Geof Holmes The opening riff on the A chord was written by Geof Holmes and Ian Robert Krahe wrote the counterpoint riff on the D chord that follows it in 1975. First heard in a band called Evil Roomers when they were recorded in 1977. Krahe later used the riffs in X which added the lyrics and chorus when they wrote Degenerate Boy.
