DELETED Engineer Dialogue in Opening Scene TRANSLATED in the Script

In todays video I’ll be covering the translation of the opening dialogue between engineers that was unfortunately deleted from Prometheus. In the theatrical version, we only whiteness a lone Engineer approaching the waterfall.
Music: Atlantis by Audionautix • Atlantis - Audionautix
However in the blu ray edition, multiple Engineers participate in the sacrifice ceremony. This deleted scene may be the most important scene in the franchise but there is a deeper hidden layer it. The Early Prometheus script actually has a dialogue between Engineers in this scene that reveals a few mysteries from the movie.
This extended conversation between Engineers only appears in the ealy Prometheus script and it was removed even from the blue ray deleted scene.
This extended opening with the translated dialogue sheds light on the Engineer mythology and the reasons they created humanity and later decided destroy it.
I always felt like engineer scenes were unusually short as if the production team really wanted to edit them out for some reason.
However, the deleted material explains some of the Engineers actions and motivations in the movie that otherwise would seem confusing.
The following passage is taken from the Early Prometheus script that was highly edited by the studio and as a result many enginners scenes and dialogues were unfortunately cut. However this early script can still be found online and it even appears in the official Prometheus documentary.
The box that the elder Engineer has in the script is actually a cup or a bowl that has a smaller cup with a gold ish liquid inside. The elder engineer referes to it as the blood of our lord which is later revealed in the script to be the blood of the first deacon, a god like creature portrayed on the mural that the Engineers worshiped.
When Prometheus crew entered the temple, we can barely see the obscure craving on the wall depicting a xenomorph like creature that is actually an ancient Engineer diety that they were trying to resurrect.
In the movie, right in front of the deacon mural, we saw a green crystal, however instead of this crystal, there was suppose to be the bowl from the beginning of the movie, the same bowl that contain the blood of the Engineer lord, the first deacon. There are a few behind the scene photos with this bowl instead of the green crystal and this bowl also appears in the trailer, confirming that the deacon and its blood were supposed to play a much bigger role in the movie.. However, because the studio decided to cut out the Engineer storyline all major elements related to engineers were removed or replaced.
So who is the first deacon, why Engineers considered this creature their lord why its blood allowed them to create life on other planets and procreate? Let’s first answer these questions before we review the rest of the deleted scene.
The Elder Engineer also says “For we cannot create as the gift was stripped from us long ago.” referring to the fact for some reason Engineers lost their ability to reproduce, which brings us to the most interesting part of this video.
To fully understand what the elder said and answer these questions we need to look into the Prometheus documentary that actually explain the entire history of Engineers and their complex relationship with humans.
The official Prometheus documentary also reveals why Engineers lost their ability to reproduce. For a few seconds the documentary show somethings called the master narrative that not only clarifies the engineer lore but also explains why engineers created humanity and why they potentially decided to end it.
By looking at the master narrative, this is what we are able to read
Their civilization meaning the Engineers civilization is millions of years old.
Once Engineers expressed themselves as humans do, taking pleasure in music, color and story, but they’ve long since learned to see in more dimensions than we do. Their arts and ornaments exist on planes imperceptible to human senses. Their constructions look dark and grim to us, but the Engineers’ eyes see far more than our own.
From the alien master narrative, we learned that Engineer lost their ability to reproduce because they started procreating with technology and eventually their biology changed to the point that they could not reproduce naturally..Which is the reason they had to use the blood of the first deacon, their version of God to create new life and procreate.
The early script explains who the first deacon creature was but before we get to it, let’s review the rest of the deleted opening scene.
In the opening sequence Engineers created humanity using the blood of their God, which brings a questions who was this deacon deity that is also portrayed on the mural.
In the scene when the crew enters the temple David translates Engineer writings on the walls and reveals the translation to Weyland.

Prometheus needs to be rereleased, with all the original ideas reinstated, new footage, new scenes, perhaps different ending, even if it is 4 hours long, it should be called "Prometheus - the original story". This will bring the franchise back.

I can think of no other film being made so much less interesting through it's editing process. So bizarre. There were so many cool and unique ideas and they just straight up removed 95% of them. It's no wonder the series fizzled out. They just weren't allowed to take risks and the risky moves were the only reason that they wanted to do it in the first place.

So as i understand it in chronological order in regards of the black goo. -The intro scene of Prometheus play millions of years before humanity. At that time the Engineers still had the pure blood of the first deacon that allowed to seed life on planets. -Millions of years later the blood ran out and they tried to reverse engineer it. But instead created an agressive pathogen that impregnates and creates monsters from life forms. -This may be the reason why David destroyed the Engineer outpost/settlement on Planet 4. He realized the Engineers where as faulity/violent as humans (judging by their creations) and destroyed them with their own weapons.

The whole Engineer arc of Prometheus was by far the most interesting and engaging part of the film. It was an awesome opportunity to really broaden out the Alien universe. I agree with everyone else who commented that the studio really dropped the ball when they edited out these aspects of the production. I was hoping for the longest time that the sequel was really going to follow Shaw and David to "Paradise" and we would have been exposed directly to the Engineer culture. Alas, no. What we got was the Covenant deleted scene "The Crossing" and the 20 second flashback clip that showed David's genocidal attack on the "sort-of-Engineers" on the planet. You never know, we might yet get to see more of this story line IF Ridley Scott ever gets to produce Alien Awakening...but don't hold your breath.

I agree with your comments, however... there are some fundamental points in this film which were supposed to reflect reality or the ancient past, which were ignored. By this I refer to the part where it is stated that the problem of the creation of the engineers is that humans were 'too violent'... unfortunately this isn't based in reality or at least from the texts that Scott used as reference, for if he read the old testament 'properly' or if he had read the enuma elish or the epic of gilgamesh 'properly' (which is where he got the idea of the Engineers in the first place - aka Enki 😀), then he would have found that the gods were more violent than their creation (aka Enlil / Yahweh). If we take the biblical point of view which copied the ancient Sumerian texts, we can see that in the old testament, Israel's first king Saul was removed because he was not violent enough, as he did not genocide all the women, children and babies as requested of him by the god Yahweh. So I'm not sure how or why Scott used this particular approach. Could it be that he wanted to make a completely different narrative? I agree, had there been more background and information to these scenes it would have made the story much more interesting. Although it is a science fiction movie, the foundation of the characters is clearly based on the ancient engineer Enki of the Annunaki (noted in the ancient Sumerian texts - as it is quite obvious to anyone who studies ancient history), it is strange for these scenes to have been deleted and the statement that humans are 'too violent'... I just find that statement absurd when taking ancient history into consideration... and yes, even for a science fiction movie... If Scott used ancient historical foundations to create a narrative (which he did, its really obvious), then at least use the entire story rather than cherry picking bits out of it and twisting the story to something different. This could have been an absolute block buster movie, but it was a complete flop and most of the film was particularly boring.

What would be the point of mainstream culture to produce a movie that would potentially provoke viewers into exploring topics like ancient history, myths, religion, creation of life/humans etc. This opening scene holds strong reference to ancient sumerian creation story of humans. @@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep Comics in general are never canon of anything, they are always made by different people making up crap as they go. Sort of like TV show series each episode different writer, production and director so you get great ones and things that don't make sense or lets say doesn't even matter. If you can read the books, other then that comics are a joke and movies as you can see stripped down heavily too almost pointless. As for the topic in general. What is being said in this video it's not news to me at all. All this is taken from our own human history so when I seen just those oddball short incoherent scenes in the movies with zero dialogue and barely any action it was still all clear to me what they are doing since I know all this decades before this movie even existed from real historic sources, from long before and was reading between the lines while watching the movie, so to speak ... The thing is maybe someone was well aware wtf are these people making of this movie and decided to cut it since in reality our human history is kept secret by Vatican itself and what is given vague and obscure in nature. You have to dig deeper. And seems like who ever wrote this script was digging more then it should or lets say more then their corporate scum and Elites allow for them to reveal. Part of what is shown here is also mentioned in the book of Nemesis if I remember is correctly it is named that way. I am not talking about the Bible version of it but an older script which goes into further details. Human type made from a clay bowl by an alien aka ancient ruler. With other words some of us were made as clones in a lab in a lab bowl of the old true humans, as it is also said in Christianity that humans were made in likeness of God himself. That is also maybe why we are quite weak too, since we are a incomplete clone. And it's possible that there are much more complete ones out there. Related to this keep in mind also that some humans have powers or lets say abilites that others don't so they might be the ''true blood'' clones. Some people can look into up to above 10th dimension and do marvels. Just like the ancients did. We everyday humans are brainwashed since we are little, our brain corrupted by garbage data so we only can do 3 dimentions some 4, 3 dimentions is full vision the 4th is good hearing, 5 is devine hearing then there is that so called 6th sense where you don't see nor hear something but on a spiritual level feel some presence and everything above that is pretty much superhuman abilities ... tapping into dimentions a regular human can't see nor hear nor feel. All this is in basic manner mentioned even in this video alone. It's evident that who ever worked on these scripts was digging through old history.

It activates the mind, and even though it provides answers, it actually creates even more of a mystique. It's also interesting that their intention was too create life, but the experiment failed. I think it's important to flip the script on Hollywood films that most often seem to present Aliens as a threat. Finally, it also activates one's spirit in a way, it has a kind "good" spiritual vibe. This whole thing makes it clear that Scott has spent a great deal of time pondering all the info out there on possible Alien interaction with Earth throughout the ages

Thats why i love Prometheus. I know alot of people dont like it but i love it. I also know there were alot of holes in the story though. So much was taken out that should've just been left in. Just look at the deleted scenes. They could've helped so much. And thats a disappointment. Or all the dialogue changed or taken out also. This storyline can be incredible. In Alien Covenant, which i enjoyed but know that it has issues, I loved the Engineers city. But was very disappointed when the actual Engineers scene lasted only like 30sec. I was so excited for the continuation of the Engineers but i bet we'll never get it now. Shit just imagine a series on the Engineers. I think for us that dig Prometheus it would be the best choice. If only LOL. But when i hear all u experts talk about the new studio decisions, directors, etc. I sometimes do think maybe down the road something will happen

This lore is fascinating and there’s so much more that can be built around it in a philosophical sense. I would love to see a series of movies exploring this: the deep history of engineers, the loss of their ability to procreate naturally in their attempt to reach immortality, creating humans in an attempt to rectify their mistake, humans failing the engineer test and deemed unworthy (this could tie in with the Christ idea - the engineers sent or placed Christ on the earth as a test and humans made the choice to kill him instead of embracing him)
@Imperial_Cosmonaut
@Imperial_Cosmonaut Жыл бұрын
You miss the entire point of Christ: he/God incarnate HAD to be sacrificed for humans, it's the very thing he incarnated into a man for; we cannot be perfect like him/God, so it's not that we should be like Jesus--that's not the point of the his teachings. It was God's own sacrifice to end the prior human sacrifices we made in the name of false gods. Basically, if we trust in the sacrifice God made for us, it connects us to God instead of attempting to connect to God through killing/"magic spells"/rituals, etc

This so called "Draft script" is the "Draft No# 17 Orange revision" and *has been PROVEN to be a fake fan edit script.* The fan in question, who put it together clearly took some pieces from the early Prometheus script images shown in the documentary "The Furious Gods" and edited them into his own work. This script appeared after the publication of the Blu-ray extended material, which includes The Furious Gods documentary. Damon Lindelof himself has stated that this script is fake in a Twitter post. *Please do your research before believing the unsupported theories of this channel.*

Great breakdown of a pivotal scene that would have explained a lot. In the Scott-verse the potential explanation for the reasons for life throughout the Universes is still a great way to begin the tale. As humans our own origins are shrouded in mystery, and only hinted at through myth and legend. I love a good story, it's a shame they hamstrung the premise of the originally conceived storyline, leaving us to wonder about the story as a whole.

1) You should create a playlist of all these videos, in the most logical order, as a way of promoting all the videos that you have done on this topic of the lore of these Alien prequel movies. 2) I have watched most/all of your Alien prequel videos. 3) Without your explanations, I found both Prometheus and Covenant to be incomprehensible garbage, with a lot of metaphysical nonsense. Your videos have helped to explain both the intent and the actual content. 4) It seems like they hired some Christian dungeons & dragons cosplayers to write the script, and then told them to go hog-wild. 5) I have to say that the more I know, the less interested I am in the entire concept. 6) The Christian scholar Bart Ehrman, in the Great Courses / Teaching Company lectures, talked about the Gnostic gospels that are not included in Christianity, but which were part of the original variants of Christianity, and he said that perhaps it is the case that people are more likely to appreciate the Gnostic gospels from afar, because there is a lot of lore and details, which have no payoff outside of the most esoteric of knowledge. (the detail of the Gnostic gospels are not philosophical, and they do not contain truths about human nature or psychology, or anything else) 7) I understand why someone would make a movie like American Pie or Dumb and Dumber, because you can pass the time and maybe have a laugh or two, but I really have no idea why someone would write and film this kind of fake spiritual navel-gazing mythology with this kind of budget. This is some Scientology level storytelling here. 8) The critical Drinker excoriated both Prometheus and Covenant, for reasons tangentially related to my points, and he was right on target.

So God took that from them after they had fallen. It sure seems that Ridley Scott was trying to bring in first parts of genesis without actually stating it directly. Maybe it was to reduce religious teachings, but sure seems like he accidently tried to main stream it. B I too wish he could have made the. Movie he wanted to.
