As a Latino that lives in the US, I have to say that Australia has so many talented singers and it makes me sad and angry that they are SO UNDERRATED here in the US and for those who had success, it took them years to experience some success here in the US. For example Kylie Minogue, she didn't make it big in the US until Can’t Get You Out Of My Head was released and became a huge hit in the US.

I wonder why it didn't get a US release? This track, and the album it was taken from, "Innocent Eyes", sold well in Australia, UK and other countries. It is a great song and still one of my Delta favourites, but I think "Born To Try" is my favourite.

I still remember watching this song on MTV late nights in 2003. At that time, there was no KZbin or internet, and where I live in India, we didn't have any source to catch up on International Music or Billboard charts other than the only MTV Channel, which only broadcast international songs late at night. Those memories were golden, and listening to this song again feels so nostalgic. Now we have everything, but the Billboard is full of crap artists. The 2000s were the era of powerful pop ballads ❤️.

I heard this song as a young child, before the times of KZbin. Whenever it came on the radio or on TV I would sit and listen so intently, completely moved by the emotion of it. I didn't have any way of looking it up or even remembering the name, and of course, it eventually stopped being played in public. When I finally rediscovered it as a young adult, I was hit with such a huge wave of nostalgia that it was like I was back in the exact moment I first heard it as a little girl. I don't think I can ever recreate an experience like that, this is honestly a really special song

I really like Delta Goodram but she was implicated in the break up of his marriage at the time. It cost her her UK fan base. People here were upset about that whole affair at the time. I am an a Australian living in UK. No one knows what really happened as the parties concerned didn't talk with the press, but a lot of conclusions were drawn rightly or wrongly.
