So I work for ups as a pre loader and the way we load up the trucks is by a sticker called a pal…. For example let’s say the pal reads 13L-1738 . 13L- signifies the truck into where the package should be loaded . 1738- is where the package should be placed whether it’s the shelve or the floor depending on the dimensions and weight of the package. So the shelves are numbered from 1K-8K . I assume this is similar as to how FedEx does it ?
@DeliveryprosАй бұрын
@@Hectorxss ya I have a video about that. It’s almost exactly the same. Our shelves are 1000-8000 and my truck number is 224. So my sticker reads 224-1001/2001/3001 etc.

You may be the only person on youtube that does not make this job out to be more complicated than it is. Not for nothing, this is a pretty good gig if you do other things on the side. Im considering leaving my current job to do fedex ground in my town and then coming home to work on my ebay store and continue recording podcasts.

There’s way too much heavy stuff nowadays for everyone, the job feels the most physically exhausting it’s ever been for me, not as bad as peak season but kind of close. Oh well, at least I get paid kind of good, been there for 5 years now

@@shroomhopper14 I’ve heard that FedEx is trying to become to go to delivery service for big items since they get the biggest payouts on those. They’re going to need to start paying us per pound….

I’m starting next week FedEx ground coming off from Amazon. So what I expect is bigger and heavier packages for sure. But I don’t mind I rather do that carry bag that feels empty to 12 floor 😅. I live in California in Amazon my last routes where in Oakland,ca and in the FedEx my recruiter told me they’re in Marin county which I been there with Amazon way better to be delivering there. I hope is a win win situation for me

whats that strap on your scanner, aint ever seen that before
@DeliveryprosАй бұрын
@@bastard4718 it’s just a strap on the back that I love to use. Some guys use a holster to stow the scanner on body til their hands are free to use it, I just flip the scanner to the back of my hand on the strap, then carry boxes, and flip it back to my hand when my hands are free. It’s faster and easier in my opinion

@@mackjenkins7721 thanks Mack! It takes me about 10 minutes to get to and from work on the board which is only 2 or 3 minutes more than the drive used to take me. I’ll keep working on videos, but three KZbin channels is hard to keep up with 😂
