Like the current story is only really hinging on the fact that Robin decided to let a dead alien in her head and now she has to run errands to get him out of her head, plus the Frozen Leviathan is a core reason for why Robin is on 4546b is because Sam wanted to stop Alterra’s work on the Frozen Leviathan and ended up getting a target on her back. Al-an had nothing to do with Sam and therefore nothing to do with Robin traveling to my he planet but the Frozen Leviathan is important to the story and it’s background

i agree at least when your are about to launch i they ever make another sequal where u might play as the person who helped gt off the ship but i have a idea for anthomia if they change their mind the idea is that when u make way off the planet you look back at the exit for it and see t jumping out and like a ice worm it jumps through the ice layer and dives into the water and robin looks at the water confused and have her nearly stop the ship and while she does that she looks back as it counts down it canceling the take off and sees it jump at her roaring s she jumps out she looks at the ship get destroyed by its giant tusks and teeth wreck the ship and turn round and see robin as it roars and your last sight it is giant teeth as you run back to where it escaped and watch as it looks for you and find you hiding it its old ice cast is roars breaking some of the ice and see a shadow levithan or the sea emperors kids fight it and nearly win as al-an shows how so many deaths will happen during this including hers but she doesnt care s she is frozen in fear she sees the injured and dead sea emperors carrie one another away and then one tells u to run but u dont hve time and you see ur lst view of the froze levithan while u take out one of its teeth and u geta diferent view after wrestling the beast and see robin die while it slowly zooms out with the roar as the perspective follows it to the void as it goes deeper u see it go in a cave and it fades to blck seeing every last thing and seeing big nest of bones in the cve with the creture giving telepathy to u saying "until another time i rule the waters" and the game ends

I have an idea : after you heal the Frozen Leviathan and continuing the story you would hear a big scream coming from the Frozen Leviathan cave. Your PDA would tell you to return to the cave and investigate, you return to the cave, the creature breaks free just like with the cut illusion cinematic, but this time it's real. The Frozen Leviathan is so hungry he just ignores you and starts running outside to hunt. You're so scared to go out because you know he is outside too. You know he's outside but you don't know exactly where. So you continue to play and with or without noticing it, you're now in The Void, you hear the Ghosts Chelicerates but you hear something bigger too in the distance; It's the Frozen Leviathan, he was there all that time eating Chelicerates. Then you realize what you're seeing but it's already too late...

The creature being “stone cold dead” does not make sense. If it’s dead, the glowing green pusstuals wouldn’t disappear like they do. The cure for the virus probably wouldn’t even work. That leviathan should come alive and escape in the endgame event, and then fight the Sea Emperor in the 3rd game.

If the Frozen Leviathan is DEAD dead then the possible explanation is this: The bacterium is one singularly connected system. The pustules are all connected to one another with something akin to a nervous system that way the bacteria can pass nutrients throughout the host body and stay alive. We know the kharaa was able to mutate the physicalities of its victims as Subnautica stated. If the games are confirmed to be in the same universe as Natural Selection then those creatures with the infection are also evidence to the kharaa being able to mutate creatures in both Subnautica games. The ability to mutate is important because the bacteria could have mutated the Frozen Leviathan post-mortem to create this internal network to ensure its survival. Not the survival of the creature, but the bacterium itself. The kharaa has been breaking down the internal everything of the leviathan to feed itself, gets sunlight through the tiny tunnel in the glacier which travels and reflects/refracts throughout the ice, and has been able to thrive until Robin uses the antidote aka anti-bacterium medicine.

Yes it’s infected but it’s separated off in a frozen block of ice, so it doesn’t really pose a risk of reinfecting the planet, and if what you said is right, eventually it would run out of biomass and die anyway, so the virus still doesn’t pose a risk, so it makes no sense to go through all this effort to cure it.

When it could break out: after you beat the game, you have a choice to go to the frozen leviathan and watch it break out.. it then would go on and destroy the rocket, leaving you stranded. This would be a different ending, called: stranded ending. In the next play through you could find the frozen leviathan roaming the land.

They get their own folder inside the game (it easy to find they are called slot 0000, 0001, and so on) so is it possible? No, BUT if you look at some other games they do find a way so you never know.

Again, I'm with you on the no back seat dev thing but like... First, I was SUPER excited when the Sea Emperors were in the game because of the virus being in the frozen Leviathan. I was super excited because you indirectly as a player remember them as babies and now they are big and protecting the planet from the virus. Then they got cut. I was really sad and confused (still actually kind of confused) as to how you would cure the frozen Leviathan. I held hope that if they were cutting creatures, old and new, that they were making space for the frozen Leviathan to have some BIG part in the game where they break free from the ice or even if it's eye just tilted down to look at you and you hear the ice settle. Something. Now that it is ALSO cut, I find it hard to want to play the new game. Al-an is pretty much the small thread that is holding it all together. But I share the pain everyone else does. So my plan would have been that Alan could take control of the Beast and with it on Allen side he could return home safely c(orrect me if I'm wrong but that is not their home planet right) what he would do with the Beast nobody would know he even could use it as a protector so alltara couldn't get back to this planet. now I know the leviathan plays a big part in the story but not even a single animation. it's kind of a waste to put that much detail into it and never use it kind of a waist if you ask me

This is heartbreaking. After seeing what they did with the Sea Empreror in the first game and how she got this whole thing with her, I was thinking the Frozen Leviathan could be similar. It is sad to see that he won't actually be free. It's such a cool idea for a break out too. He could have been sentient as well which could have brought good plot. However, not my game and only suggestions. Hopefully the weird hallucinating will be cool

@@Aci_yt if it's dead why does sam want to cure it? It poses no threat since it's frozen. It can't infect anyone. Also if it is dead, when we cure it you can see khaara on the legs dissappear. That's not possible without an alive host for the bacterium. For the cure to flow through, we need blood flow as well to get to the legs. They can say he's dead but then do a 180 at us and make it alive. Maybe it's just a marketing strategy. Guess we'll have to wait and keep an eye out for it.

See, but the frozen leviathon is not something that has to play out. The big problem with it is that, you can't have this thing moving and acting in the mainly aquatic universe with it being a land creature. It's too hard to do, to plan and imagine, and to play the game around it. And otherwise, they don't want to free it and have it disappear, because that wouldn't make anyone happy. So we should tell the devs, there's two other options. (1) The creature gets out, but a rebuilt Al-An or the satellites above the planet can immediately shoot it dead in self-defense. Then, you just have a dead stagnant corpse in the environment, not moving. With it being a frozen world, and considering the size of the creature, you can assume it is indefinitely preserved, so no need to give it a decomposing skin either. OR, the other option, (2) Have the creature escape through the crawly hole, and have it stand on the top of the ice mountain, doing an idle animation while roaring. So it roars, it looks around, it shoots fire from it's mouth maybe, into the air or at pre-defined places around the character's movable space (like how the Ice Worm moves), and then it repeats. This gives a moving creature, it is in a location the player cannot access (therefore no need to give it behaviors), and you can set up a whole quest around the idea of "this thing is too dangerous, we need to kill it". This gives the player the chance to create some sort of weapon like a rocket launcher that you assemble by scanning parts, you use parts like computer chips and titanium to build rockets, and you attack it from a distance to complete the mission. FINALLY, if you're worried about the monster being modified when you're underwater vs above water (how it sounds, etc), just treat it like the weather! The weather already only appears when you're above the water, have the creature do the same. While you're underwater, you can't see or hear it, but when you surface, there it is! If Subnautica hires me, I'll do it myself. It'll be great. But if they want to take my ideas for free, that's cool too! Here they are, take them! They're yours! Just give us our dreams!

Here’s my thoughts. Removing the emperor is a mistake it’s such a big part of the game let alone the story, they could easily bring it back as where you get the anti bacterium. They are missing out on leaving the leviathan motionless, I think that some type of flash back from al-an of the creature would be amazing or even just a simple few second clip at the end would suffice for me. And finally the void Levi, where as a new skin would be completely fine they do have the ice dragon model (as many have pointed out). As a closing I would like to say that I will wait as long as needed for the game to be perfected, I would rather wait a few extra years than get a rushed game or one with an unfinished story.

They may be tricking us, because having so much of the game center around this big boi, it would make no sense from a storytelling perspective or a gamemaking perspective. In storytelling, you can't have something this impressive and do nothing with it. you can have a deliberately underwhelming finale, but that is usually just to make a statement or to subvert the story. But having no payoff what soever doesn't leave you questioning the meaning of the underwhelming ending, it just leaves you disappointed and angry that you spent so much time on that. From a gamemaking perspective, having this massive, complicated model that took a long time to make , and you do nothing with it. They've already gone through the production of making this thing, and giving it an animation for the bacteria being cured, then why would you leave it half finished? I think the devs are deliberately lying to us because so many people have correctly guessed what was going to happen. Although, it's a massive creature stuck in ice, there aren't many conclusions to draw from that.

Aw man, I had my fingers crossed for the Emperor! That little interaction in the old story was gold and I wanted more, maybe even having Al-An facing the Juvenile Emperor to apologize. I was wishing for that... As for the Frozen Leviathan... I kind of doubted it'd break free. I mean, once it'd serve its part of the story, where could it possibly go aside from finding somewhere to die? The planet's changed a lot in an eon, and it looks like the creatures evolved to be smaller (by comparison, anyway), THIS fella hasn't. So where could this creature go? What food source could be enough be to keep it from starving? I know you could answer by saying "it disappears into the Void", but there's practically NOTHING in the Void. Sure it could hunt the Chelicerate, but that beast is HUGE and it would need to eat A LOT to keep moving.

Creatures that huge hybernate/sleep alot. And don't really eat often thanks to their digestive systems being energy conservative. A creature that huge would while hybernating seem dead with almost no heartbeat to be seen(like a beat a day or something like that or even slower) and that wouldn't be detectable in most cases. Plus creatures like that would have lifespans of thousands of years.
