forget defusing, you have 90 minutes and it can be handled, just haul it to the middle of nowhere and let it go off. if its a nuke, also have a few high-speed cameras set up. or try using shaped charges to disassemble it ahead of the anti-tamper detonation signal.

I love this game because half of it is just about having solid good communication with everyone that will effectively and quickly give people enough information to solve the module. It’s like a mental puzzle of how you’re going to communicate what you’re looking at in enough detail and most of the time it’s not something you’ve ever really had to explain before (unless you’re these guys). The manual people also have to communicate what they need but they’re only seeing a manual and need to think of what they even need in the first place. As you play the game more you’ll find more efficient ways to play by improving communication and understanding of what you’re actually doing. For this reason, this game is best played with the same person/people nearly every time. You’re never going to make it anywhere if you take someone who’s never played before and expect them to understand and communicate enough info. Even if two people that both play the game a lot play together, they may not use the same form of communication to describe things. Sometimes it’s logical enough that the other person might figure it out, but that’s up to the type of players. This game is unique because you can only improve the most when it’s as a team with the same people. It encourages close bonding and teamwork that a normal multiplayer game would never. It really doesn’t matter how good you are at something, but if you NEED another person for something but neither of you can communicate with each other, you won’t succeed.

@@ToxicKlay In these situations, communication is significantly more important than speed. If they need to spent an extra second to ensure they heard each other correctly, that trade off is completely worth it. The cost of mishearing someone is a loss. The cost of your partner going too fast and getting ahead of you is a loss. The cost of not knowing which part of your sequence your partner heard and which they're asking you to repeat is a loss. So saying "yep" every 3 numbers in exchange for maybe one or two sets being repeated is obviously worth it. This also extends to other modules as well. Note how all three of them say "thank you", "yep", "yes it is", or "got it" every time they are given information. One of the people was literally given a number after every single module, and he made sure to say "got it" every time. There were a couple times when he didn't say "got it", and the defuser repeated the number to ensure he had the information. Because again: repeating information to make sure communication is as high as possible is a completely worthwhile trade.
@ToxicKlay4 жыл бұрын
@@Ruminations09 You can do this without saying "Yup". Yup is filler. Skip it. One reads out the sequence, the other reads it back, it is confirmed. This is how it is done in actual real life situations. If you say "yup yup yup" the entire time, you're not fulfilling your obligations.

For those of you who don’t have a clue, this is from the game “Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes”, or KTANE for short. Through the steam workshop people can add custom modules (the squares on the bomb). This bomb is a modded bomb with 100 modules that need to be completed in 100 minutes or else the bomb explodes. Every time they solve a module, it is disarmed and the light turns green, and every time they mess up, they get a strike and the time counts down faster. The gray modules are modules that must be completed once activated or else the bomb preemptively explodes. The 3 people are communicating since one person can see the bomb but the other people can’t. However, the 2 other people can see the instruction manual for every module and how to disarm them. They say the stage number and another number since the final module requires you to use every number to disarm it

Of all custom modules, Forget Me Not is the most complicated because that one requires one of the experts having to write it down in order to read the correct sequence back to the defuser.

Oh, I thought that they had memorized every single puzzle and was going how?

@@-wingsofwasp- It actually makes sense that they would write down everything because certain modules require it. With Forget Me Not, there's a lot of math involved because the number the defuser gives to the expert writing it down is not the final sequence the expert will give the defuser.

@@AdderTude I meant more like memorizing how to solve and the codes for every puzzle, not the answers but undecoding? Looks incredibly hard

@@-wingsofwasp- They each have an expansive expert book that includes the vanilla modules and most of the mods.

this is so intense i love the defuser’s voice and the way he lets the informers know they’ve gotten it right: “that’s correct, thank you.”
