But this guy knew what he was doing and almost got away with it. An article came up from prior to 2017. But all were men killed and with a gun on a creek trail !! A man was charged with 2 or 3 out of a total 6 or more. Not enough evidence for the others. He is in a mental institution , no trial yet.

Why is it so hard for some to realises how easy it would be for a full grow man, no matter how short is is, to overpower two teen-aged girls? Even if he had no weapons they are more that likely to obey him. To young people, adults are an authority figure and most kids don't want to get it trouble. If a man had walked up to them one evening on a car-park (parking lot) and said, " girls go home it's late," most would walk towards home. Only a rare few would protest. So you throw in a weapon and you have complete power. Right until the end those poor girls would've believed that if they comply to his demands they would been let go. There was only one man involved and it looks like it was very probably RA.

1:35:07 - When he provided that alibi, the video had not been released. Without the video, his safest bet was volunteering that he was there. People saw him. What if they recognized him as the guy from CVS and the cops notice that CVS-guy is the only person who didn’t come forward? Besides that, it’s EXTREMELY common for killers to come forward as witnesses to their own crime. After they initially get away, they’re sitting at home in a mad panic. They’re expecting the banging on the door to happen any second. Every phone call has gotta be the police. Once they calm down and begin to think they may have gotten away with it, it’s actually soothing for them to just contact the police themselves. They are desperate to look into the eyes of a cop and to see if they reveal any suspicion. When they are allowed to walk away from the interview, they feel much more confident that they have a chance at getting away with it.

With the leaks coming out of the sheriffs office, small town rumours, he might’ve heard they had some kind of evidence. So he came forward as it would seem less suss than if he didn’t admit he was there. He was hiding in plain sight. And with the way his parents & wife are backing him, even if they suspected Richard, they’d never say anything. I haven’t followed much of the case since it happened n only watched this coverage of the trial. He’s guilty. Too many coincidences for it not to be him.

You’re doing an amazing job under very difficult work conditions. It’s amazing how many people are convinced a person is innocent or quilty before we know the small details. It was very interesting to learn how RA increased his height by 2” soon after the murders, how detectives looked into his fishing license history, how he had 15 cell phones at home but the one used in 2027 was missing, what the hell is his obsession with knives, and the investigators not recording his saying “… its over’. It also doesn’t matter what the rest of us think about his innocence or guilt once we have heard all the evidence. It’s what the jury decides that will be the legal decision.

@bethysbarn2 ай бұрын
That’s a good idea! I’d never thought about a hunting platform or something in the area nearby that he might have used to watch the area before or store things at cuz I thought someone said years ago there’s a few things like that in the woodlands where the locals shoot deer at a certain time of year or whatever it is, I’m in the UK and don’t hunt at all so I’m clueless 😂 but the hunting supply store is really close apparently and they do have a lot of hunters in the area so that’s a great thought! Where better to hide those sorts of things that if you were a murderer you would never want found at your house?! Even if he only stashed his phone and the knife there! If you had even an ounce of intelligence you’d ditch that knife and phone asap and burn the clothes and buy the same ones again to be able to produce them when asked where the clothes you wore that day were and you’d bring nothing home, this guy having one bullet that matched the crime scene one in a keepsake box makes me wonder if that’s the one trophy that he actually allowed himself to keep at home and then he also switched ammo brand cuz he couldn’t find the one he dropped at the crime scene maybe? 🤔 who knows?! I hope they have more substantial evidence against him though cuz it’s not looking enough to sway a jury so far if it was him! 😬🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞

RA is the killer. It will all come together at the end. He said he passed the 3 teens. The 3 teens saw a man. He said he went to the bridge and stood on platform 1. Witness Betsy saw a man on platform 1 as she was leaving. Betsey sees Abby & Libby walking toward High Bridge on her way out. All witnesses say man in bridge picture is who they saw. RA came forward but never said he saw any other man. The timing from data on witness photos, fitbit and camera from cars on road connect the time and RA initially said he was there from 1:30 to 3:30 before he changed his story. RA is bridge guy!

So it was his car, he owned the clothes, owned the firearm, lied about the time in his 2nd interview, was definitely there, had the same build and voice and likes to lie about his height (hence the boots and why he appeared a bit taller). OH and he confessed 60 times!! But NO GUYS HE'S SO INNOCENT HE'D NEVER DO IT!!
