Absolutely love the way you cook! My Grandmother allowed me to spend a lot of time in the kitchen with her helping and observing the way she did things. As a child it was the very happiest time of my life, (I'm 74 years old} Those memories are still fresh and wonderful, every time I go in the kitchen to cook something that she did, fond memories flow over me and it is a comfort like no other. Aside from the actual product you are presenting, Thanks for re-stirring the memories !!

Hi, Ms. Mae Mae! wow, that baked boston butt looks amazing! I have never used Nalty or the Tone's six pepper mix, but they look good. Browning the sides is a very important step to give it flavor, I think. I like that you added bay leaves, too. Those add great aroma and flavor. Wow, that roast turned out great. When you cut into it, it looks so moist and tender. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. You are right that sometimes people don't like to share their recipes, so thank you for teaching us. Thanks for sharing!

You are so welcome, I have used many different butt rubs and Nalty rank high for me the flavor and salt content, that allows you to put other Herb's and spices you know that will enchanted the natural flavor of the meat. I love sharing with positive minded chefs like I Parnell😅 thanks for watching I appreciate it, have a great weekend 😊🙏🏿

Hi! Mrs Mae,Mae you should show how you sear your Boston Butt because some new cooks don’t know all the cooking terminology that the old cooks used and these chefs. I love watching you cook it reminded me of my grandmother, mother and aunt when they cooked the smells and odors lingering in the kitchen and over the house I just remembered those smells just like yesterday. I definitely like your seasonings I have put slits on the bottom and top and put season in the slits too. I would have like putting that butt on the grill. Keep cooking and be safe.

Miss Mae Mae, I just found your channel a couple days ago and have already watched a few of your videos and subscribed...you are such a delight to watch you cook and everything looks so delicious and that's what makes food so wonderful because it's made with much love! I'm about the same age as you and cooking for my family and friends has brought much joy to my heart, same as you, because it's all about love, love, love❤️. I'm curious about the vinegar you sprinkle on top...does that help the process of the meat fibers to start breaking down for the luscious tenderness of your Boston Butt or do you use it for purposes of flavor? Thank you for sharing! I always share, too, because that's all part of love...those who won't share are crazy...why would someone want their recipes to disappear when the Lord calls them home because you live on through many things, including your cooking! God Bless and thank you for wonderful deliciousness...I'm making your Boston Butt shortly🤗

@@MaeMaesHappyTable Hello, Miss Mae Mae, so good to hear from you! I am looking forward to watching your many cooking videos and making them! I think you mentioned you hadn't been doing this for too long and was a little hesitant at first and so glad you decided to go ahead and do it. My mother taught all of us to cook and bake. She was such a fantastic cook and very creative in the kitchen, especially in her baking. At Christmas, she always baked so many delicious cookies, breads, cakes, and her pies were out of this world (pie crusts always made from scratch!). My dad had a big sweet tooth and we had dessert every night. As we girls got older in our teens, we had a one-week rotation, shall we say, to be responsible for dessert, our choice, and she was beside us in the kitchen every step of the way while we were baking, teaching and guiding us in the world of sweets!

Mom always made one with 1/3 head garlic sliced in half stuffed in random slits in the meat, salt, black pepper, 4 yellow medium onions, and 1/4 water. Cover with foil, slow oven 325°F til done. Drain juices to make your gravy, mashed potatoes, salad, and a veggie. She would always make a dessert.
