When coming into Nova Scotia be sure to stop at Masstown Market where you will find, local fresh food, restaurant indoors, NSLC, bakery, dairy and deli bar, gift shop, garden centre and The Fish Boat is open late spring into the fall I believe. They also have a butcher and creamery across the street. A must stop for sure :)

Over 60 years ago family used to have corn boils out at Rainbow Haven. What an interesting video it would be to see where Sydney Crosby grew up as that was a very depressed area back in the day. Yet I hear it has all gone very trendy and upscale. Goodness that's a huge switch if so. Eastern Passage used to be one blink and you missed it! That combined with a look at Rainbow Haven would be so interesting if you wouldn't mind please! The sand dunes on the road to Rainbow Haven are a treat too! 🌈👋🙂

Another cute town (village) that's close to Lunenburg and Mahone Bay is Chester. It's known for looking a lot like New England. There's also a world renowned sailboat race that happens there every summer called RaceWeek. People from out of country come to participate! If you like to golf there's a nice course across the water from Lunenburg which gives you a perfect view of the town (literally every picture of Lunenburg you've seen). Lot's of amazing restaurants there, but if you want something affordable AND delicious try The Knot. A charming little pub with a unique interior. It's a local favorite.

In Nova Scotia the latitude may not determine the weather. Cape Sable and Barrington and also Sable Island though the later no one goes or is miles out are far south for the province yet freezing cold. Sydney Cape Breton has far higher daily high temperatures in spring and summer as well as Cheticamp and Ingonish. Yet northern Nova Scotia is changeable and can get frost later at night while giving warm days. Yarmouth though not that cold and milder on average does not get as hot as the hottest days in Cape Breton will regardless to the averages even in March April and May -yet Cape Breton gets the odd March or April fluke snowfall that affects the averages and it can drop at night yet on warm days it climbs above coastal areas much further south. I can tell you that as I live in Nova Scotia and see what the weather does on the internet in different places over many years now.

@@DelightfulTravellers The two most well known would be Rushton's near Tatamagouche and Waterside closer to Pictou. Two smaller ones that the locals and cottagers use would be MacDonald's Cove by Seafoam Campground (also near the Lavender Farm) and the beach at the Toney River wharf.

They also have a canteen, restrooms with showers, picnic tables, playground (in campsite area) and of course the best waves for boogie boarding :) There is also a beach a couple minutes away called Crescent Beach where you can DRIVE your vehicle directly onto the beach and have a picnic right out of your vehicle :) A secret Im willing to share (hidden gem)there is a cute ice cream/take out restaurant around the corner from Rissers. Its called Macleods Canteen in Green Bay, an absolutely beautiful spot after leaving the beach to head here for an ice cream or onion rings etc. Also the water here is WARM shhhhh.... Great vlog again guys, thank you, so much valuable info about NS. My husband and I can't wait to get our craft beer on there when we can, lol! Also, I hear that your bubble may be back on July 1st, great news just ahead of Trevor's birthday. Fingers crossed 🤞 for that for you all!

Calgary is much better. Calgary has the fastest growing tech, finance and film industry. Recently Tech giants Infosys, Mphasis and RBC has made announcements about their headquarters or offices in Calgary. Many Hollywood companies are filming moving in Calgary because of its proximity to mountain 🏔, skyline 🏙 and lakes all they need. Calgary is also world’s cleanest and most livable city. Calgary is also sunniest city in Canada. I am already seeing some of my friends and family members who work from home moving to Calgary from BC or ON. We will see more of this trend in coming years

You should try ronnies pizza from dartmouth he always finishes in the top 3 for donair contest. He has his own spices and his meat flavor is great.

Loved all this! The craft beer and wine here is so good. Baddeck was mentioned shortly and I want to emphasize what a cute village it is! I love Baddeck, it's a gem. The Alexander Graham Bell museum is a fun indoor/ rainy day activity for kids. I want to try tubing down the Margaree River this year, it's apparently so fun!

Baddeck is amazing! We planned to film a video on it but it just didn't happen last summer. Maybe this summer! Tubing in Margaree sounds fun. We both just lol'd at your Insta DM 😅 - Anna

@@DelightfulTravellers interesting story; I went to Disneyland yesterday. Boy are they different! no Trams so you had to walk over a mile from the parking lot to the park entrance; had to wear a mask the whole time you are on property. you had to use the Disney app to order food, queue up for rides...very different experience!

Would love to explore Halifax/Nova Scotia during the summer or Fall. I did make it to Halifax once during Winter for a work trip. I didn’t have much time to look around but I was able to squeeze in a visit to the Pier 21 Immigration Museum.

I grew up in the Annapolis Valley (former Apple Blossom Princess here!), I left for the West many many moons ago but never stopped missing the ocean. I bought a little house on the South shore in 2020 but haven’t been able to see it in person because of the shutdown. Hoping, hoping, hoping that I can come see it in August. 🤞 FYI: My favourite beach was Rissers Beach. 🏖 🌊
