After playing for about 8 hours. Three things: The gameplay is smoooth. I don't know how you did it, but BRAVO!, The aim point for the guns is a bit wonky and the gunplay itself is wonky, but I'm getting used to it. The third and MOST major thing I have is not being able to cycle through ship system after targeting an enemy ship. Other than that. This mod list is AMAZING.

@@Rockr69747 the targeting was fixed today! check out my announcement in the discord for a quick fix or replace the hotkeys folder from the one on the website installation page :D the aiming will probably be fixed in v7 with crozzbow's weapon overhaul :D

@@DeityVengy didn't fix the targeting. I've tried it twice. I did notice my player speed was a lot slower after dropping in the "fixed" hotkey folder, so it changed something. Just not my problem and I can't get any sight to work with any of your guns. That being said, that shiny silver laser pistol is a SEXY BEAST!. Finally a decent blaster to compliment my "laser sword and hokey religion" Ship stealing is my main economy so it being broken is a major bummer for me.

In order to play both versions, I copied pasted the current version of Starfield in my C drive to another drive and then downloaded Genesis v6 to the other drive also. Now I have two versions of the game, one that I can mod as much as I want and will update to shattered space, and another that stays my Genesis copy/version. The only thing you need to keep track of when playing each version is your documents > mygames folder since both games will write to the same files. I just make copies that I switch between.

Just a tip: Make jetpack RARE, but optainable with a known shortcut. It's an OP stuff not fitting the lore and pre gameplays. Running everyone with a JP is like giving civilians blasters and any random hero a lightsaber.

Hey, wanted to provide idea how to make Genesis more of as legit standalone Star Wars story The premise I have is based more on SW Legends lore, but could be fitted in canon as well: What if what we see in the game is the imperials colonising Unknown Regions? - Main faction could be Empire of the Hand, a colony started by Admiral Thrawn, that had lost contact with the rest of Imperial Remnant? -New area front the expansion could be basically Chiss planet - Ryujin Industries and their planet could be remaining offices of Old Republic Czerka Corporation expansion initiative, which was isolated for last 1000 years and unaware of changes in central part of the galaxy - Freestar Rangers could be descendants of Old Rep settlers, running away from constant Sith/Jedi wars? Or maybe colony of local species from Outer Rim, like Twilleks? Give it a thought, if you see it :)

Corey Loses, who is part of the team that works on Thrawns Revenge, Fall of the Republic, and currently Revans Revenge for EAW is interested in basically anything star wars. He even did a starfield playthrough a year ago

@@djducati7876 I prefer doing all the managing myself to make it simple but there's a bunch of volunteer projects available in my discord and other star wars authors not related to Genesis who will still keep creating mods. Starfield modlists are really fragile and also hard to version control, so it would just make it harder if it was a team instead of me doing the changes to it, especially due to the huge knowledge gap required for it

sith empire is separate from the empire and is what the emperor is apart of. vader/luke's existence is left ambiguous for now

@@hankstorm3135 multiple people managing a modlist would be a disaster so no. but anyone's free to fork off from a version of Star Wars Genesis, make their changes to it, and publish it with a different name. it's open source that way

@@DeityVengy of course you have to be very clever and cautious to manage such a thing properly. but i mean i saw you do map edits on stream. in theory any one could do that. leave you time to deal with the mod list :) like the project skyblivion is also done. any one can chime in and provide meshes etc. i know such a thing is not easy at all and requires a whole other skill set i don't have either. so i don't expect it or anything. just an idea, food for thought.

@@hankstorm3135 oh well yeah i already do have countless volunteer projects available on the discord that people help out in (such as the swtor suit i mentioned in the video). plus the other star wars modders unrelated to genesis are still making mods. technically anyone can do the map edits buit i waited for months for a new atlantis overhaul from anyone on nexus and no one made one so i had to do it myself xD i did make it look much simpler than it is too tbh. there are volunteers that are porting over meshes for me too

i just don't understand why studios don't hire modders like you and the ones who made the star wars saga mod for insurgency sandstorm to make an official star wars game instead of the team that made outlaws. you guys deserve to be paid because the work you all do puts "official" releases to shame.

to be fair, I don't think developer skill is the problem these days. many of these official projects are just mismanaged from the top and the devs simply do what they're told. and 90% of the time they don't have a proper vision or fail to understand Star Wars
