The final episode? This isn't a joke? I think I'm gonna be sick, I already miss you. God, this was a gutpunch to wake up to.

A gutpunch for sure, the dynamic between both hosts & their love of DND is infectious! I'm confused as to why the channel is coming to an end, far as DND is concerned this is a fairly successful channel, is there a reason why they're stopping?

@@maninthemirror9732 A few weeks back they released a message that said their team encountered a "irreconcilable difference in opinion on how to properly conduct business". Any more detail they chose not to share or at least I couldn't find. I think this seems to be one of those things we will truly never know why. At least we got a few years of this duo before they called it quits.

Eilistraee offers something rare among the pantheon: *Unconditional* love Even many among the good aligned deities have very strict dogma, things you must do to maintain their good graces. Eilistraee straight up still loves Drow who worship Lolth, and wants a better life for them. That is what I think makes Eilistraee so enticing. She even offers help to non Drow once in a while. Eilistraee has always been my favorite deity, simply due to her desire for *all* her "Children" to have better lives.
@17JosephLC4 ай бұрын
Also, you don’t have to be a Drow to worship her! Non-Drow Elves, Humans, and even some Dwarves have come to worship the Dark Dancer.

One of the biggest mistakes in the Drizzt novels I feel is that they never introduced Drizzt to the Dark Dancer. She perfectly aligns with him instead of Milekei.
@WhitneyAllisonGG4 ай бұрын
I actually agree. It was my main criticism of Drzzt Do Urban was that. I always thought Drzzt should had been made aware of Eilastraee and it doesn't mean he had to become a follower.
@sriley44583 ай бұрын
i was so miffed when i read those books and then read her description of " at some point every drow feels her call " meaning Drizzt would have too, I thought maybe it was his connection to Guenhwyvar and if i rememeber some events happen in the book where he goes to the surface drawing him to Mielikki but still. He's not a woman but his class is ranger so it doesn't really matter he wouldn't have needed to be a sword dancer anyway.
@sriley44583 ай бұрын
she also calls drow to the surface and his whole journey is about leaving the underdark and not being a dick so its too perfect
@koonfoxmusic14723 ай бұрын
ive heard that this is due to intellectual property disputes between salvatore and ed greenwood. theres people at wizards of the coast who hate the idea of "good drow" and especially a goddess who breaks their mould. or they were being controlling in general with ed greenwoods lore and they had problems... so they pretended she had nothing to do with drizzt. theres a lot of debate with cited references around the interwebs.

To explain her power level with her lack of followers, I had to make Eilistraee the consort of Rilifane Rallathil, the sylvan elf god of stealth, survival and wood elves, who is also a lesser god and one of the few chaotic neutral elven gods. That gives her as many wood elf worshippers as dark elf worshippers, if not more.
