C3 Deyha here. Lost 3 50/50's to her (I always lose the 50/50 I have C5Jean,C5Qiqi,C4Diluc,C4Mona,C4Keqing)+ got C3 on the character event. She's BIS in my EmilieC1/DeyhaC3/FurinaC6 team core and no Xangling isn't better. I love her and kind of hope the Pyro Archon won't be better so I don't have to wish and end up with 2 characters that kind of do the same thing. But we all know Maivuka will be better.

Dehya actually has a 99.2% proc rate for Sacrificial Greatsword. Since she deals 3 instances of Skill damage in her rotations while on-field. E, E and coordinated attack. It's much more consistent than it appears.

Dehya's C1 was my freebie pick, because I've been using her fairly constantly since I first got her. She's currently Level 90, 8/8/8, R1/90 Beacon, 2pc Gladiator/2pc Vourukasha (I should swap her to Tenacity), and has 42.5k HP, 2k ATK. Dehya is a solid part of my Wriothesley Burn/Melt team with Baizhu and Kazuha, and I've been using her in a Chiori/Emilie Burn team a lot in the overworld, as well as a Xilonen MonoGeo team.

My best Dehya team is Nahida, Furina, Dehya, Jean. With all these characters in play, furina will do a ton of vape damage(especially if you have C2 Nahida); Dehya will supply constant burning, and interruption resistance; Jean(with C2) provides speed boosts, res shred, stacks for furina. and whenever you use a dehya burst, you will see furina and Dehya consistently hitting hard, my C1 furina as a sub DPS hits for 150K plus all the time with this team.

I think for new players having a character that is super easy to build and only needs her skill (no annoying ER reqs like Xiangling) is so useful. I started playing in 3.6 and my first ever 36* was in 4.2. I used Neuvillete Dehya Nahida and Kuki one side and Kokomi Furina Fischl and Kazuha on the other. I used these two teams exclusively to 36 star the abyss up until I got Navia. The first time i didn't use Dehya for 36 star was in 4.8 and 5.0. But now i have Kinich i'm using her again. I have all the standard banner characters except Diluc and she is the only one I use. I have always thought she was an awesome character and couldn't understand why she received so much hate. I have her C3 now so will be testing her on-field playstyle out in the not too distant future...

Thank you for this video, I absolutely love Dehya. I found that Dehya and Emilie (burning) core is surprisingly great, and I see it everywhere in many videos. Both their skills match up in duration almost perfectly, and Emilies lantern triggers Dehyas coordinated attacks (Fiery Sanctum) - it's as if they were made for each other. And of course I love the idea of these two girls together in a team, the loud enthusiastic, desert hardened brawler girl, and the sophisticated frilly quiet spoken town lady - imagine the stories of them adventuring side by side x3

Great guide. She's a personal fave, and my go-to best 4th team member for my hyperbloom team with key of khajnasut Kuki, c6 yelan, c2 Nahida... dehya makes the team tougher, and lets yelan vape, but she steaks some hyperblooms and burgeons them which isn't ideal since shes a pure atk/hp vorouchkas glow build. But her E hits are often 20-30k, and yelans' E vapes off her burning often hits 150k a pop on the whole spawn, in addition to 30k hyperblooms. It's my best team, not in terms of pure power, but its comfy, adaptable, tanky, and has no rotation limitations as it can perform even with no Q uptime if something gets knocked out of synch ir ER gets drained. A variety of reactions meabs every kind of shield can get shredded, and honestly most if the time i never even get around to using Yelans' c6 ocerpowred Q state. I modtly do her E superspeed stealth nukes, interrspursed with CA nukes to keep hydro up. Every character can on field in an ever adapting "rotation" depending on whose Q is up, if Yelans Q is up she gets a few seconds to do her c6 magic, then swap to Nahida so the bloom count slyrockets for Kuki to trigger. One of these days i wantbto find the perfect build for her so she still does goid damage but doeent waste her reactions with low EM. But her Beacon is SO GOOD, I'd hate to nerf her personal damage for Mailed Flower. But otherwise i LOVE her. Shes even good with Benny and Raiden on a Chevy team.

I built her a while ago as a pseudo shield unit after I got her c2, she is a very comfortable slot-in for teams. Especially Wanderer, Navia, Mulani or any team with Furina is worth considering.

A lot of the time when you want to use Dehya, you can also use c2 Xinyan. Xinyan c2 makes a level 3 shield on her burst, which is a 60 second cooldown to match Bennett burst cooldown. This burst also has a 100% crit rate, so you can run Fav Greatsword without needing crit rate. Xinyan can run any of the same artifacts listed for Dehya (the burst shield pulses with Pyro which counts as skill damage for totm) Just build defense on Xinyan since her off field pyro application requires her somewhat thin shield to not break.

I main Dehya in overload Dehya C1-Xilonen C0-Chevreus C6- Raiden C0, Xilonen replaced Benett C5. Maybe not the best possible team, but I really enjoy it. Buff with Shogun, debuff with Xilonen, buff with Dehya, burst Dehya, heal buff Chev, Burst Chev, burst Xil, burst Shogun, and again from the top. I love Dehya for survivability. She's my best for exploration, was great on Inuzuma with all that electro damage from environment and underwater in Fontain. I was also learning bosses with her, as she easily survived me sucking in dodging.

It's also a mode where the damage requirements are low, and there are often multiple enemies, which is something the AoE of her burst hits like (that AoE aspect is one of many strengths often overlooked about her kit). That said, I always save one use of mine for the final boss fight, but I'm a Dehya main, so mine is a wee bit more invested than most people's ;)

Defense is comfort in this game. All the biggest meta teams skip it for more offense. Dehya is good because she gives off field pyro in addition to the defensive capabilities. Presumably the pyro archon would have off field pyro filling the niche.

@@ISMythix not really. XL and Dehya are hardly interchangeable. Thoma and Dehya are more similar in terms of role. Like you wouldn’t do burgeon XL or reverse vape Dehya. But you would the other way around. Their kits don’t support those kind of playstyle very much. I’m only saying Mavuika might be an upgrade to XL because right now XL applies a lot of pyro off field. If Mavuika can do that especially if it’s from a skill like raiden/nahida/furina then XL has little use anymore. Unlike Dehya, you still get the defensive utility.

So more likely Mavuika moves into Xiangling's territory than Dehya's since Xiangling is used for dps + pyro application and not in the way of defensive utility. What's gonna suck if Mavuika comes with buffs is dealing with wayob manifestations. Abyss versions of enemies usually start in their ultimate form or that interaction-phase so Mavuika's gonna be with 0 energy at the start of the fight unless you are far away enough to cast burst for them.

Proud C3R1 Dehya owner here. I have never used my dehya as a suppert, been playing dps dehya since Day 1 when she was C0R1. 2 teams i didn't see you cover was Overloaded Dehya where she herself is the dps and burning Dehya dps. You did go over her being a support for clorinde overload. I use Dehya Raiden, Chevruse and benny as you can constantly proc overload thanks to raiden and dehya co-ordinating their attacks and after dehya finishes her rotation, there just enough time on benny's burst to boost raidens burst to recharge the team and deal some big dmg in the process. the other team i use is burning with Emilie, Kazu and benny. the team is a lot of off-field with dehya on field punching everything in your way. Definitely a fun dps and one i enjoy using a lot, especially once we got furina who gave a massive boost to her. Now i just need xilonen on her re-run

dehya on mulani is mostly used with burning, hard to proc 4p hero or swirl for vv/kazu for hydro, BUT if u just want a team that procs pyro consistently for mulani without energy issues but at a lower dmg, 4p dehya with deepwood sac claymore+ emilie on the burning set with zl/xilonen in 4th slot

My current favorite team: Baizhu, Emilie, Diluc, Dehya. Dehya is built on Millelith set but with high health, high attack, high crit.... Her skill coordinates attacks with Emilie's skill and Baizhu's burst, then Diluc goes to town burning everything down. I'm seeing enemies and bosses dissolve so fast, it's so much fun!!

Worth noting her elemental skill provides lesser interrupt protection for those within the field. It's pretty weak, but it is something. This is in addition to her ascension talent, which, of course, provides actually good interrupt protection ;) Plunge playstyle is a waste on her and not the best way at C0. Her plunge multipliers are low (down there at sword/polearm levels, not up there with the other claymores), so there are so many better options. Plus, a Xianyun plunge team is just that, a Xianyun plunge team, if the plunging character's kit doesn't matter. Pair her with off-field damage dealers, like Emilie instead. The team's damage matters, not the on-fielders, and there are a variety of teams that utilize off-fielders for damage that take advantage of Dehya's kit and outperform the plunge. Fontaine has just been great for adding these type of teammates for her to utilize, and Xilonen's wide-spectrum buffing is the first noteworthy Natlan addition.

Dehya is the 2nd best off-field pyro application unit after Xiangling in my opinion. And depending on who you run her with, and how frequent the pyro application has to be (looking mostly at Mualani here) the extra deffensive utility might even be better than the higher damage numbers. Also, I got her as the free standard banner 5 star in 5.0 as she was the only one I didn't have yet, and I got her to 80/90, with level 90 r5 Natlan craftable weapon. Talents 8/8/8. She's pretty decent. But I'm not really using her much. She's a good extra pick for the Imaginarium Theatre though.

Hey Jello, I see you mentioning the weapons for her on-field dmg and not mentioning the Fang of the Mountain king (Kinich wpn) I think the weapon effect could be quite valuable for her Q. Could get 4 stacks of the weapon as: E > dmg ticket + normal attack (second damage instand) + E again (3rd instance) + another normal attack (4th instance) which would give considerable dmg buff for Q + E. How do you feel about that wpn? (Or do you consider the effect to have too many diminishing returns if you also have a goblet / Furina / Xilonen who provice dmg buffs?)

You forgot about burgeon dehya. For me she is the most comfortable burgeon trigger in the game. Unlike thoma she does not sacrifice her defensive utility by build em. But let me be clear, burgeon dehya is supposed to be the support, not the main damage dealer. Her burgeons are a nice addition to an hypercarry, like neuvillette.

I have a C0 I got from the standard banner give-away since, I too have never lost my 50/50 to Dehya. I really enjoy playing with her when teamed with Emilie. I have her geared with the old go-to Vourukasha's Glow with my Skyward Pride since someone has to use it. I have a Sac Greatsword, but my Xinyan is holding it now because I was screwing around with her one day. I guess I'll switch it over. Right now I am enjoying life with Dehya, because I know she'll be reassigned to the "screwing around" teams I use in the rest of the game once the pyro archon is released.

Dehya definitely got a buff when Natlan come out, not on Jean level but still a solid option. Unfortunately for you Mualani main, Dehya is still a bad choice because your shark stack cannot trigger the E proc, so we can only effectively cook with the same old Xiangling.

There is some kind of problem when you need another characters to proc it, only Anemo swirl working for me now, even with Kazuha and Xiangling the vaporize can Miss with multiple enemies running around, I don't have Emilie so i cant test burgeon team myself, and resistance interuption doesnt really help when Mualani herself already have it.

Dehya isn't a bad choice though. You typically slot Dehya in with a dendro unit on Mualani teams like with Emilie or Nahida. Burning will already cause the next coordinated attack from dehya to trigger or it would be instigated by Emilie's own coordinated attacks. Dehya alone wouldn't be enough, but burning doesn't usually seek for high pyro application, just enough. Otherwise, another pyro applicator like Thoma fits the bill as solo pyro.

Im really glad people have been noticing dehyas strengths as of late, ever since fontaine dropped she's been gaining more and more teams where she can provide strong synergy either through her consistent pyro application for burning and overall defensive utility or her strengths as a sub-burst dps at higher levels of investment

I use her with full EM build for burgeon Neuvillete or partner with Furina, Baiju and Kazuha and the explosion she makes when the bloom explodes melts enemies...its like a nuke.

Dehya + Neuvillette forward vape is the absolute best and most consistent team. I’ll fight anyone on that.
