Will never forget when i randomly found this in 2003. A track that hits certain people deep down in their soul... it was on repeat for years for me, and I couldn't understand why others didn't feel the same way. Glad to know there are people out there that get a similar connection that I do, even 20 years later. Delerium, Jael, it might be a song that got lost into the ether of music, but I am one of many that's forever effected, and grateful for it!!!

I discovered Delerium in 1995 while in the hospital at the age of 15. I was there for a month and Delerium played all the time on Much Music. I became a lifelong fan. I'm happy to have seen them twice in Toronto with Kristy, Leigh Nash, and Elsieanne doing all the vocals.

After we invaded Iraq, we were finally going home on a commercial jetliner. I remember leaning back in my seat with the free airphones on and realizing I was finally going back home to my wife. As we took off, I just turned the radio on and this song was playing. I always associate it with happy and melancholy thoughts. Happy because I was headed home, and sorrow for absent friends.
@TheSniperGTO3 жыл бұрын
@Frans Delt No it wasn’t. It could have been ha died better, but the invasion wasn’t a”war crime.” That’s just leftist, idiotic propaganda. The things Sadaam Hussein and his sons and regime did, those were definitely war crimes.
@TheSniperGTO3 жыл бұрын
@Frans Delt No oil was stolen. It was enumerated countless times that the oil belonged to Iraq. They even tried to pass legislature to siphon SOME profits from the oil production to offset the cost of the war until it was paid for, and that got voted down. There were tons of chemical weapons that were evacuated to Syria, where they were used by Bashar al Assad against his own people. Those are considered WMDs. No nuke’s were discovered if that’s what you are referring to, but then again we never expected to find any nuclear weapons. As for the civilians killed, there are civilians killed in every war. I’m sure your countrymen were glad to have some innocents killed in the crossfire if it meant getting rid of the nazi regime. Since I’ve spent a lot of time in the Middle East, including Iraq, and have personally talked to many civilians, most were glad to get rid of the Hussein Regime at the cost of some civilians. Those who didn’t were Sunni Muslim supporters of the regime, mostly up North, and hardcore Shia in the south, around Basra, who had ties to Iran and wanted to implement Sharia law in the entire country.
@femmefatale13773 жыл бұрын
So you killed people's wives and kids, and went back to your own wife. Irony! If they're arab, it doesn't mean they have no feelings, moron.
@TheSniperGTO3 жыл бұрын
@@femmefatale1377 I didn’t kill any wives of kids. I think you are confusing me with Sadaam’s regime. He and his sons and their party killed and raped quite a lot. Just ask any Shia Muslim down South. You should probably take time from shaving one side of your head, dyeing your hair purple, and take a break from you Gender Studies and Feminism classes to learn some facts,
@TheSniperGTO3 жыл бұрын
@Frans Delt I’m in full agreement on Biden and Afghanistan. I didn’t vote for him or his party. I will even agree that some facets of life are worse now in Iraq. Many however, especially for the Shia in the South, are much better.
