Pump up the volume and listen to those JT8D engines!!!!! I just did what will likely be my last flight on Delta a MD 83. I she'd a tear walking off the plane knowing it would be my last time on an MD 80 series. I would always plan my trips on the MD 80 or DC 9. The 717 has great engine noise but nothing like the DC 9 or MD 80s

Given the lengthy taxi time you can get at VPS if civilian air is using the north-south runway that day, I wonder if someone in scheduling with a sense of history picked it as a final for to extend that last time a little.
