Another element missing with passionate and creative people is lack of perfection. They need to focus on that too, Master the art of your passion, then focus and perfect it. For example if you love Baking Cakes, focus on baking the best cake in town, and also master the business of it; most customers are attracted by clean, well organized places, also focus on checks and Balances, with that you can succeed, and don't hesitate to seek help from others. Young people and older need to learn to pull each other up and not down. Above all, know who you are, love life and stand by all human values. Honesty is an element of success, truthfulness and Transparency. Corrupt people succeed but only for a while, Look at the long term goal and not something for a short while.

We decided to homeschool our children 5 years ago because of this issue. We totally lost faith in rigid education system. I believe there should be a balance in papers knowledge wise and honing of skills for a successful life but at the end of the day, everyone has their own definition of the word success.

there is a big disconnect between industry and academia..what Edwin has said is true, graduate then tarmac for 2 yrs, do a masters, feel entitled etc...academia drives people into sort of a fantasy world with a bunch of stuff learnt that is almost trivia, industry wants actual valuable input, in the form of skills and solutions to real world problems...I was in 5th yr Engineering and there is something i noticed while interacting with fundis and technicians, they may not have "fancy degrees" but their inputs are actually more valuable than those of university graduates, however for technical students , you can try to leverage the information gained in school and attach yourself to some apprenticeship of some sorts and get to learn how to actually do stuff, the right attitude to adopt is to assume your degree is just a theoritical perspective of your field, adding actual skills is another perspective, combining knowledge and skills now increases your value

How do you let someone comfortable talk on behalf of those who are in discomfort? This Olulo guy is bragging that youth want to drive Range Rover 25:12 as if that is the reason they don't work hard. People generally become stupid for things they don't have experience and Olulo is one. Then the Federation of Employers says that people have neglected to study agriculture as a subject 22:11 but Olulo says stop pursuing papers two conflicting ideas. So how do these two present an idea that isn't really affecting them?
@patiencemusera43934 жыл бұрын
True. It's not the young people's fault. Our whole world and society has failed us. Some will succeed based on talent whereas others on intellect. It's not the same for everyone. Yes the mind set needs to change but the society has failed young people too
@homesteadingwiththeangafam21584 жыл бұрын
The education system and policy makers have failed young people. We decided to homeschool so that our children can get hands on skills and at the same time, get knowledge which is useful for them.
