratio, the long tail and the plates on the back. Modern day cryptos have more plating, so it may have evolved from the smaller plates that we see on the frozen leviathan. that’s why I call the frozen leviathan „Protocryptosuchus”, though it likely has nothing to do with them in the minds of the developers

Hmm I don't think so, I think kharaa kind of acts like a fungus / mushroom in that its a parasite feeding on the body whether its alive or dead, I could be wrong though!

Honestly, I think the creature may have acted like a mix between crocs/gators and hippos. Hear me out, hippos don't necessarily swim but rather walk and jump on the waterbed to get back out, I do believe that the powerful and meaty legs of this leviathan somewhat resemble both equal worlds of the two species I mentioned. the tail definitely is like a crocs and the bone plates may act like how hippos teeth when they fight for dominance or just for malice. Definitely a cool leviathan in my book

fun fact there is a theory that this levithan is not acculy ded but insted in a wery big hybernation state and that the karar in its body gets heald becose the blod can still pump the enzyme 42 sugesting it just being inactive for now but thats just a theory i once heard and you can also say that the enzyme 42 just went thrue the pathways of karar or is a kind of antibody that can conciusly follow the trails of the infection

Sugestion: the three large spine like plates could also be used for swimming think about it their shape is hydrodynamic from the front and bowl like from the back so in theory the leviathan could use them for water traversal by extending his front legs and then bending them
