Yeah that’s true. I use to do that a lot back in the days but it got a bit messy to keep track of what is audio and what is a synthtrack. And also if you got a click in the beginning of the loop it wasn't that easy to fix it. But I guess there will be some smart way to do this in the upcoming community firmwares.

Very nice workflow! ...just by the by: the CPU indicator isn't a reliable indicator of a problem you can hear. Often what's done to cull voices is to hasten a long release that's already inadible - and if it's SD card reads that are the issue you can have glitches without the CPU-indicator flickering at all. Because of these reasons the indicator was removed in 1.2 - it causes more worries and false positives than it helps.

Hi, how are the Deluge & Loopy synced? Do you have to change the settings for the Deluge & Loopy to get sync working? Thanks!

In deluge you need to go settings->MIDI->CLOCK->OUT and set it to ON. In Loopy Pro you need to go to the settings-menu and then Synchronization and under MIDI Clock Sources you select the audio interface that the deluge is connected to via MIDI OUT.

Personally, I hate to rely on something like a laptop, iphone, ipad for live........if you ever end up doing outdoor shows, they can be a real pain. I've had digital devices overheat and just lock up in hot weather, and it can be very hard to see those screens in bright daylight, etc. Hardware, if well chosen, is always a more solid choice. (this is coming from someone who toured full time, pro, on 'the big stage' , which might not relate at all to your live productions

Yeah I’ve heard from those who do a lot of live shows that the iPad is not ideal and I get that. On the stage you’d want something that you can fully trust in any conditions. I’m just a home composer that has never have played live so I haven’t experienced that side of it.
