Heaviest part of this is that just last Saturday Shedeur said during the post game news conference "I'm becoming my own man". The dad/son journey is about to come to an end and Prime is gonna have to let his boy go play without that sideline walk before the games. The last CU game of the year is going to have everyone in a pool of tears because so many of us saw this in real time.

The wealth and prosperity of HBCU’s has always been since the beginning. Deion Sanders has entered the arena at a pivotal time in history, not only from an athletic perspective but from a wholistic standpoint of championing for the whole person, mind, body, soul. HBCU’s and Black people have been continually dishonored and discounted, and unfortunately many of us have taken on these dangerous habits by not having the ability to see the nobility of who we are. This is key to ultimate success and gaining a knowingness that is unbreakable. Deion is a man working from the heart for the complete recalibration, renewing and healing of these students who are only under this JSU banner for a moment in time. He knows what the outside world is about and he also knows that there are many predators in many forms who look to host and take hold of the souls of our youth. These young men as well as these students will have lives beyond this tutelage of Sanders, staff, and the educational faculty. These young men have got to see their magnificence independent of football and solely because they are necessary, worthy and divine humans who have been bestowed an inheritance by The Most High. This assignment at JSU, is going to call a lot of habits and generalizations to task about Black men, black communities, Black mindsets, and Black Excellence. We know what that the influences of the outside world can do when you are not fortified in self awareness and self LOVE. These men have an opportunity to set precedent setting standards, values and to lead with a spiritual and emotional maturity that will seal the deal.

I think 5 players were drafted to the NFL and 2 made it to the Canadian League (not sure of the proper name)

I HAVE 😭 TEARS IN MY EYES! What an inspiration. The legs that gave him everything and his life is only half way through. To fight through what we all know is unbearable pain after two toes GONE, the nerves attached to them. The skin graphs, and the mental push that he has to give to himself in his quiet time, all alone to keep going. JESUS!

Water welled up in my eyes most of the episode, realizing/seeing some of what coach Prime had to endure... To God Be The Glory!!! I can see Coach, his staff and the players taking it all the way next year. Ima Texan but "I Believe!"

That’s how I talk to my boys, we show and express our love. That’s how fathers should be because no matter the gender of their kids they should hear that love.

I'm watching this for the 1st time, YOU can see the love, respect, and admiration they have for their DAD. The pastor at my church always tells the youth, "Look at your parents, the leg, back, or whatever physical issues they have endured was to provide for you " Don't make their sacrifices be for nothing!!

This brought tears to my eyes and heart , I know his pain because I've been through 8 serious surgeries myself . I'm very prideful and know what it's like to also be an independent person and never ask anyone for help , so keep your head up. My daughters cousin in name ❤️❤️

Does this just hit you in the heart and bring those tears ooh MY God this is so powerful as a black man it really makes you feel so type of why dang it I cried and seeing this passion and interaction. Isn't it ashamed how we have so many black young men that are in single parent families and miss out on this type of relationships. The black community has glorified single motherhood and the TRUTH IS that nothing replaces a REAL father and son bond that is blessed and whole. Ladies yes you give birth but dad a loving dad is a life and breathing needed relationship WHY DO WE DENY THIS TRUTH.???? And continue to do so.

I was in high school when Deion was doing his thing in the NFL. I kind of remember it and wasn't a big fan of his theatrics. But damn, do I love and have a lot of respect for Coach Sanders. These young men don't know how lucky they are.
