If you think about it. Deidara is probably the most powerful villain ever with that c4. You literally have to be a sharingan user AND a lightning nature to combat it. Imagine if he used that in the Gaara fight. He would have assassinated the entire village.

I think it's actually a huge liability to just willy nilly transplant the Sharingan onto yourself. Transplanted eyes cannot be turned off and consume way more chakra than native ones so they have to be covered up. It's counterproductive to bring such a liability upon yourself unless you can use the transplanted Sharingan well enough to outweigh the big drawbacks. There's also probably genetic combability component to the process. Kakashi is a special case because it was done out of necessity of the situation, and he was skilled and genetically gifted enough to be able to bear and use the transplanted eye.

Actually, you need to be somewhat strong just to awaken the Sharingan in the first place, that is why not every Uchiha gets the Sharingan. Besides, it is not that easy to just kill an Uchiha and take his eyes because clans members with kekkei genkai tend to stick together and protect each other. Also, it is not as if you could just walk in on an Uchiha on the street like that either. The Uchiha are basically a reclusive antisocial clan considered 1 of the noble clan of the hidden leaf... those guys had a lot of preventive measures to make sure people did not get their eyes...

One of my fav fights in Naruto. Deidara was actually one of the toughest shinobi to deal with for sure, but in this fight, he was just fighting a sharingan user (who can see all of his explosives) with a lightning style (that has advantage over earth style) ... A mismatch but he still managed to force sasuke to a point where sasuke had no chakara left to keep his sharingan activated

He avoided most of the blast by getting inside his body, letting Manda take the hit. It's a fact that Sasuke wasn't out of chakra because one of the upcoming fights literally confirms what would have happened if he was. "I don't like it" doesn't equate to "asspull".

And remember, Orochimaru comes out only because he was facing Itachi which was the only thing he wanted: the Sharingan. And also, I do like the fight because it show Sasuke’s development since the beginning of it and how he was controlling the whole fight. So you’re right, asspull doesn’t mean “I don’t like it”. And it is commonly used with the Uchiha brothers, as you may know in future episodes

Sasuke could have been standing right next to him and it wouldn't matter, both genjutsu and summoning have been shown to be instantaneous. He shows up because Sasuke is out of chakra and couldn't keep him suppressed any longer which is confirmed by three different characters; Itachi, Zetsu, and Oro (Chapter 392)

In this episode we realize how good of a warrior Sasuke is and how adaptable he is. There are two kinds of smart people....ones like Shikhamaru who are book smart on the other hand Sasuke is street smart..a real tactician...This is what I like the most about him which is his ability to find a way around anything thrown at him. Sasuke's intelligence is criminally underrated and his fights are definitely the best.

To be honest this plan was sloppy too. Deidara walked in the trap but at the end Even with the others assets Sasuke didn't have the energy to use his other ressources. Yes he is smart, yes he has plan, and stronger jutsu but his plan could've killed him, he didn't have anything to get what he was there for. Also there is a little bit of plot armor here. He didn't have enough chakra to prevent the explosion by shooting lightning or but had enough chakra to make a sumoning jutsu and a Genjustu on Manda in a matter of seconds?

Yes he was low but what makes you think that he couldn't summon a snake? When you've outsmarted someone to the point that suicide is their only hope to take you down with them when they've already lost...all you can do is escape which is exactly what Sasuke did. There was no plot armour.. everything was explained....PLOT armour is the card one pulls out when they want to discredit a character's achievements just because maybe they don't like them or for other reasons.🖖

He had others jutsu, yes, other options, he outsmarted Deidara but the cost what being vulnerable at the end. He was out of Chakra, hurted, couldn't move a muscle. *You compared him to Shikamaru right?* Well everything that happened bad with his fight against Hidan and Kakuzu was because of Kakuzu and at the end he had enough ressources to get the job done. *With Sasuke against Deidara* , everything that went south was because Sasuke decided to prove a theory in the first place. He hurted himself, more that Deidara did, he jump on a landmine he saw from the begining himself, and put himself at risk. Knew he was right, *Deidara was the adaptable one in this fight* without even knowing it. Sasuke knew everything since C2 dragon. Deidara was the one who adapted himself to Sasuke's tricks with the giant Shurikens and to the Sharingan. Sasuke knew the weakness, Deidara only knew about the Sharigan, he adapted on things he didn't know.

Logically Sasuke should've died here, he shouldn't have the ability to summon Manda and use his Sharigan to control him and all that in a split second. Because a minute before he was out of Chakra, and couldn't maintain his Sharigan, and everybody knows that if the Sharigan desactivated itself that means you out of Chakra, if you're out of Chakra that means you can't perform any jutsu. Even if we assume that, he could summoned Manda manda with a "low Chakra", a second before it was shown, he couldn't maintain his Sharigan with this same Low Chakra. Therefore he couldn't use a genjutsu on Manda. In both way it shouldn't have possible for Sasuke to escape, he was too hurted to run, nowhere tp hide because it was a 10 km radius blast, no chakra to summon manda. That part was inconsistent, therefore here the only reason why Sasuke survived was plot Armor.

I always love Sasuke's fights. He's no Shikamaru, but Sasuke has a highly underrated mind of his own. This is one of my favorite showcases of his brilliance. There are many people in the anime community who denounce Naruto as a power-level fest where there's no strategy involved. People are fully entitled to their opinions, and I can't force them to like Naruto. However, they're basing their opinion on something that is objectively wrong. This fight had so many details that foreshadowed Sasuke's entire thought process. This wasn't lazy writing where Sasuke knew something just because of author fiat. We can clearly see his thought process using all the details he explained. I love how chakra elements took such a central part in this fight. We've just had an arc dedicated to explaining it. Now that that genie's out of the bottle, the story must show more fights taking advantage of this crucial fact. Sharingan are not something you can just transplant willy-nilly. In the Land of Waves Arc, after using the Sharingan for a single fight, Kakashi was knocked out for days. That immediately gave us a baseline of just how draining a transplanted Doujutsu can be on one's body. He needs to keep his Sharingan wrapped up because he can't turn it off, and it drains far more than for a true Uchiha. Compare Kakashi to someone like Itachi. Itachi's biggest weakness is his lack of stamina (for a reason you guys know from future episodes), and Itachi could still have his Sharingan activated almost permanently. Kekkei Genkai are all powers that rely heavily on having the proper genes to support them. Kakashi, as someone without those genes, had to pay a lot to use it. Also, there's the issue with rejection. Remember how Yamato was the only survivor of the experiment to transplant the First Hokage's genes into children? You need to be lucky to survive a transplant. It's just like in real life with organ transplants. This all explains why Orochimaru wanted an Uchiha's body instead of just taking the eyes from random Uchiha. Given his power, Orochimaru could have easily taken Sasuke's eyes at any point. Orochimaru needed Sasuke's body to get full use of the Sharingan. That's all before we get into the issue of actually assaulting an Uchiha and taking their eyes. The Hyuga created a curse mark to protect their eyes. Do you think the Uchiha would have been laxer in this regard? In fact, according to Itachi Shinden, the Uchiha clan was really pissed off when Kakashi received Obito's Sharingan. Normally, the entire clan would punish anyone who'd dare to steal their gifts. Considering the Uchiha were both the police and one of the strongest clans in Konoha, there are not many who could have survived their wrath. That said, your discussion is great! No spoilers, but you guys have a great idea. My explanation just means that a person must have luck to transplant the Sharingan and that he or she can avoid the Uchiha's wrath. What would happen if all the Uchiha were to die for some reason and the survivors had no way to pursue any enemies that would steal the clan's eyes? Hmm...

The most vital thing for Sasuke in this fight was that he had the lightning nature advantage the whole time. That's why it was easier for him He could cancel all of the detonating clay. Just a bad match up for Deidara but he still put up an impressive fight while at disadvantage and left Sasuke almost with no chakra Also the most impressive thing about Sasuke was not his strength, it was his strategies and smartness he displayed in the fight. And let's not forget that Sasuke also absorbed Orochimaru and through that he gained a significant amount of resiliency, chakra and healing capabilities.

Actually sharingan can be used in multiple ways so it might seem like Sasuke isn’t using it’s full potential but that’s not true. Itachi is a strong genjutsu user which is why he uses it primarily to support his genjutsu. Kakashi uses his sharingan primarily to copy jutsu’s and support his chidori. Sasuke supports his Chidori as well but mostly uses his sharingan to ‘see the future’ and read movements/attacks. You need to focus your sharingan on something because you can’t use sharingan for multiple things at the same time. That would take too much out of you. Sasuke could use it for copying jutsu’s and genjutsu’s even though he isn’t particularly a genjutsu-user.

Not disrespecting Sasuke but the only reason he had a successful 1v1 against an Akatsuki was because of how his abilities countered everything that Deidara had. Also, for some reason Deidara weirdly decided to stay just outside the range of his lightning blade instead of flying higher. If he doesn't fly higher, Kakashi can also 1v1 Deidara, it's just that he flew higher forcing Kakashi to unleash his Mangekyo. He also has a long range lightning blade. If Sasuke had fought someone like Kakuzu, he would have needed help to withstand all his chakra natures. I can imagine a scenario where Deidara tries to explode himself when Kakashi just uses Kamui to warp him away just before he explodes.

Sasuke's genjutsu is very weak compared to Itachi's, because Itachi has the Manggekyou Sharingan, when awakening the Mangekyou Sharinggan a person will gain special abilities, such as Itachi's Skoyomi Genjutsu.
